"Eh....you could have left that part out. I don't wanna know when you're on the dot." The boy eyed his sister up and down before rolling his eyes sarcastically, not knowing what else to say about that. There were just certain things you left out, even to the person you cared most about. Now he had the image of her changing her bloody tampon engraved into his head for all eternity, grimacing as he came back to reality as they approached the boy's locker room. Of course, no one was there to stop Hikari from coming in so it made things a lot easier for them. He quickly approached his locker and unlocked it, setting his bokken on a nearby bench. Of course, he got out of his bloody clothes, leaving nothing on except for his boxers and socks.
Checking out the left side of his stomach, a large bruise could be seen. He gently poked it which prompted him to almost release a loud yelp had he not simply bit down on his lip instead. To think that he got injured this bad. The bruise itself took up plenty of space at that, meaning it was pretty nasty as far as bruises went. For some reason, the pain felt somewhat deeper than just a simple bruise on his flesh. Either way, he quickly scrambled to get his normal clothes on. Looking at himself in the mirror, he realized he still didn't have a hair tie so his hair would have to remain down.
He shuddered again, that nasty image popping up in his head again. "I really wish she hadn't told me that..." He mumbled under his breath.

Hikari followed him into the locker room and sat next to him while he changed his clothes. Seeing him naked wasn't a big deal to her, especially considering their situation and the fact that he was her brother, granted he didn't need to get entirely naked to change here. She simply sat next to him and waited for him to finish changing.
All in all, she had forgotten that there were things that he didn't want to hear about concerning her. It really didn't seem like that big of a deal to her that he knew she was on her period, or the "dot" as he called it, but she knew that he didn't want to hear it and it just slipped out.
"Oh, come on, it's not a big deal. If anything, you should be sympathizing for me. Heh... Maybe this is why you don't have a girlfriend. You think girls are gross... hehe," she teased. "Then again, I can't really say anything. I can't even and don't talk to boys, and yet I just can't keep them away from me... I'm the polar opposite, and I'll tell you it's worse."

Hikaru turned to face his sister, rolling his eyes slightly. He didn't find girls gross or weird, it was just that there weren't any girls that met his standards or even had the qualities that he wanted. In other words, they were unfit for his attention and the ones that he tried to start a relationship with only ended up hurting him in the end. But that was back in middle school, he eventually realized that putting himself out there just to get hurt was no longer worth it. Hell, he never got what he wanted in the end. "You trying to imply that I'm gay?" He raised an eyebrow before leaning up against a locker, smirking slightly as if he slid into "cool mode."
Besides, it wasn't as though he didn't have a bunch of admirers as well. It was just more or less that he ignored them while Hikari kept appeasing them. After all, he was the captain of the Kendo Club, got relatively good grades and had a pretty calm demeanor for the most part. "Eh. None of the girls who try talking to me are worth a minute of my time. I'm much too busy for them. Besides I've already got my eye on one so their advances mean nothing to me."
Crossing his arms, he grinned slightly. "You just have to tell them off if you don't want their attention. If they're smart, they'll know what's good for them."

"You know I can't tell them."
Hikari had listened to his suggestion, but he had to know better than anyone else that his suggestion wouldn't work for her. She couldn't talk to anyone unless Hikaru was around, especially boys and adults. Telling the boys that she wasn't interested would be near impossible to her. She was even too nervous to write a note on paper and give it to one of them. Hikari didn't even know why she felt that way. It was simply how she felt.
"You've already got your eyes on a girl?" She asked skeptically. One of her eyebrows raised. She wondered who he was talking about, and more specifically if the girl had met her. For some reason, she had a hard time thinking about her brother having a girlfriend, but she thought it would be for the best if he did get one.
"Who? Have I met her? Is she pretty? You don't have to answer that. Your perspective would probably be biased anyway. But if you like her so much, and girls are after you, why isn't she your girlfriend?"

The teenager just stayed in his current position, shrugging to her comment about her not being able to tell guys off. That was something she'd have to change on her own, even he couldn't do anything about that even though he really wanted to.
"Of course I do." That was right before the interrogation began about this supposed girl that he liked. It was somewhat ironic that she was asking a bunch of questions about someone she already knew quite well. Hell, she knew this girl better than anyone else in the entire world. With that, he smirked slightly as she had no clue at all about who he was talking about.
"Hm. I'll tell you who she is. She's the prettiest girl I know. Long golden hair, bright blue eyes and a smile that lights up the world even if things seem darker than night itself. Even though she doubts herself greatly, I never stop believing in her. Things are just slightly complicated between her and myself, that's why I haven't said anything to her yet...." He smiled as he spoke, though he found it intriguing that he was speaking to the very person he was speaking of. Knowing her, she'd probably never catch on to that little fact. "Of course, I don't care about these complications, but she might so...I'm not sure how to go about things.."

