Episode 4: Cover of Darkness (Henry/Takato/Rika)

Myotismon still wasn't down, but still, things were looking a little less helpless now that everyone had digivolved. Now Gargomon had another wave of bats all over him, nipping at his ears. "They're like flies. Really big and annoying flies. Bunny Pummel!" Gargomon grumbled, punching the bats away from him. It was still a harsh attack though, but he still had a chance to do some more damage to Myotismon before his super strength boost ran out. As Kyubimon sent the blue flames flying toward Myotismon, Gargomon raised his guns and aimed for the vampire digimon as well. "Gargo Laser!" He shouted, adding gun fire to the attack wave.

[Takato Matsuki]

Due to Growlmon's size, he was unable to dodge the huge swarm of bites. Growlmon started laughing and said, "S-Stop, that tickles! OW!" at first the bats seemed to only be tickling him, but soon they actually started to hurt him. He's eye became strong again as his tail began to form plasma energy around it. He then bellowed, "Dragon Spine!" He swung his tail around moving the bats away from his body.

Growlmon heard several attacks called by Kyubimon and Gargomon. He might as well give thme an extra boost. He opened his mouth and a ball of fire started to form in the back of his throat. He then called, "Pyro Blast!" Just then a line of fire coming for Growlmon was sent at Mytoismon hoping to help the other attacks sent at him.

Summoning his whip of crimson energy, the vampire digimon prepared to extend it towards Calumon. After all, with his bats distracting the fools, they were leaving him all alone. But, just as he was about to make his attempt, he heard the three, one after another, send attacks towards his direction.

"Ugh! I see no end in sight!"

Using what little energy he had, Myotismon twirled the energy whip infront of him, making it almost like a shield. With this movement, he managed to block both the explosive flames of Kyuubimon and the gun fire of Gargomon. Though the line of flames due to Growlmon was more difficult to handle. Causing him to side-step out of its range.

"You are indeed strong...I admit that I misjudged you. But, you are all blind to see the true purpose of all this..."

Myotismon laughed, holding his shoulder as he allowed his weapon to dissolve within his hand.

"The plan behind this encounter is greater than you can imagine, and far extends any that have come before it..."

[Kazai]

Kyuubimon landed gently on the ground after having used her technique. This fight was getting long and tedious, but Rika was beginning to think that it was coming close to the conclusion. Now that Renamon, Guilmon, and Terriermon had digivolved, there was very little that they couldn't do. Without a doubt, this change of events was thanks to Calumon and the catalyst he held within him. Still, she could not let up, even for a moment.

"Digimodify! Subzero Ice Breath Activate!"

"Subzero Ice Breath!" Kyuubimon shouted as she leapt up into the air above Myotismon. In only an instant, she began to blow a blast of cold air at him. It wouldn't be enough to freeze him, nor would it be lethal to him, but she hoped the chilling air would be enough to slow him down and give the other two Digimon enough time to attack him and bring him down for good.

"Lets finish this guys!"

Effect: The Digimon acquires the Special Ability "Ice". The digimon's breath becomes chillingly cold but is not lethal.

Myotismon had went to attack Calumon, but failed as the tamer's digimon's attacks proved a decent distraction. Distractions however, weren't really what they were going for. They needed a more permanent course of action, they needed to finish this digimon off. It clearly wouldn't be long now. It was obvious Myotismon was weakening. He hopefully wouldn't survive the next round of attacks. "Well I don't suppose you are going to tell us what those plans are. Gargo Laser!" Gargomon remarked, adding another burst of gunfire to Kyubimon's Sub Zero Ice Breath attack.

Plans behind this attack? That was not good -- it meant this wasn't just a random attack, and more could be expected. Great. He was sort of getting used to the peace of an ordinary life. But it seemed trouble would always find them at some point. They just needed to be ready for it when ever it came. Plans that far extend any beyond it? Worse than the D-Reaper? Couldn't be. Nothing could be worse than the D-reaper.

[Takato Matsuki]

"GET EM GROWLMON!" said Takato as he saw the other attacks head towards Myotismon. Takato couldn't believe how strong this digimon was. Serisouly, it was taking them all on with out breaking a sweat. Them on the other hand.....okay, there was pools of sweat around them...

Growlmon heard Takato telling him to get him and roared before saying, "Pyro Blast" From his mouth erupted another row of heat powered flames heading directly towards Myotismon.

Myotismon frowned as he lifted his cowl up in attempt to block the cold wind from reaching him. But in doing so, he slowly felt its cloth freezing in that very position. Thus, his cloak was no longer flexible with the wind. Watching it fall to pieces with the simple movement of his arm, he looked upon the attacks coming towards him with a smirk.

"Long live the dark knight...."

With that, he was blown away, and shot intill data began to rise from his lifeless form as his body faded into nothing.

[Henry]

Henry watched as their opponent split into data and began to float away, a type of... satisfaction washing over him as Myotismon dissipated. He never enjoyed fighting much, and loading data was out of the question. Even if he hadn't exactly been the nicest digimon around... he deserved a second chance.

"Take that ya big bully!" Gargomon said triumphantly, raising a gun-fist in a gesture of success. "You'll think twice before messing with us!"

A smirk could not help but form across Henry's face. He had missed his partner deeply, and to see him so enthusiastic and happy once more, he could not help but feel the same. His pondering were cut short, however, as the gun-wielding bunny digimon he was thinking about embraced him in a hug.

"Henry!" Gargomon exclaimed "Now we have time for a happy reunion! Ive missed you Henry!"

"I... Ive missed you too buddy!" Henry said, hugging his digimon back. He had to admit, it was indeed nice to have his partner back. He had gone over this moment in his head before, wondering exactly what he would say... what he would do... He hadn't actually thought of it actually happening though! For now, his worries of the Myotismon's words faded from his mind, and he simply enjoyed the fact that all of them were reunited together again...

Kyubimon hadn't even wasted a second. As soon as Myotismon's data had begun to disperse, she jumped into the air and began absorbing the demon's data. As they had figured out long ago, it was probable that digimon with tamers did not need the data as wild digimon needed in order to grow, but old habits were hard to break and she had been in the Digital World for so long.

Rika ran back to the group, meeting up with Takato and Henry with a wide grin, the kind of grin that Rika only seemed to show after having dominated on the battlefield.

"I guess we showed him who's boss," Rika said smirkly as Kyubimon came back onto the ground landing next to her. The fight was over, and all three of the original tamers were now united. This is what Rika had been wishing for for such a long time, but she only wished it could stay like this. If it was becoming so easy for digimon to breech now-a-days, she knew that there was a large potential for even more danger.

Takato gave a sigh as he fell to the ground on his bum. Wow, that battle was a lot more....intense then he thought it would be. But he looked up with a smile on his face. How long had it been since he been with Guil-, no Growlmon. Not to mention Rika and Henry.

He looked up at Growlmon as he turned to look down at him. Takato lauged a little as he saw tears the size of watermelons form in the giant dinosaur. He stood up from where he had been sitting and said, "Good job boy..." He then turned towards Rika and said, "Well was there any doubt?"
