Enter Monmon Though the park had closed some time ago, there was one Digimoon who would just not let the fun end. Though they had tried to kick him out of the park upon closing, he was able to get the best of security and simply made his hiding spot at the very top of the ferris wheel until closing was finally completed. And now, at just a little bit past 3am, this Digimon had the park all to himself. Though the power was out, and it was completely dark, that didn't bother him. Even without the lights and rides, the park could be a lot of fun.
"Woooohooo!" Monmon cried as he ran through the park. Though he was a primate type Digimon, he was almost exactly like a real child, a weird looking child, but a child nonetheless. Though suddenly, he stopped by the benches. He heard something, though he wasn't sure what it was.
"Whoever you are! Come out!"

Larry and Renee were hurrying to the place where a digimon was last shown to spawn. TACCOM already relayed the coordinates, and was rather displeased that they weren't able to prevent the pest from getting inside in the first place. Still, no digimon spawning in the city would escape unpunished. Not on Hypnos' watch. Easily making it through the gate, the government duo went inside, all wits sharp and prepared for anything.
- Hmm... Where could the creature be? I cannot see... - the young man said, but silenced, when Renee suddenly gave him a signal.
- Quiet, master... Listen... - she whispered, and they both shut up, carefully listening to the sounds surrounding them. There were few of those, since no people were around at this kind of hour at a theme park, and, in that eery silence, they have heard ... a cheerful cry. That wasn't expected. What could a child be doing around here?
- A child? Here? At this hour? Did he get lost or something? - Larry muttered a few questions. Renee didn't answer them, but instead a tranquil expression on her face suddenly changed with ... vicious an murderous. Her eyes glowed scarily in the darkness of the night.
- Eyes deceive you, master. 'Tis not a child, but a digimon, who masquerades himself as one. This is the digimon we are looking for. - Renee explained. Larry blinked in amazement a few times. If digimon were able to mask themselves as humans, how they were supposed to fight such an illusive thread? This would be reported ... after they deal with ... this filth.
- We cannot allow the creature to escape, Renee. Here's the plan: with this fog covering your movements, you are going to sneak upon the target, and kill it ... with one shot... - the young man said, and a nasty scowl appeared on his face as well. The renamon grinned.
- He will never know what killed him... - she replied. Without any delay, Larry swiped a card through his digivice, and, out of nowhere, dense fog surrounded the area, which was more like smoke screen, because it would take a sharp eye to see anything through it. A perfect cover. Renamon disappeared in it completely, maneuvering to get a better shot on the target...

The fog had seemingly come from no where, but Monmon did recognize it. The fog seemed a lot like the same fog that had come when he was bio-emerging into the human world. Strange. Perhaps another Digimon was bioemerging here right now. He couldn't be too sure, but he did feel very suspicious, especially due to the lack of noise and that feeling that he was being spied on. But where was this person who was spying on him?
Monmon quickly jumped up into the air and landed gently on a tree branch. He wasn't sure if someone was after him, but it was simply too quiet right now. If a digimon was bioemerging, they should have been making some noise.
"Who's there? Come out."

The digimon was obviously confused by such a sudden change of surroundings, and didn't understand what was going on. He should have figured that his only chance was to run, but instead, he kept shouting in tthe fog, hoping someone would answer. Of course, Renee knew better than to make any sounds at all - she was a born stealth warrior.
Those screams and shouts helped her very much with figuring out the current position of her target, and plot a course so that the digimon wouldn't even have a slightest chance of spotting her. After all, she had the element of surprise, and she would use that advantage to cast a devastating blow upon the fake human. - Hmm... I'd better attack in a way the scum would not see, or hear anything, until it is too late... Wait, I know... - a cunning plan was born in her head.
She picked up a rather large stone from the ground, very carefully, so that no one would hear, and tossed it somewhere not too far away from the tree the target was sitting on. The rolling stone would have imitated something moving, and, perhaps, make the curious enemy go and see what it is, thus allowing the renamon to flank it...

Monmon soon heard something else, he quickly turned his head in that direction. There was certainly something else out here. The question was what, and in this fog, he couldn't see it at all. It was quite possible that there was nothing out here, but if it was another Digimon, then they were obviously after him, otherwise they wouldn't be so quiet right now. Normal Digimon wouldn't attempt to be so stealthy. There were only two possibilities. The Digimon was either scared of him, or it was trying to load his data.
In the mean time, the monkey would have to use this time to retreat higher upon the tree. Maybe from the top of the tree he would be able to see better. Plus, his target wouldn't be able to climb up the tree without making any noises, so this would take away the possible element of surprise. He quickly climbed up higher until he was finally at the top of the tree. From there, he looked down, still with his eyes in the direction from where he heard the stone.
Now what?...

