Whenever anybody said that sentence or one similar to it to Takuya, he always hated it! What was that supposed to mean anyway? Jerks... Not to mention the fact that he didn’t appreciate being called a runt either.
“Hmph...” the boy crossed his arms over his chest stubbornly as his older sister dropped down to the ground in order to pick up the cards she had dropped. If the two of them weren’t keeping things from him, then sure, he’d help. But nope, Hikaru was too busy calling him names and... stuff...
Okay fine, so Takuya just wasn’t like that, he wanted to help. Kneeling down, the boy pounced onto one of the cards that was almost carried away by the wind and then proceeded to help with picking up the other ones that were all in a mess on the ground. “Whatcha’ doin’ with all these cards in your purse anyway? Were you guys gonna play? Oh, I wanna digi-battle too!”

"Eh? You carry those around all the time?" Hikaru raised his eyebrow as he watched as his two siblings scramble to pick up the cards while he just stood there and remained relatively calm. To be honest, he only played the game because of his younger siblings, but Hikari seemed to generally be interested in the game. Thinking about it for a moment, he thought they were a bit old to actually like the game. But maybe that was just him being a spoil sport or something along those lines.
After watching for a second, he bent down and helped up some of the cards as well. It would be a shame if someone would start crying over dropped cards. "There are a lot of cards. Wait...are some of these m-" Suddenly a dog shot across the streets, plowing into Hikaru which caused him to lose balance. The first thing he could think of was to grab something, maybe not consciously but instinctively. Hikaru more or less would attempt to grab onto her as he fell, most likely dragging her down if she couldn't escape.

((-.-... a dog?... really? wtf shuu.)) Hikari was unable to maintain her balance and soon fell onto her back on top of Hikaru, dropping the cards she had just picked up once again. A large majority of the cards that she had picked up had fallen into the puddle next to them, while a small few of them landed on the dry sidewalk.
"Ow..."

That thing... it definitely was not a dog...! At first, Takuya thought it was nothing more than a stray dog as well, but as he watched his brother and sister topple over, he realized that he was entirely wrong. The cards he had gathered fell from his hands and scattered on the ground once again as the boy found himself paralyzed with fear. With wide eyes he stared at the lion-like creature, a... a digimon, just standing there in the middle of the road. The name of the digimon escaped him for the moment because he was too scared to think, but that creature was definitely one of them... “D—Digimo—ahh...!”
Gulping, the young boy managed to move his muscles enough to be able to take one step backward, continuing to stare with frightened eyes at the Leormon. It wasn’t making any attempts to get closer but Takuya was still scared regardless. “H—Hikaru...?” he tried to get his brother’s attention while refraining from taking his eyes off the digimon. If anyone could protect them from this creature... it was Hikaru, wasn’t it...?
Leormon’s eyes were filled more with curiosity, though, than anything remotely threatening. He blinked and then finally began to take a few steps back toward the three of them, slowly, but it was clear that he was heading over toward Takuya. However, all that the child could do was cover his eyes with his hands and hope that it would just go away, he was shaking in fear he was so frightened. Even as Leormon stood right in front of the boy and sat down in front of him to get a better look of him, Takuya remained still with his hands over his eyes, only hoping that the creature would leave without hurting any of them.

"Stupid dog..." He said as he came back to reality, still somewhat dazed from his little fall. It seems like in his plight, he had dragged down his beloved sister with him, something that wasn't planned at all. However, it wasn't that big of a deal considering she didn't weigh all that much and that he had a rather tough body despite looking somewhat scrawny. Thank god for sports, otherwise he might have really hurt himself badly. "You alright, Kari-chan?" One thing about concrete was that it didn't really provide a soft landing for anyone who was unlucky to fall upon it.
"What is it Ta-kun?" He sat there for a moment as he turned his head in the smaller boy's direction, prompting his mouth to gape wide open as he stared at the small lion-like digimon. He couldn't say anything, mostly because none of this could be real, it was impossible. However, he couldn't deny that he was looking at what he thought to be a Leormon. After all, he had one in his own deck since he got it in the last booster pack he bought. "K-K-Kari-chan..." He poked her back lightly, hopefully to get her attention.
"Please tell me you see that too."
