Hikari was now making her way home from her first day back at her old school. She was glad to be back at her old school. The reason had nothing to do with homework, friends, or teachers, but rather simply because she wanted to be at the same school as her brother. She had missed the comfort of being able to spend nearly every waking second with him. She didn't know how she lived without him.
The two of them had finally arrived in their very well-off neighborhood, and they walked alongside each other, hand in hand. Hikari never wanted to let his hand go ever again, though unfortunately she knew she'd have to eventually. Though for now, she simply wanted to enjoy being with him. She stopped walking in her tracks, and turned to face him, holding his other hand in hers as well. She then looked up at him and smiled. She was obviously in no hurry to get home.

The twins had been enjoying a nice walk home while holding hands, almost as though they were conjoined there or something similar. All he knew was that he never wanted let her go, not even if the entire world rested on his shoulders. For if it meant he'd have to give her up, then the world might as well crumble and burn. After all, she was absolutely the most important thing in his life and nothing would ever change that. Sure it was probably a bit weird to think such things about one's sister, but you could never exactly choose who you do and don't fall in love. If anything, it just sort of happens. Besides, she needed some kind of support and if it wasn't him then it would most likely be no one. Not to mention there wasn't a person in the world who knew him more than she did, therefore she was the perfect match for him.
"Hm? What's up?" The blond looked at his sister questioningly, trying to understand what she was doing. The pair was rather close to their home since they had entered the general vicinity of their neighborhood, though they could always take the long way back and do something fun for once. It worked out just fine that way since he didn't have to attend to his duties as the Kendo Club's captain for once.
The boy stared at Hikari for a moment, looking a bit flustered as if he didn't know what to say next. "Did you want to hang out for a bit before we go home, since I have off?" He finally smiled back at her, happy that she was back in her proper place. But for some reason, he kept having this pervasive thought in the back of his head telling him that one day she'd no longer be by his side and he'd be alone like the loser that he was.

Hikari simply smiled dreamily at her brother for a couple seconds, though she quickly shook herself out of it. It was a strange, yet wonderful feeling to be able to be this close again thoughout the whole day. She had missed walking home so much. Plus now, she never had to be afraid to speak because she always had her brother alongside her and make her feel safe.
"Yeah! We should do something fun!" She said quite excitedly, now jumping up and down energetically. Though, of course, part of this was that she didn't want to go home yet to deal with her father. He wasn't always bad, but going and seeing him in the afternoon like this after work could always be such a gamble, plus he hadn't been very proud of her lately after all that had happened.
"Hrmmm.. What do you want to do?"

"Let's go to a cafe and go sneak some cake before dinner." The boy said while sticking his tongue out playfully. He wanted to go somewhere quiet with her and just talk, just like most normal people did. However, there was also something else prompting him to say suggest this particular activity. He was beginning to feel a bit drowsy, almost as his body was coming to a crawl. Usually when that happened it meant that his sugar levels were dangerous low, though he never revealed when such a thing would happen. He was just too busy with everything going on in his life to take care of himself properly which was especially dangerous because of his condition.
Thinking to himself some more, he pulled one of Hikari's hands to his face before kissing the back of it, looking up at her. "We can do whatever you want and go anywhere you'd like." That's right, her own wants and needs were much more important than his own as far as he was concerned. If he didn't do things like this, no one else would. Then again, no one was as qualified to love his sister like he could. At least for the moment.

Hrmmm.. Cafe? The cafe idea really didn't sound like too much fun to her. She liked to do things that expended a lot of her energy, such as theme parks, and the likes, though she probably couldn't get away with staying out much later anyway without her father getting a bit upset. Despite this, she'd do anything that Hikaru wanted to do anyway. She simply enjoyed tagging along with him in any case.
"Oh! Oh! I know!" Hikari finally said, suddenly feeling another surge of excitement. "We can digi-battle! I just got a new booster pack!"