Hikari smiled as she listened to her brother speak. He really did seem to be quite infatuated with this girl, whoever she was. Hikari really did wonder who this girl was, but listening to his description, she couldn't figure out who she was. To her knowledge, there weren't really that many blond girls at their school. They were in Japan after all. Blondes were scarce. Who could he be talking about, and what were the complications? She began to wonder. The only thing she could think of was that this girl was of a much higher class. Maybe she was filthy rich... either that or she had AIDS.... maybe he was actually in love with a boy. She didn't think that her brother was bisexual though. In any case, it did seem like he was in a jam.
"Well... I suppose part of it depends on what the complications are. If they're of danger to your health or dangerous, I wouldn't advise you to open yourself up to her," Hikari said. After all, she wouldn't ever want to see her brother get hurt because of her advice. As such, she felt it was necessary to start off with some kind of warning.
"Otherwise, I don't see what you have to lose. If she isn't interested, or thinks that such complications are too much, then she'll tell you. It really all depends on how much you love her and how much you're willing to risk. But in any case, she won't be the only girl out there for you. If things don't work out, you'll find plenty of other girls."

Apparently after saying all of that, it still didn't click with her. Maybe that was for the best, simply because he didn't want her to break his heart as of yet. After all, he wasn't exactly sure how she felt about him outside of their brother-sister relationship. She was some things that were making a lot of sense, which actually surprised him since he doubted she didn't know much about this particular topic. She was really surprising him with what she knew and the quality of her advice. If anything, he was really impressed with how she's grown. Even so, she failed to mention that opening yourself up to the person you love means that you're vulnerable. Hikaru was the type of person who would leave himself open and put his heart on the line in any situation that required it. However...he wasn't sure if he could survive heartbreak of the magnitude he was thinking of. What if she truly didn't feel the same?
"I don't have anything to lose? I wouldn't go that far, but you're right about a few things..." He pondered over all the information going through his mind at that moment. If he never took the last step forward and said what he wanted to say, then he'd never know for sure. He may even be wondering "what if.." for the rest of his life, a regret that he wanted to live without.
"Love is about taking risks and throwing caution to the wind... For the person I love most, I'd willing to risk everything that I am. I'd be willing to put my heart on the line just to be heard. And for her...I'd die. Maybe I should just stop worrying about the barriers that exist between her and myself that way I can try my best to break them down and see if my words can reach her....because she's the only one for me..." The boy began to smile kindly at his sister, wondering whether or not he should do such a thing at that very moment.

It sounded as though there was a very lucky girl out there. She had never imagined her brother feeling like this about some girl, and hearing him say it made her feel a little bit jealous, actually. She kind of wished that there was a boy out there who felt the same way about her, but most of the boys she had been with so far turned out to be nothing other than jerks.
"Any girl would be lucky to have you... and if you love her so much that you'd die for her.. well, I really don't see what could go wrong if you did open up to her." She said to Hikaru in all honesty. Still, she was a bit cautious about this. She couldn't imagine having to share Hikaru with anyone else. She needed him more than any other girl could ever need him. Hell, she couldn't even feel comfortable going out in public without him.
"I can't even believe I said what I said. I don't know if I could share you with any girl," she said. Though she was serious, she did her best to put a humorous spin on it so that it would be ambiguous to whether or not she was joking.

"Yep. You're right, I should open up to her." All he needed was an effective way to do so without scaring her away or anything like that. After all, he was skirting across the line of ethics since they were brother and sister. Of course, such things didn't matter to him, but he wondered how she felt about it all. He looked as though he was thinking hard about everything, lost in his own little daydream for a moment or two. Clenching his right fist tightly, he finally came to his senses and decided that he should go forward with his feelings instead of looking like a weak child who couldn't convey their thoughts. After all, that was a weakness of a child and he wanted to become a man who could protect what he loved. To be strong and prosperous, that was his dream.
"Don't worry, you won't have to share me with anyone." He finally sat down on the bench next to Hikari, though now he was plagued with a sort of nervousness that he had never experienced before in his life. It was as though his heart was about to be torn out of his chest at that very moment, his cheeks turning a bright red color. Usually he was calm and chilled, yet this was something that he couldn't remain calm about.
"I could never imagine myself without you. Yet...for some reason, it's hard for me to tell you that I love you. It's not just because you're the prettiest girl I know or because of your beautiful smile or anything superficial like that. But because of how you make me feel when I'm near you. I love you, Kari-chan. I don't care if it's wrong or bad, but...I love you."

Hikari could tell that things were about to get relaly serious when Hikaru took as eat next to her. She really began to wonder who this girl was that had him so serious and so worried about her affection. It was obvious to her that he was head ofer heels for this girl and was in need of guidance, and she knew that it was her that he wanted the guidance from. However, his next words threw her for a loop. She wouldn't have to share him? So this was all a ruse? she thought at first, until his true confessions came out.
Surprisingly enough, she didn't feel uncomfortable with what he was telling her. It didn't feel completely out of place, though at the same time it was very odd. She hadn't expected anything like this, and had been beginning to think that she was something close to unlovable. For the most part, boys only tried to use her. She curled her index finger in her hair as she listened to him. She twirled it for a second before she pulled her finger out and put her other hand on his lap.
"Wait... Do you mean love love?" she asked, not entirely sure of whether or not that was what he meant. Otherwise, she simply thought that he may have been joking.
"Or like, brother sister love?"
