Veemon quickly moved to side, barely avoiding the Ogremon's left arm. But now he was close enough to the girl to grab her arm and pull her down the pathway. He was trying to buy them more time, for her was sure that the digimon would quickly come after them.

"What exactly is this thing?!"

Brittany quickly showed the device towards the blue dragon as he pulled her after him while he made them run. The creature took one glance at it and chuckled, he almost seemed surprised for a second, but his grin seemed to cover that expression completely.

"Its a digi-vice! I always thought they were just rumors from other digimon, but they really are real!"
The teen looked at the monster with a blank expression, stopping their run as she stood firmly in place.

"What are you talking about!? Whats a digi-vice? What are digimon?"

Veemon looked at her with a frown as he shook his head. This human really did not know when and where it was right to ask questions. Seriously, there was a large, upset Ogre not far behind them and she wanted to know all this right now?!

"Can we maybe talk about this later!? We still have a rather upset Ogremon to worry about..."

As the Veemon pointed his finger back towards the way they just came, Brittany mimiced his upset expression with her own.

"Veemon! I want to know what the heck is going on!? Now!!"

Kaizer and Phascomon were out like any other time of the day. They disagreed over should they get ice cream or not. As usual Phascomon won. Which could be told by the smile on his face as he laid on Kai's shoulder.

They were walking down town when they heard noise from a place not to far from them. Kai was on the run in a matter of seconds. To their surprise a girl and a veemon seemed to be running from a Orgemon. "Phascomon we have to help them."

He shook his head to agree. He flew off his shoulder. " Uh Kai he's a champion so I might need a little bit of help here. If you catch my drift." They ran infront of the girl and Veemon. "Hey could you guys use some help here or what?"

"Digi-modify." He spun the card around before slashing it through his D-arc. Phascomon's arm turned into a cannon once the card was used. "Gorilla cannon" He lifted his cannon up with his other arm before aiming the shot straight into Orgemon's chest.

Ogremon was irritated, no doubt about it. Once again, they had managed to dodge his attack. And now, something most interesting had happened. It seemed she had somehow gotten her hands on a Digivice. It was spectacular, like nothing he had ever seen before. Maybe there was something to this human power that he hadn't thought about before, or maybe he was just overthinking this. This was a fight right now, he couldn't stop to think. He had to chase after them, as he did.

"Blaaargh! You're not getting away from me! Come back here!"

It was then that he noticed another partnership approaching, a human and a tamer. Then, without much warning, they fired a large blast at them. Did they not even have enough honor to say they were joining the fight? He quickly crossed his arms over his body and held them out to defend himself, but the blast sent him flying onto his back, but he quickly stood up again. There was no time to stay down.

"More of you?! It's not right to fight two on one! It's against the rules of honor!"

Brittany continued to glare towards Veemon as she then turned towards the direction of Ogremon's incoming footsteps. This wasn't good, not at all. If he got his hands on either of them, it would be over before she could even think of anything else. But then, a boy and a strange creature appeared infront of them.

"Help...um...yeaaaaa"

This request, as simple as it was, wasn't exactly registering in her mind at the moment. With so much happening around her, this random appearance of this other teen was alittle much. But what could she say against it, especially since he already went along and sent his little bear like pet after the jerk.

But what really amazed her, was the fact that with a simple swipe of a card, this...digimon was able to make a cannon appear upon his wrist.

"How did you do that?"

Brittany quickly turned her attention towards her second hero of the day, blinking for a moment as she waited for him to answer. Though Veemon wasn't all that impressed, in fact, he was almost insulted by the thought that this was so impressive.

"Ha! I could have handled him...I was just working him over little by little.."

"Howabout we forget about honor and remember Gorilla cannon." He fired it one more time before it disappeared off of his arm The shot would hopefully finish the orgemon off if not. So what Kai had another trick up his sleeve. Yet the truth was he only wanted Orgemon's data.

Phascomon could careless about helping others. Yet Kaizer was always looking to helps others even though nobody helped him. Which really confused him sometimes. He knew kai was a nice guy but this was ludacris. He was sure to die doing something like that one day.

"I am guessing you just met your partner here. Well cards can power up digimon. So they can fight digimon who are higher level like this Orgemon here." What Kaizer was really wondering was why the Veemon was just talking instead of fighting against this champion level digimon.

Ogremon was still recouperating from the last blast. He had taken a heavy hit that he hadn't even been expecting. It was making him think that there was more to the strength of the tamers that met the eye. They were strong. Maybe he could have taken on one of them, but two was simply too much. He stood still... It was simply too much, and he was much too tired.

A second blast was fired and it began to fly toward him. He couldn't move or get out of the way. It just flew toward him. The blast from gorillamon's cannon would hit him without a doubt, but what could he do? The blast came, hitting him head on.

"Noooooo!! You cursed humans! You'll all die to! You have no idea what's to come!"

Ogremon's data began to disperse as Ogremon slowly dissolved, until his bits and pieces were all scattered in the air and Ogremon was no more.

Brittany looked towards the teen with a confused glance. Did he just say partner? As in Veemon being with him? He was seriously mistaken, that wasn't possible. But her attention was quickly taken away from that comment, to the destruction of Ogremon before them.

Veemon noticed this as well, jumping to Brittany's side as they watched the monster turn into data in a matter of moments.

"Hmph! Serves you right!! Nah!!"

While Brittany stuck her tongue out towards the area where the creature once stood, she quickly realized that Veemon was doing the exact same expression. Blinking at this monster, the girl then looked towards Kaizer and smiled towards him.

"Thank you...I was alittle worried that I wouldn't live through that..."

Phascomon absorbed the data after his shot. He then flew back onto Kai's shoulder. "Well I guess your going to want someone to explain this to you. It's pretty simple actually. Digimon are digital creatures with certain powers. From what Phascomon has told me they are from their own world. Yet they seem to emerge here if they are wild or have tamers. I'm guessingh he's your partner. yes?

Phascomon felt stronger after absorbing the data from Orgemon. "So how long have you been here?" Phascomon was obviously talking to the Veemon. He avoided conversation with people most of the time because they always called him ugly.

He really didn't like being called such names. He had a huge dislike for it. Kai hoped that the girl didn't ask a question about his eyes. Because he didn't want to answer questions about his multicolored eyes or hair today. He was to happy about Phascomon's second win against a opposing digimon.

Brittany tried to get all this, but even after all this, she wasn't sure if she would ever get over the fact that there were people who actually walked around with monsters on their shoulders. Not only that, but the question still remained about Veemon, was he her partner, like this other digimon was his?

"Um........ I have no idea..."

Veemon looked up at her and then frowned as he crossed his arms over his chest. He was alittle annoyed by the fact that she didn't know if she was his tamer, especially after all he had done to help her. Though if you thought about it, he wasn't even sure about this partner thing either.

Thinking about it for a bit, his train of thought was derailed by the sound of Phascomon voice. Veemon looked towards the digimon and smirked as he scratched the back of his head.

"Probably a day, though I think my entrance inside a pool wasn't exactly a great start for me..."

"Well theirs a easy way to find out. If you have a D-arc you can turn on the scan and it would look for your digimon. Bet yah it would stop on veemon."


Kai couldn't help but think about when he met Phascomon. It was just yesterday pretty much. They stayed up about all night learning about each other. They had a lot in common. Yet in other things they where exact opposite.

Phascomon laughed a little when Veemon said he made his entrance in a pool "Well Compared to me your lucky. My entrance was completely unnoticed by me. I woke up in a garbage can. Thank the digi gods it wasn't trash day."
