"Hrmm..."
Hikari was actually somewhat surprised and irritated that Hikaru had invited Takuya to join them, but she'd make the best of it anyway. She knew that it wouldn't be right for her to hog Hikaru to herself all of the time. All three of them were siblings, so they both needed to spend time with the little boy as well. Though, she did feel that Hikaru letting Takuya ride on his back was just a little bit too much. She wanted to ride his back! In any case, she'd keep her mouth shut for now. No need to stir up trouble.

Cake... At that one single word, the little boy’s mouth began to water. Sweets had to be probably the best thing ever created... ever...! It sounded fun... if only he could go with them then... wait... was he hearing Hikaru right? He... was actually inviting him to come along! It wasn’t often that Takuya got the chance to go anywhere aside from to school and back home, this was soooo exciting!
Lifting his hand up, the child rubbed his forehead where his older brother had poked it before looking up at him yet again. He couldn’t not smile if he wanted to, he was so happy right now. For Takuya, this tiny little thing was about the best thing that had happened to him in probably weeks, maybe even longer. “I can come? Really?!” he questioned ecstatically, looking as though he was ready to bounce up and down from the joy of it all.
However, there was one thing that he wanted to point out first, so he calmed down a tiny bit and then spoke up. “An’ just so ya know, I’m too big for piggy-back rides,” Takuya stated in a matter-of-fact tone of voice as he crossed his arms over his chest. Only their youngest sister was little enough for that sort of kid stuff now, at least that was how he felt about it.

Hikaru looked down at his little brother, rolling his eyes slightly. Since when did Takuya become this bratty? Or rather, since when has he become so full of himself? Either way, he didn't exactly understand what was going on until he thought about it for a second. It was pretty normal for kids not to want to be talked down to as if they were little, even if they truly were little. "Pfft. You still look like a little pipsqueak to me." The blond smirked slightly at what he had said, knowing that Takuya was just pretending to be all big and tough. Even though they were forced to grow up so young, he still had the demeanor of a normal kid.
"Hmmmm....I wouldn't say you're big kid until you're as tall as me." He stuck his tongue out at Takuya before ruffling the boy's hair once more, enjoying the company of his little brother. Though he was teasing Takuya, it was nothing more than how he showed affection for the boy. After all, wasn't this how normal siblings interacted?
"Alright guys, let's get going...I think my sugar is getting low..." He was starting to feel the effects of his condition by this point, but it was still manageable though. "That sound good to you?" Hikaru said as he smiled over at Hikari.

Hikari shrugged her shoulders. If they were going to get going, they may as well get going now. The longer they stayed around loitering, the greater chances there would be that their father would spot them and make them come inside. Granted, their dad wasn't bad all the time, or at least Hikari didn't think so, but she still preferred to stay away from him until she knew he was sober for sure.
"Buuuuuut... if Takuya doesn't want the piggy back ride, I'll surely take it!" Hikari said before quickly hopping onto Hikaru's back with her arms tightly around him. She surely wasn't going to pass off this opportunity for a little ride. She couldn't stop giggling at this. It would surely be fun.

”... Nuh uh...” he said quickly in response to the pipsqueak comment, though he didn’t believe his own retort himself. Even when it came to his own age group, Takuya appeared to be smaller than most of the other children, so who was he kidding. But still... sometimes he simply wanted to be treated like an older kid because... he was maturing after all, wasn’t he?
Either way, the young boy just looked up at his older brother with his expression now contorted into more of a frown. Hikaru was taaaaall. It’d be way too long before he grew to his height! No fair...
Hikari... Takuya just didn’t understand her. She was a lot bigger than he was but for some reason she wanted to ride on Hikaru’s back! How come? It was kind of weird. “Yeah, let’s go,” he said happily, his smile reappearing. And he would have followed up that last comment by heading in the direction of the café, buuut, he had no idea where it was, thus he waited for his big brother to lead the way.

He hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings for the most part, meaning he hadn't been expecting his twin sister to jump on his back. However, somehow he managed to stay on his feet, swaying slightly as he fought to keep his balance. Instinctively, he reached back to hold her legs so that they were both stable. "Hey, don't just jump on my back like that! We could have both fell." He didn't really understand why they didn't, but that really wasn't the issue at this point. Being upset wasn't really his type of thing, so he wasn't angry for the most part. If anything, he was more upset at the fact that she could have hurt herself in her attempt to be silly.
"Alright. Let's go." The place he had in mind was all that far which was a good thing considering that he was carrying Hikari. Not that she was heavy or anything, but he really didn't have that type of stamina for that kind of task. Then again, a thought came his head as his hands brushed up against her thighs. "Erm. Do you really think this a good idea? I mean...you're wearing a skirt, remember?" He said as he stopped in his tracks, finally connecting the dots.
The boy's face twisted up into a sort of scowl, except a bit less intense. "I don't think any of these perverts need a show. You need to be more mindful about these kinds of things, Kari-chan."

Well, Hikari certainly hadn't thought anything about the topic of which Hikaru had just brought up. Maybe that was the reason Hikaru hadn't offered to give her a piggy back ride on his own anyway, because he was afraid of how others would react. Well, in all honesty, how guys reacted didn't matter to her at all, so long as she was with Hikaru. Though, perhaps it was unnecessary to make things more complicated than they needed to be.
"Well... I try to be mindful," she said regretfully. She didn't want her brother thinking bad things about her. She wasn't that promiscuous, was she?
"Sorry..."

Takuya followed along, his shorter legs carrying him quickly just so that he could keep up with his brother. That was the case at least until Hikaru stopped unexpectedly, causing the younger boy to also halt his movements. “A show…?” he questioned, turning his head from side to side and looking around in order to try to figure out what he was even talking about. Nothing stood out though, the boy remained baffled.
“Where...?” he asked curiously, his attention now returning to his older brother who was now talking to Hikari about something. Something weird that in his young age he had no clue what those two were even referring to or talking about being ‘mindful’ of, or even what kind of animal a ‘pervert’ was. Anyway, Hikaru probably hadn’t even heard Takuya’s question, which was okay... he just wanted to get out of range of their house before something went wrong or... they changed their minds and said he had to go back.
Also, while he was already pondering so many questions, the younger sibling began to wonder what it was that Hikari was apologizing for. As far as he could see, she hadn’t done anything wrong... It made him feel as though he just didn’t understand either of them at all...!

"Hm. It's not that serious." Hikaru said calmly as he lowered himself a bit and released his grip on her thighs so she could get down off his back. He didn't mind giving her a piggyback ride, but he definitely didn't want to give any of the neighborhood kids a show. After all, that would just be embarrassing for both her and himself, something he definitely didn't want to be apart of. Maybe in the past, Hikari's obliviousness would have been seen as being cute, but considering the trouble it had gotten her into it was actually far from it. In other words, she needed him to watch out for her, otherwise she'd do silly things that could end her up in hot water.
"No need to apologize." All he could do was nervously smile while trying to think about some of the bad things that had happened recently. He needed a good distraction from all of that since it gave him a slight headache whenever he got lost in his thoughts about it all. Looking over at his brother, he raised an eyebrow. "Check back in a few years, runt. You'll understand by then." He chuckled before walking once more, though it didn't take them much longer to get to the cafe and soon it'd be within sight.

Though it would have been nice to have a ride, she supposed it would be better if she walked from here on out. Too bad none of them could drive. Having her brother to drive her around would be so nice, unfortunately, they both couldn't drive, and Hikaru would be able to drive at around the same time as her considering they were the exact same age. She sighed at the thought. Then again, walking wasn't that bad either.
She followed Hikaru, walking just a little bit behind him. But after a couple of steps, she dropped her purse, and out of it, all of hers and her brother's digimon cards scattered on the ground. She quickly dived down to pick them up before they were further scattered by the wind.
"Whoops!"
