The digimon stopped, his movements halted by this rather strange event. So far, he had seen the old man slide something through a small device and then run for cover near the human child. Last time, something had happened when this was done, yet...he didn't see anything new appear. No attack, no flashy lights...nothing...
Puzzeled, the rooster scanned his surrounding area, clucking as he tried to find out what the two had just done.

Leo was also wondering exactly what had gone on. Would something really happen? Was it even possible for another tamer to use someone elses D-Arc? Well, his partner was currently made of stone, so things would't matter much really. He doubted that card would do anything without his partner to wield it. They were screwed either way.
At least, that was what he had thought. However, to his suprise, he saw a cat-like figure wielding a sword leap up from behind the rooster, bringing its blade down upon one of its wings...

The reporter noticed rain was still falling on his face, "Why isn't the shield working? I thought you just slide the card through and that's it?" In realization and in horror, he looks at the giant bird. It confused him that it stood there, able to read What the heck just happened? on its face.
Slowly getting up, he tries to pick up the boy. "We better move." Then out of nowhere, Leo's partner continues his assault on the monster.

Sadly, while everyone had noticed the Gazimon return to movement, Kokotorimon had yet to realized this. Staring towards the humans with a blank expression, he then released a out yelp of pain as one of its wings quickly dropped to the ground beside it.
Screeching and clucking in pain, the large chicken stumbled forwards and then down upon its side. Data then poured from its wound as it slowly faded into nothing.

Having sliced the birds wing off, Gazimon gracefully landed right before the two humans. He turned his head, and his whole body, facing the dissolving bird, and leaned back, allowing the opponents data to freely flow into him, until all that was left of the bird had been absorbed into his body. His knuckles and blade dissolved into nothing as he straightened himself out.
"Ugh... I thought you humans associated being 'stoned' as something that felt good..." He grumbled, stretching out his limbs as he did so. He then turned to face the two humans, and grabbed Vincent by the collar of his shirt, hoisting him up and grabbing Leo's digivice from his hand, tossing it to his partner. "Now then mister. I suggest you hand over what you have captured of this night, unless you have no care for your personal safety..."
"...e...easy Gazimon..." Leo shuddered as he caught his device, a bit dumbfounded by all that had just occured. "He has a D-Arc too..."
"Oh yah? He also has photos of me that would risk putting you in the papers again. Thats the only thing I really care about." He said over his sholder to his human "Not like that thing is of any use to him without a partner anyway..."

It was astonishing and unexpected that the bird was apparently killed, only for its body to start dissolving. If Vincent wasn't so captivated, he would've made a smart ass reply about how it must've came from a video game, if it wasn't leaving its body behind. Gamimon took advantage, Vincent finding himself close to the ground looking in the face of a pissed off, overly-sized plushy. "Now then mister. I suggest you hand over what you have captured of this night, unless you have no care for your personal safety..."
It seemed that Leo was trying to calm his partner, but Gazimon wouldn't head to it. It was clear to Vincent that the Digimon saw him as a threat. If it had no problem going after the bird several times bigger than himself, the creature could dispatch him no problem. Please tell me he knows about digital cameras
Acting fast with Gazimon's head turn, Vincent grabbed the cell phone. He holds it out, where Gazimon couldn't reach it. "I press one button and the photos are sent to my work!" He demanded attention. Continuing in a serious tone, "If you don't want him in the papers, plushy, let me go first, and we'll talk about you having the film. You saved my life, but I'm not going to show any gratitude unless it's clear you're not going to kill me"
There were many risks in this gamble. First, if Gazimon didn't know anything about technology; the bluff means nothing. Second, they could think having work on speed-dail was a bluff. Even though it was true; if the cat-like being thought it wasn't the truth, what would prevent him from killing him. And lastly, if the two realized the type of camera he had. Though there are digital made to look like those type of cameras; nothing beats the quality of actual film. His main hope was that Gazimon wasn't a killing machine, period. Or the gamble meant nothing the second he was grabbed.

The digimon growled at the humans sudden motion to grab his phone, too late to stop him, realizing that complying may be in his best intrest. He was smart enough to know that such things WERE possible. Leo owned just about every gadget there was out now these days, and he knew human technology had progressed far because of it. Disgruntled, he tossed the man down onto the ground, scowling.
"Eh, I don't like killing humans anyway..." He mumbled, arms crossed as he stared down the human "Besides, if you are lying, I swear, you are going to WISH that chicken had gotten you..."
The heavy rain had hindered the cats ability to pick up scents, so he wouldn't be able to track the human should he choose to run or go back on his word, though he hoped that this wasn't apparent to him. Leo began to fade into the background, watching the events unfold as if they were a TV show, and not really right infront of him. He hadn't seen his partner worked up like this before. In a way, it made him feel happy he cared so much, but he did hope he didnt hurt the man too bad at least...
"The chicken was all in a days work. If I didn't feel it my obligation to exterminate things like that, you would have been on your own" His tone was changing. It might be slightly evident that he did not fully mean those words, though he did still sound angered. "Now lets get to showing some gratitude. Those pictures arn't leaving here. Period."

I was afraid it wouldn't know or just would've killed me... What would've the police and news think of that? Vincent picks himself up, as Gazimon tells him, "Besides, if you are lying, I swear, you are going to WISH that chicken had gotten you..." Even though it was raining harder, he wasn't going to run. First off, they both did save his life. Second, with not knowing about what either of them could do, reporter wasn't going to risk being chased then killed.
"Now lets get to showing some gratitude. Those pictures arn't leaving here. Period." Lightening on his tone a bit, "That's fine. First, you're going to tell my what you and that bird are. Then what are the devices that the boy and I have? After you tell me, I'll give you the film, so you can do whatever you want with it. The reported takes a look at Leo. The adult could see that the boy was shocked but, He was giving the plushy items, so it couldn't be the bird... He was trying to calm it down, so they both each other, and they mentioned something about me having a D-Arc too... The British man then focuses on Gazimon's responses.

Gazimon scowled and crossed his arms. The human was in no place to be demanding things of him, but at the same time, he was in no condition to retalliate. He had essentially been blackmailed. The only thing to do was hope that the human would be honest with him, because thats what he was going to be doing.
"Grr... well, without the photos you wont be able back any of this up at least, and I can only threaten you so many times..." He said in a disgruntled tone "Both me and the bird are called Digimon. Artificially intelligent creatures who have gained the ability to become real within your world." He pointed a claw behind him at Leo who was still watching on, almost disconnected from the scene "Some of us pair up with humans who can use that device you got to power us up. Generally we try and get rid of the nastier guys who seem to slip through."

The man guessed that the Digimon might be telling the truth. Sounds like a plot from a bad anime... It explains a possible reason why not many people would know, if they just showed up to random, invidual people. If it's a lie, it didn't sound like one at this minute. He needs to hear more before coming up with a good judgment if he's being told a bad story or not. However, there's something that needs to be done.
Vincent puts away his cell phone. He quickly pulls out the film from the fight, and tosses it to Leo. It wasn't to Gazimon, as the man didn't know if the over-sized plushy could catch it. As he pulls out the camera and shows the film resavoir, "This camera didn't use a memory card. You've got the real film. Is there going to be any other problems?"
It was then that his memory had kicked in. It was several ears ago that he did come across Leo. Generally, it was annoying assignment. It was always stupid to cover a well-known person whenever they had given birth or adopted. He did look like an older version of the boy, but wanted to make sure. "Sorry if this questions seems to be from the middle of nowhere. But aren't you the son of Ryuuto Megami?"
