Katou Residence

Located in the area of Shibuya, there is a small tarven which is owned by the Katou family. Just above it is where Jeri and her family live...

Jeri sat within her room, laying atop her bed with a calm expression on her face. Her D-Arc resting on her chest, the girl's eyes remained gazing up towards her ceiling, her thoughts floating among them. So many had happened today, some things she didn't even understand, and others that made her want to know more...

One thing being the return of digimon to the real world. What could have caused this instant return after two years of no contact? Not only that, but why were new tamers, like Luna, begining to appear as well? Then lastly, where were Takato, Henry, and Rika? Did they know about this? For that matter, did Kenta Kazu, and Ryo have any knowledge of what was happening?

Jeri was starting to wonder if maybe she was the only one who had no idea of any of this. Though that wouldn't be too much of a surprise. After all, it wasn't as if she had any reason to really run into a digimon anymore...

Her eyes blinked, for a moment she thought she saw a light flicker from the yellow device, causing her to rise up to a sitting position on the bed. Crossing her legs, the teen picked up the digi-vice and examined it for a moment. It was strange, this was the second time she had seen something emit light from its cracked screen, but why would it do that? Its then that her door opens,causing her to quickly place the device under her pillow.

"Jeri.....Jeri..."

A small voice emerges from the door as a small boy wanders into her room. Jeri sighs with relief, its only Masahiko, her little brother. Though she wonders why he's up and about, it is pretty late after all.

"Masahiko...Why are you still up?"

The girl smiles as she watches the boy scramble up onto her bed, a tired look on his face as he rubs his eye with his fist.

"The people downstairs are too loud...I can't sleep..."

His tone gives the assumption that he's somewhat annoyed by this, but that is the price that comes from living above a bar. Jeri had thought that he would have become acustomed to this as she had, but then again, he was just starting to sleep in a bed of his own now anyway.

"What are you doing Jeri?"

"Well...I was actually just thinking..."

"About what?"

"Digimon...."

"I thought dad didn't want us talking about digimon anymore?"

It was true, after the events with the D-Reaper, Jeri's father had pretty much forbid all things digimon from entering the house, he had even collected all of Jeri's cards. Thankfully, even in her sadness, she had managed to hold onto her D-Arc and a few of her cards. Not that she would need them for anything, she didn't even play the card game anymore, nor did she have a digimon to help with them...

"I know...But I couldn't help it..."

Jeri's smile seemed to have a magnet effect, causing the small child to giggle as he smiled as well.

"Its ok...I think about digimon too!"

"Really?"

"Um huh! Especially Calumon! Do you think he'll come back and play someday?"

"Hmmm...Maybe...but I don't know if he'll be able to come here..."

"Awww. But maybe dad will like digimon again by then..."

Jeri smiled faded somewhat...She wasn't so sure about that...Especially when it came to how stubborn her father was. Her was strict man, almost to the point where she believed that all he cared about was really her grades and her acting like a respectable being. But, she also learned that he really did love her and this new family, and so did she for that matter...Now that she felt that she belonged to it.

"Maybe...But I think you should go to bed before mom sees you...Come on.."

Letting her feet touch the cool wood floor, Jeri gently took Masahiko hand and slowly walked him through her bedroom door. As they left the room, she didn't see her D-Arc flash once more, this time showing a blurred screen. Within the blur was a shadow, one that appeared to be coming closer and closer. Though it quickly disappeared as the screen turned blank once more...

Perris had been sitting at his grandfathers house not doing anything in particular. That is until his little sister begged him to play Digimon with her. Perris had only played the card game once. He didn't really remember the rules that well.....but if it was for his little sister, why not try play it again.

As he was playing the game he fumbled his cards as the phone rang. After he finished the conversation he had came back to find a blue card in his hand. Perris sister looked at him very imapatiently as he fumbled through his cards not really seeing a suitable one.....He found none. He gave a sigh and looked at the blue card in his hand.

Perris grabbed the blue card and gave it a swipe in his scanner. Just as he did that the blue card disappered and his scanner started to change form. It became a werid shape....If anything it looked like a digivice from the show. He gave a chuckle at the idea of him acutally obtaining a digivice. Just as he began to chuckle his digivice let out a ciciler map with an arrow point towards the inner part of the residential district.

Could it be true? Could he really have obtained a digivice?! He quickly gave a small sheepish smile to his sister and said, "Reminance, Looks like I lost this time.....Now you should go to sleep. It's pretty late."

