The blond laid slumped up against the walls of the school's dojo, his bokken laying next to him. The bokken itself was stained with blood which has since dried, meaning it had been there for quite a while. Damn, who would have thought they'd come back in order to attempt to take his life? Well, it was only logical that they'd try to get him for permanently injuring their little friend. Oh well, it didn't really matter since he denied it all and made sure to fend off their attacks. If anything, the only reason he got injured was because of their numbers. Hikaru began to stir, holding his side as he attempted to sit up but was met with a sharp pain. "Damn..." He said as he wiped away the small droplet of blood running down from the corner of his mouth.
His body felt extremely heavy, but there was nothing to do except to push through the pain and pull himself off of the ground. After all, he had other places to be and this was this last place he wanted to be. Even though he won the fight, injury was something he couldn't exactly avoid. After a minute of trying to get up, he finally achieved his goal yet he could hardly hold his own body up. Was this how the president of the Kendo Club was supposed to look like?
After taking a step forward, he couldn't help but to fall back down to a knee and then down the way to the point where he was once again leaning up against the wall. The blond's hair was let down all the way, as his hair tie had fell off in the middle of the fray. As he leaned his head back against the wall, all he could do was cry. If he hadn't failed to protect his sister in the first place then he wouldn't have been put in this situation and she wouldn't have to see him like this. That was absolutely the last thing he wanted her to see. Hikaru prided himself on being in good condition at all times so that others wouldn't have to waste their time worrying about him, but he couldn't even give them that courtesy anymore. Then again, his own welfare wasn't important, only the happiness of the ones he cared about. But he couldn't secure their happiness if he was unable to move, that would be nothing short than failure!
After a few quiet sobs, he pounded his fist upon the floor. "Why can't I stop being such a screw up!?" A slight smirk came to his face as he finally stopped crying, realizing that he was just as worthless as his father claimed him to be. A weak waste of life...

Hikari had had a pretty bad day. Some hours ago, two boys from her old school and one boy she didn't even know had come to mess with her. It seemed so terrible. No matter what she did, she couldn't escape her old reputation. Had they really followed her all the way here just to torment her? It seemed like there would have been other girls at her old school for them to mess with, but there was no escaping those horny perverts. Luckily, they hadn't done that much other than tease her and push her around before leaving. Of course, she didn't respond to any of their teasing, nor did she ask for help or even try to get away.
In any case, she was worried about him. It had been a few hours since then. He really should have been done with the Kendo club by now. She knew that it would be best if she went to check on him. As much as she wanted to give him some space, it was difficult for her to stay away from him for extended periods of time. If she went too long without seeing him, she'd simply break down into tears. She couldn't even control herself.
The door to the kendo room opened and Hikari made her way inside, only to see that Hikaru looked to be badly injured and was propped against a wall. Quickly, she ran to his side and knelt over next to him.
"Hikaru-kun! Are you okay?"

Hikaru's eyes fluttered as he took note of his sister's appearance, something he hadn't anticipated at all. Now he would have to explain himself or would he? Either way, he'd keep out as many details of the situation as he could. If anything, he was happy to see that she was just fine and didn't seem to have been harassed by those boys from earlier. Relief swept over his entire being as he smiled, pushing through the agony as if he was simply ignoring the pain inflicted upon him. "Don't be such a worrywart, I'm fine." He grunted thereafter, holding his side as a surge of pain coursed through his body. Of course, it was obvious to see that he had been blatantly lying about what he had just said.
"You ready to go home? I think I've practiced enough for today." He managed to say as he attempted to get up under his own power, grunting as he tried to do so. Yet he couldn't get much further than getting upon one knee, breathing heavily just from exerting himself that much. Those guys really did a number on him, he had to admit that. He was lucky that they were relatively untrained and weak when it came to fighting.
"So...how was your day?" He attempted to remain calm and nonchalant about his condition, as if he didn't want to draw much attention to his wounds.