Takuya was home. Already home from school and in the house with nothing to do. He sat staring out the window, daydreaming and wishing that he did have something that he could do. The refrigerator in the other room opened, the very same refrigerator door slamming shut a few seconds later. A thought in the back of his mind wondered if that was a sign that today’s drinking was about to begin right now, his heart sank and he twisted around to see if the person in the kitchen was his father or not. But with his quick glance, he saw no one, must have walked out of the room or something.
If he went to one of his hiding places now, then he could go there and not have to worry about it... but it was still so early... and he felt miserable as he turned his eyes to the glass of the window again. Two figures were clearly some distance away from the house, his older brother and sister. Takuya didn’t exactly get excited at seeing their faces from his position at the window, but now he was conflicted as to what he should do. He could hide as he was planning... or he could go outside and follow them just to stay away from the house and his father’s drinking problem.
The child’s eyes shifted around as he tried to decide between his two relatively crappy options. And once again he glanced back toward the kitchen before walking slowly to the front door and opening it to the outside world. He stepped outside warily, pushing the door shut behind him with both hands in a quiet manner so that the sound heard by his father was at its minimum.
Pathetic as it was, the young boy felt shy around his own older brother and sister, even as he walked up to them as they seemed to be having a nice time he still looked worried that they would turn him away. They might tell him to go back home, and then all his fears would return. “U—umm... hi,” he greeted the two, looking up at them both only briefly before staring down at his feet and feeling awkward.

"Eh? I don't have my cards on me." Sure he played the game, only to satisfy the need for his siblings to be able to beat him at something. His forte was more or less along the lines of sports, he was never really all that good at that digimon card game. If anything, he was probably the worst player in the family, though he had been known to get lucky a few times. Anyways, it would make no sense for him to carry around his cards all the time, it wasn't like he played all the time or anything like that.
Hearing some light footsteps and seeing a messy mane of blond hair, Hikaru turned his head slightly to notice that one of their other siblings had spotted them. It seemed like their little date was over before it even began, but it didn't bother him at all. He'd have another chance to take her out somewhere nice and maybe...he'd even tell her what he had wanted to say to her for a long time. Or maybe not, who knew? Finally, Hikaru broke away from the girl's grip and patted his younger brother's head before ruffling his hair. "Hey, Takun." Rather than wondering what his little brother was doing outside of the house, he decided to just welcome his presence.
"What's up, big guy?"

Excuses, excuses Hikari thought as her brother said something about not bringing his cards with him. Of course, Hikari had been ready for such a lame excuse and actually had packed his cards into her purse. However, just as she began to dig into her purse to search for his cards, her thoughts were interrupted by Takuya, her youngest brother. She pulled her hand out of her purse and turned to face him.
"Hey."
She wasn't particularly pleased to see him, considering she had just wanted to play with Hikaru for now, but at the same time, she cared about him as well, and wasn't going to shoo him away or anything of the sort like that.

”Nothin’...” the boy quietly responded as his older brother’s hand messed his hair up further than it already had been. If that was even possible. And he didn’t know what else to add to his response, he hadn’t been and currently wasn’t really doing anything, nothing interesting at least. He wished that he could be out doing something fun, but even as his heart longed for a friend, the boy feared that he would never have any luck in finding one. There were his siblings, sure, but they weren’t always around... and they were older so they liked different things than him. Not to mention he figured they probably didn’t like him very much, though he didn’t know why exactly he thought that about them, he just felt that it must be the truth.
Takuya looked upward at his brother and then to his sister through curious eyes, hoping they weren’t planning on going inside already. He didn’t want to go back into the house... it was boring and stuff... “Well... what’re you guys doin’?” he blinked curiously, hoping they would allow him to tag along if they were going some place fun. If they were... and they said he could come with them... then he wouldn't even make a peep, honest.

"We're gonna go to a cafe and sneak some cake before dinner." Hikaru said as he leaned down and spoke in hushed sort of tone, as if he knew he was planning to do something rather mischievous. Of course, their father wouldn't like anything that they were doing but what he didn't know couldn't hurt them, right? That is if Takuya was as good at keeping secrets as the older two were. But seeing how he didn't speak much, it didn't really seem like he'd blab about anything. Standing back up to his full height, the blond simply smiled happily, having quite the surge of extra energy in his system.
Hikaru hardly had any time to spend with any of his siblings, even when he was at home. Either he was at school training with the Kendo Club, doing homework or performing odd jobs around the neighborhood. He did whatever he could find in order to stay away from home at all costs, but he made sure that his siblings were always taken care of. After all, they came first no matter what. The blood that ran through their veins were all the same, but that wasn't what connected them so closely. It was the experiences that they all shared, the upbringing they had which made them all cling to one another. He wasn't all that conceded, but he felt as though he was the main pillar holding everyone together. Whether or not that was true was a horse of another color.
"You wanna come? If give big brother a smile, I'll even carry you on my back." The boy grinned once more before poking his younger brother's forehead playfully. "How's that sound, guys? My treat."
