Katou Residence

Perris smiled as Jeri gave Kotemon a pat on the head. She was such a nice person from what he could see. After all, Kotemon wasn't a Terriormon. But he still loved Kotemon anyway, after all, they were partners.

Perris tilted his head a little as she asked them why they were out. Perris looked down at Kotemon who happened to look at him at the same time. Perris then turned to Jeri and said, "Well, Katou-san, Me and Kotemon just met today....right here." Perris gave a small chuckle at the fact that him and Kotemon had become fast friends. He closed his eyes for a second before looking up to the stars.

Kotemon on the other hand gave a small giggle when Jeri asked them what they were doing and nodded her head as Perris explained. She then said, "I-I just bio-emerged a f-few seconds ago..." Kotemon looked down to the ground looking up once or twice trying to avoid Jeri's eyes. She was shy, she couldn't help her nature.

That really surprised her, Jeri had actually thought that they had been together for awhile, like how Diana and Luna. But they had just met today,which met that portals were just randomly appearing again. So this meant that, there would be no way to actually track these things, at least not without a digimon to guide you.

Jeri soon returned her gaze towards Kotemon as she shy looked towards the ground, avoiding eye contact. The young teen then knelt down to her level once more.

"It must have been really scary, being by yourself out here...But now you have Perris to take care of you. Plus, he seems like a good guy, so your in really good hands..."

Perris contuined to look up at the sky above himself and the two girls next to him. The sky was so beautiful at night. He loved how the black and blue of the night combined to make one such lovely color. The moon also complmented the whole beauty thing to. He gave a smile before looking down at Kotemon and Jeri.

As Perris heard Jeri's words he blushed for some reason. He could feel his cheeks warming up, but why? Perris looked at Jeri and said, "Uummm....thanks Katou-san.....Oh, umm...can i call you Jeri-san?" He looked away embrassed, this was the first time he asked a girl if he could call her by her first name at all.

Kotemon gave a nod at Jeri and said, "T-Thanks for being so k-kind Katou-san..." kotemon was smiling under her mask. But no one could tell really, other than the happy air around her.

Jeri nodded towards Perris as she then smiled at Kotemon. She really think that she was doing anything special, it was just in her nature to be kind. That was something that would never change about her, even with so much going on within her life.

"Oh its nothing...really..."

Her tone was gently as she looked towards Perris with the same smile as she prepared to leave. It was after all, pretty late and her father would be likely to call for her at anytime. If he were to find that she wasn't in her room, he would worry himself silly, and be highly upset with her for walking out at such a late hour.

"I better go home. Its really late and I don't want to get in trouble..."

Perris nodded, it seemed like it was okay for him to call Jeri, Jeri-san rather than Katou-san. It was a very fruitfull night it seemed. He found a partner digimon, he made friends with Ka-, Jeri-san and he knew that they were other people who truely knew abou the digimon being real.

Perris nodded at Jeri and said, "Okay, Jeri-san, I'll walk you there...After all, I'm gonna pass your house while getting out of this alley anyway."

Kotemon nodded as she looked up Jeri and said, "Y-Yeah Katou-san....It wouldn't be a b-bother...."

Jeri shook her head as she continued to smile at them. While it wouldn't be a bother, she would rather walk alone. There were some thing she wanted to think about, and she didn't want to be the interuption for the two of them getting to know one another.

"No no...I'll be fine. Its not far away. Besides, you two have to get to know each other..."

The girl then quickly skipped forwards, getting some distance between herself and the new team before her.

"But I will see you again! Good night!"

With that, Jeri left the alley and began her walk home.

Perris gave a nod to Jeri understanding that she wanted to leave the two new partners alone. He gave a chuckle and looked down at Kotemon. It was his new partner and with her, he knew he would evolve into a new kind of person. He looked at Kotemon and said, "Kotemon, ready to go to your new home?"

Kotemon gave a soft smile (not that anyone could tell) and said, "O-of coure Perris....L-lets go..." They then walked out of the alley heading in the opposite direction of Jeri....How strange, he thought the Katou lived the same was as him, whatever....

-Later that night...

Jeri slowly opened the door to the tarven, prepared for the worst. After all, she had left home without a word, and was now returning early the next day. What would she tell them, how could she explain all the events that had occured without causing her father and step-mother grief? That would be impossible. But as she entered, she saw that the lights were off. There was no one waiting for her at the door, no one on the phone with the police, nothing...only silence...

The red haired child scaned every corner of the bar, searching for one or both of her parents faces, yet none could be seen. What was happening here? Had they really gone to bed without checking on her and her brother? Slowly Jeri climbed the stairs to the upper part of the building, preparing to find them within her room. Yet when she opened her door, everything was as it was when she left. Her bed was still made, her small flower was resting by her window, and her jacket was hanging over her chair.

"Wait...."

Jeri quickly remembered that she had taken her jacket with her, and had lost it during her assault with Sangloupmon. But, it was hanging on the back of her chair? Slowly approaching her desk, she blinked as she looked around for anything that was out of the oridnary, to find that everything was fine.

"This has been a really weird day..."

"Your telling me..."

That voice, where did that voice come from? Jeri had almost jumped out of her socks when she heard it come from behind her, quickly turning to see a small puppy sitting on top of her bed, grinning as it sat there.

"Hi Jeri! I was wondering when you'd get home. Don't worry though, I covered for you. You're folks though you were fast asleep..."

Jeri slowly took another step towards the digimon, a blank expression remaining as she nodded towards the creature. She knew what it was, it was Salamon, the rookie form of Gatomon. But, what was it doing in her room? Was it possible....

"Your...Are you the same digimon that was..."

Salamon nodded quickly as she then jumped onto her desk, slowly walking along its surface as she spoke.

"Yup! Though I was a Gatomon then, thanks to your card. But I managed to use the last of its energy to climb through your window and get inside. Would be hard to do so in this form, don't you think?"

Jeri giggled as she agreed that it would be almost impossible for the small puppy to climb up here as she was now. But, that still didn't answer her question as to why she was here...

"But...why are you here?"

"What do you mean? Im your partner silly! You called me!!"

Jeri slowly sat on her bed, trying to remember when she had said something like that. Yet all she could remember was wishing that Leomon was there...But, this obviously wasn't Leomon.

"I didn't say that..."

"Maybe not in the way you think you did...But believe me...You did..."

This Salamon was alittle confusing, yet she somewhat understood where she was going with this...somewhat. But, could she really be a tamer again? What if something happened to Salamon, what if Jeri froze again? What if she got them both killed?

"I....I don't know if I can..."

Salamon then frowned as she shook her head. The digimon then hopped from the desk to the floor, walking up to the side of the bed before struggling to get back ontop of its surface again.

"Look...I know you're scared, but know that you can do this. You've done it before! Besides, Im not going anywhere! I've been waiting a long time to meet you Jeri! So you might as well get used to me being around..."

Jeri held a shocked expression as the creature then yawned as she walked into the girl's lap.

"So Im...not taking no for an...an..swer.."

She was asleep, leaving Jeri with a scared look in her eyes. How would she be able to do this? Could she do this?...Was this destiny at work again?

"I....I can at least try....right?"