She listened to him speak and she almost believed him, but she could see clearly that he was injured. There was simply no way of getting around it. He was bleeding and he could barely stand. Kendo training wasn't supposed to be this hard, was it? Well, she didn't know about martial arts. She had never trained in fighting before and the only fights she had been in, she never fought back.
"No, you're hurt... You need the ambulance!" She said as she quickly dug into her purse and reached for her cell phone. In only moments, she had pulled it out. She didn't care how he had gotten injured. All that she knew was that he needed help and he needed it right now. She opened the phone and began to dial emergency services.
"I'm calling the ambulance."

"Tch.... I said I'm fine!" The blond snarled at his sister, wanting nothing more than her to put down the phone at that precise moment. He didn't really want to go to the hospital as he wasn't very fond of such places, not to mention he didn't want his father to know of any of the events that had occurred. The less things that bothered his father, the less pain that his family had to endure because of him. There was no way, he could b taken away by the ambulance.
"C'mon. Let's just go...home." The blond found it harder to breathe as the pain in his side increased, almost as though he had an injury in his ribs. Apparently that punch to his side did more damage than he had originally expected. "I don't want him to be angry...That's more important."

After hearing her brother make his demand, she closed her cell phone and put it away once more. Still, she didn't trust that he was doing as well as he claimed to be doing. While she didn't want their father to get more stressed than he already was, she didn't exactly want her brother dying on a walk home due to internal bleeding. Martial arts weren't supposed to be this dangerous in practice.
"Fine... but... can you even stand up? I can't carry you all the way. I think, we need help," she reiterated.

"Stand up? Of course I can, I'm fine..." He said calmly, trying to sound as if he was confident in his ability to do just that. However, even he wasn't sure if he could get to his feet under his own power, though he'd try just for the sake of trying. Exerting as much strength as he could muster, he finally rose to his feet with a loud grunt. Now that he had someone by his side, he definitely wasn't going to fall or anything else. Or at least that's what he assumed despite that fact he was wobbling slightly just from standing up straight. "I'm glad I have such a loving sister, I don't deserve you." The blond said as he grinned at her, trying to make sure he takes everything slowly as possible. However, he was a grateful for her in every meaning of the word.
"I'm just glad to see you're alright...I was a bit worried that those guys from earlier would try something..."

She stood up alongside him. Still, Hikari could tell that something was off with him. He didn't look right. He looked hurt from the fight that he had gotten into earlier, which she was beginning to have suspicions about. Who was it that he had been fighting anyway? Hikari was beginning to wonder.
"Those guys?" She asked suspiciously. She could tell well enough through context clues that his injuries had nothing to do with kendo practice. It was a fight, and apparently, Hikaru thought that they would target her as well. Could it have been those boys? The ones from her old school.
"Was Takeshi's friends who did this to you?"

"Hm. Maaaayyyybbeeeee." Hikaru averted his eyes from his sister's, looking a little bit guilty for not being straightforward as he should have been. Either way, there was no point in getting serious and making more of the situation than what already existed. Of course, it was quite serious but it seemed fine considering they were gone by this point in time. After a nice pause, the blond grinned slightly as he clenched his fist a bit. "I still won. So...bleehhhh." The boy stuck his tongue out at his sister, once again being childish to the point where it seemed like he was overdoing it. But he would go to any lengths to prove that it wasn't as serious as she would make it out to be. The last thing he wanted to do was worry her little head.
"Apparently they think I hurt their friend. I have no idea how they think I did it. It makes no sense." He said his face scrunched up a bit as he pretended to be thinking long and hard about it. Sure, he might have been truly guilty about what had happened about Takeshi but he'd never so it nor would he ever tell Hikari. If anything, what happened to Takeshi was nothing more than a random attack by some kind of freak.

"Hrmm.."
She still couldn't believe that they'd come all the way out here to mess with her brother. She had thought that they had simply come all this way to tease her, but it made sense that they had come for something else now that she thought about it. After all, they hadn't been that bad to her.
"And I thought they had come all this way to mess with me..."