"But Perris, you didn't loss yet and wait is that in your hand." said Perris' sister Reminance.

"Just go to be Reminance and don't worry about what I have."

"Whatever bro. I'm tired anyway. Night~." said Reminance as she finally left her brother alone.

Perris looked up the stairs of house to make sure that Reminance truely had went upstairs to go to sleep. He nodded when he was sure that she was sleep he ran back in the room and grabbed the first three cards he could find. It seemed like his digivice had some scanner on it. There had to be a reason for that....

Perris wrote a note to his grandfather telling him that he went out to go get some bread for breakfeast tommorrow and ran out the door. He looked at his digivice for the first time acutally looking at it. It had a black rim, buttons and straps. It also was a dark gray color....it was totally diffrent the digivice that he had seen on tv. Just as that thought finished, the map came back up with the arrow. He gave a nod and said, "Right! Lets find out what this is all about."

Perris followed the arrow until he found himself infront of an alley with a fog in it. This fog was diffrent then the ususal fog though. It was more concentrated and seemed to be very scary. He begun to turn around until his digivice arrow pointed right into the fog. He looked at the fog.....what ever his digivice was picking up, it was in there. He gave a sigh and put his hands in his pockets. In his pockets he felt his tinted glasses. He took the out of pocket and looked at them. He gave a sigh and took a look around him. It seems just across from the alley was the Katou residence. Okay, now that he knew where he was.....he was ready to meet his destiny. He put on his tinted glassess and walked into the fog awaiting to find his destiny.

It was pretty later, maybe she should have considered doing the same thing. After all, she still had to present her newly found flower to class as her natural object. Looking at the small flower that rested by her window, Jeri walked towards it to make sure it had enough water to last for the night. That was when she saw him.

It was alittle odd, the figure appeared to be that of a teenager, yet why was he roaming around this late at night? Then again, most of the older kids did this all the time, it was like a normal routine to be out so late. Yet, this boy seemed to be following something. Doing her best to focus her vision towards the glowing object in her hand, she gasped as she realized what it was.

"A digi-vice? So hes another one of the new tamers too?"

This would have been the second today, just how many were popping up in Japan? For that matter, where exactly was he going? As the girl continued to watch from her window, she realized that he was moving towards the alley by her house. Quickly putting on her brown jacket, the girl moved quickly from her room and then slowly made her way down the stairs.

The tarvern was more lively than she had thought. Perhaps sneaking out wouldn't be so hard. Looking around for signs of her father and step-mom, Jeri made her way towards the door, putting on her shoes and then walking out the door. If her parents asked where she was, she'd just say that she went outside to get some air, would still get in trouble, but alot better than saying she was following a stranger into an alley.

Perris entered the fog to see a small kid in the middle with tears in their eyes. Perris walked closer towards the kid to get ready to comfort the kid. He then noticed that the kid was wearing a kendo mask? Why would a kid this young be wearing a kendo mask? At closer examnation he saw that it had a tail to?! Perris at first backed away and then shook his head. Whatever this person was need help.

Perris walked closer to the kid with a smile. When he was a few feet away from it, his digivice said, "Kotemon, The Reptile Digimon, Data type." Perris looked at his digivice then Kotemon. So the kid was actually a digimon. Perris put his hand on Kotemon shoulder and felt Kotemon jump a little.

Kotemon looked up at the boy with her golden eyes. She gave a sniff and stood up. She looked up and said, "A-Are you my tamer?"

Perris looked down at Kotemon and gave a soft smile. So Kotemon was a girl. He could easily tell by her soft, melody voice. Perris nodded and said, "It would look like I am. My name is Perris."

Kotemon gave a slight nod and looked out towards the fog ahead of her. She heard someone coming.....She didn't know who it was, but she was ready to protect her new tamer. She looked back at Perris and said, "T-Theres s-someone coming...."

Perris looked out the same way as Kotemon and stood ready to grab Kotemon and make a mad dash. Perris wouldn't let anyone hurt his new partner Kotemon. He would swear to protect her no matter what. He looked at his digivice and the scanner on the side. He then got the three cards out of his pocket....Two of them would easily help the escape....

