"Takato...."

Jeri then looked up at the boy once again, staring into his eyes as her face remained a shade of red upon her cheeks. She felt like she should say something, something she had wanted to say for so long. But, she couldn't get herself to speak.

"I...I want to say something, but...Im..."

The girl looked down towards the floor, sighing as she tried to work the words out within her mind.

"Takato...I.."

It was then that the bell began to ring, signaling that lunch was officially over. While it startled Jeri for a second, she quickly regained her composure as she smiled towards Takato.

"Never mind..."

Takato blush grew into a deeper shade as Jeri looked at him with her gentle eyes again. She had to tell him say something...Could it be? Could it actually be what he was thinking? Did she like him?! He watched and listened.

With every pressing second his face grew redder with Jeri trying to tell him something. Just when she was about to say something, the bell rang Takato face turned back to normal and gave a sigh when she said nevermind. He returned the smile back at Jeri and said, "Remember, I'll take Salamon from you after school. See ya." soad Takato walking down the hallway at a slow pace deep in thought.

The girl nodded, waving towards the boy as he made his way down the hall. But once she'd seen that he was far enough away, Jeri leaned her back against her locker, holding her clothes close to her chest.

That was close, she could have said something that might ruin their friendship forever. After all, how could she be sure that the two of them could even be together? Especially, if she couldn't even get up the courage to express her feelings towards him.

Looking down towards her shoes, she smiled to herself as she released a sigh from her lips.

"Maybe....one day..."