Figures, didn't work... It only climbed higher... Now I have to think up how to get up there without making a sound... - the fox thought, maneuvering around the tree, being hidden both by fog and the tree itself. She wouldn't try climbing the tree just yet, not until she runs out of options. - If only I could fly... - she thought wearily, blaming herself for a sudden loss of tactical advantage...
But somehow that last though going through her head was ... felt by her tamer. Maybe it was empathy or something, or maybe a bond between a digimon and a tamer worked that way. In any case, Larry felt awfully compelled to slash a certain card through the digivice. Am I hearing voices in my head now? - the young man asked himself and swiped another card...
Suddenly, Renee felt awfully light, as if she had no weight at all. A bit amazed, she saw that she wasn't standing on the ground - her feet were hovering above it. A nasty smirk appeared on her face. I knew I could count on you, Larry... - she thought, silently flying around the tree, like a ghost, until reaching the branch the digimon sat on, looking into the fog, trying to spot anything.
- Power paw...[/color] - she thought, but didn't announce her attack (that would blow her cover), and ghastly-blue flames appeared at her fists and feet. With that, she attempted to kick the digimon from behind with all her strength, aiming to knock it down crashing into the ground... And considering it was pretty high up, serious injuries might have followed...

Monmon remained cautious at all times. He was very aware that it was highly probable that he was about to be attacked, and for that reason he was already on his toes. He wouldn't let this enemy get the best of him if there was in fact a true enemy. It would have been dangerous if he let his guard down. He certainly didn't want his data to be absorbed when he had only just made it to the human world. It had been a lifelong dream of his to come here and find his very own tamer... it wasn't going to end like this.
Hrmmm... Monmon thought deeply. Without any time to prepare himself, however, he felt something kick his butt from behind him. At this same time, he used what little momentum he could muster to fall forward in a jump. When he finally arrived at the ground, he did a full roll and got back up onto his feet.
"Hey you! What's the big idea!" He screamed out loud, even though at this point he still couldn't see who it was that had attacked him.
"Jerk!"

The monkeyboy appeared to be more agile than Renee had anticipated - he didn't quite take any damage from that fall, and was now looking more angry than wounded or anything. Another mistake, she berated herself for it. She should have used something with more punch to it. She still had some element of surprise though - the opponent didn't figure where she was, and his yelling and screaming was giving away position again.
Silent and sinister like a ghost, she levitated away from his presumable line of sight, wishing to attack from the side or something like that. Charging in now would be a bit pointless, when she had an excellent, quiet, and deadly weapon. One of her attacks, bets suited for assassinations - diamond storm.
She formed sharp crystals around herself - they didn't gleam in the light, for there was no light, making them quite invisible in the grayness of the fog. Aiming at the estimated position of the target, she shot the diamonds, meaning to cover an area with them, cutting down anything within it... You won't get away... Not this time...

Monmon knew at this point that another attack was going to come for him and soon. The only thing that he didn't know was where it was going to come from and how rapidly it was going to come. That was the main problem at this point. He needed to get himself some cover, but considering that he didn't know where his opponent was, finding an appropriate spot to cover would be rather difficult. The only thing that he did know about the Digimon that he was fighting was that it could fly.
Quickly, he did three flips back and stood his ground. He'd have to wait and simply do his best to defend himself when the attack came down upon him. A storm of sharp and powerful diamonds soon rained down upon him, and even with his strength and agility, he was certainly taking damage from it.
"Kakaaaa!!!" He cried out due to the force of the attack, which soon left him falling onto the ground in pain. It seemed the fog was about over, and he'd soon be able to see his assailant, but at the same time... the pain. He could barely move.

The attack finally hit the annoying pest, the crystal rain of daggers did its work perfectly - covered by at least a dozen cuts, the monkeyboy collapsed on the ground, weakened and battered. It wasn't too long until it's final hour would come, and death was near - for now, it took a form of a sadistic silver renamon. She hovered down slowly, flying in front of the wounded monkey. There was nothing else in her eyes, besides a silent desire to kill.
As the fog slowly disappeared, Larry was now able to see what was going on. It seemed that Renee had the digimon on the ropes - battered and defeated, there was only one move required to finish off the bastard who pretended to be a human. And, like it was told, Hypnos would not show mercy to these ... vermin programs, who seek to destabilize the human world once more. He slashed yet another card through his digivice, and Renee's arm was replaced with a huge gun of a gorillamon. Call it "insurance".
- Die. - the renamon announced her intentions with one brief, yet sinister word, pointing the gun at the monkey digimon, and didn't hesitate to shoot the next moment, aiming for the head...