Jeri was starting to wonder if this was a good idea or not. At the moment, she was tracking a stranger, at night, into an alley. Not one of her better ideas, but then, most of her ideas were never truly thought out. It was more like instinct, she felt as if this person was really a tamer, and if he was, then maybe he would feel alittle better knowing that their were others out there just like him.

The shadow seemed to have disappeared, or maybe he had stopped moving completely, she couldn't tell in all honesty, it was so dark. But then she saw a small light, it appeared to be coming from not too far away. So the girl continued down the pathway of the dark alley.

"Um...Hello?"

Her face looked around, slowly scanning the area for any sign of the boy, or of anything for that matter. A slightly nervous expression lingered over her face, she wasn't sure if this person...or digimon might attack her or even worse, if she would be confronted by a more horrible threat.

"I...I saw you from out my window...You have a digi-vice right?"

Though Jeri wasn't sure if her talking was helping, it did make her feel alittle better. After all, if she recieved no reply that meant that maybe she had just seen the whole thing, and could just go back home.

Perris was gathering his thoughts as the few seconds of quiteness seemed to last for every. In these few seconds, he had got a Digimon partner and at the same time, he might already have to fight....A fight he could lose Kotemon in. He couldn't allow that....He just couldn't.

He's muscle relaxed a little when he heard her voice and he gave a sigh. But then he got ready again. He had just thought Kotemon was a regular human child, but she was infact a digimon....This could be a digimon's voice as well.

Ah, so she saw him from her outside her window....but still, she shouldn't be allowed to see Kotemon.....Wait. She knows what a digivice is. Perris walked towards the voice to see Jeri. It seemed like he was a bit taller then her. He gave a smile and said, "Ello, my name is Perris. This is my partner digimon Kotemon." Kotemon looked at her and looked back down and gave a nod to Jeri.

Perris gave a smile to Kotemon and looekd back at Jeri and said, "So you know about digimon? Does that mean your a tamer?"

Kotemon was slightly intrested in this human girl. She knew about the D-arc. That most mean that she was a tamer right? Kotemon looked up with her big golden eyes wondering what the next words from the human would be.

As Jeri came closer, she soon realized that she had been right. It was a tamer she had been following, but he also appeared to already have found his partner. So maybe she really didn't have much to worry about after all. Perhaps the new tamers could be united with their digimon without total chaos happening, but then, she couldn't help but want to see their digimon as well.

Smiling, the girl knelt down on her knees and looked at Kotemon with a interested expression as she answered. Though her facial expression didn't show her, her tone would obviously give away her feelings on the answer to the question.

"No...Not anymore..."

Jeri continued to look towards the kendo styled digimon before standing back up to look towards Perris. She then quickly gasped as she forgot to introduce herself.

"Oh! Sorry! Im Jeri Katou!"

Quickly bowing, the girl then returned to her regular standing position, wiping the dirt from her knees with the sleeves of her jacket. While doing so, she apologize for following them.

"When I saw you from outside my window, I thought that you might be lost or looking for your partner. But it looks like you found her without my help..."

Perris gave a soft smile towards the girl as she knelt down infront of Kotemon. But his smile quickly disappered when he heawrd the small hint of depression in her voice and the fake smile that she wore along with it. So something had happened to her digiimon partner then....or was it something that she had did? Whatever the cause, she clearly wasn't over it. He would leave the subject alone. He didn't want to reopen any old wounds.

Perris chuckled and a nod when she introduced herself to him. He gave a small bow as well and said, "My name is Perris Thomas. You can just call me Perris." He then stood straghit up before countineing, "No prob Katou-san, I'm sure I wouldv'e done the same thing in your postion." Kotemon stood there not really getting what was going on....but knew that they were introduceing themselves....So, maybe she should do the same?

Kotemon walked up to Jeri and tugged her jacket and said, "M-My name is K-Kotemon.....N-Nice to meet your Acquaintance ."

Jeri looked down towards Kotemon and gave her a gently pat on the head as she smiled kindly towards her. She was so sweet, even though her appearence made her almost somewhat rough looking. But she knew better than to judge others based on appearance alone. You had to always consider what they were like on the inside as well, especially when it came to the innocent ones..like herself...

"So Perris and Kotemon, what are you guys doing roaming around so late? Its pretty dangous..."

Jeri looked towards Perris with a calm expression, though her eyes showed somewhat concern for them. They looked as though they were still new to being a team, which would make them a perfect target for a rogue digimon. Though hopefully, they would do alot better than she did...
