Hanging out(Darkness)

Brittany smiled, placing her hands on her hips as she leaned towards him. She was looking at him directly, her smile now turning into a sarcastic grin.

"Oh...So this is a date..."

The girl then turned her back towards him, giggling as she looked towards the ceiling of the building.

"Because I remember someone saying it was just hanging out..."

“W-Well … it’s just that I like you… wait I don’t… well I do but I don’t want to scare you off… Crap.” He was hopeless when it came to this so before he said something he didn’t mean he took a deep breath and just decided to be fore word about it. “Look I really like you. You’re a very special girl I want to get to know you better so we can have a relationship.” he said it all straight forward like he wanted but after the word relationship his face turned beet red. He was afraid he had been to forward and now she wouldn’t have any interest in him, it had happened before. He thanked god he didn’t say anymore or the word girlfriend would have popped up for sure and then he would have had a panic attack over saying it. “S-So is it okay to call this a date?” he asked

"Hmmm"

A thought filled expression came over her face, followed by a small smile as she turned to face him. Brittany couldn't help but laugh softly to herself, she didn't think he liked her that much. In fact, she had thought that he wasn't really even that interested in her at all.

"Wow, and here I was being nervous..."

With that thought, the girl walked passed him, standing at his side,while looking in the opposite direction. Then, with one swift movement, she gently kissed him on the cheek, grinning as she continued towards the exit.

"Ok...we can call it that.."

Chaos’s face turned red again as he lips touched his cheek. It was really the first time any girl had ever shown affection to him. He fallowed her out of the pizzeria As they walked he gently held her hand thinking he might as well try to since she took the initiative to kiss his cheek “So should we get Veemon or Goblimon first?” he asked. Then he began to think on it. That would mean stopping by each other’s houses so it was almost like asking who was going to meet who’s parents first. He blushed a little at that too but now his blushing had become less and less during his time with her. He really did like her, she was unlike any other girl he had meet before and it just felt so right when they were together. He wonder if that was what love was, when your happy to just be with someone no matter what you do.

Brittany felt Chaos's hand gently hold hers,causing her face to turn a small shade of red as she looked towards the ground with a smile. This was truly one of the greatest moments in her life, it was a shame that it would have to end soon.

Looking up as he asked her if they should retrieve their partners, the girl expression turned to that of a blank one. She wasn't completely sure about that idea, and for two good reasons. One being that she wasn't even supposed to be on a date right now. In fact, her mother believed that she was up at the library. The second would be that inviting Veemon and Goblimon now would possibly ruin this moment for them.

"Um...Maybe we could do it tommorrow? I mean, whats the rush right?"

Chaos smiled. “I guess your right it’s good enough that we have a treat for them we might as well wait till tomorrow before taking them for a walk.” Something told him her mother didn’t know she was out here with him so he just let the idea go. “Well if you have the time we could go catch a move or go to the mall.” he said. He was unsure of where to go since he rarely had a date that worked out. He wanted her to have some fun today as well as her get to know him better. “I’ll let you pick were we go this time, anywhere you want to go.” he said

Brittany was silent for a moment, thinking upon where they could go next. While the movies sounded tempting enough, she thought of something that would be even better. Taking a step infront of Chaos, the girl gently took the boy's other hand, and began pulling him in the direction of the forest.

"Lets go this way...I just thought of the perfect place we can go..."

Her grin remained imprinted on her face, looking away as she continued to gently pull the teen further and further into the woods. But soon enough, she stopped as they approached an old shrine, covered in vines and holding two large lions statues at each end.

Letting go of his hands, she quickly walked up the steps of the old building, leaning against one of the statues as she looked up towards the sky.

"I used to come here all the time with my dad when I was little. He always told me about the legend of the Stone Lions...Though I think he just made it up..."

A giggle escaped her lips as she then placed her hands behind her back as she continued to lean against the side of the stone lion.

"He used to say that...the lions, each with their own special trait, battled one another for the right to protect this very temple. But, in the end, they were turned to stone, due to their inability to work together..."

Chaos enjoyied holding her hand as they walked togeather. It was a deep and remmote part of the forest. Brittany lead him to a huge shrine with two large lions. He listened as Brittany told him about the legend surrounding the lions.

"That's somthing I hope to avoid. I want tamers to work to keep this place safe not fight over who gets to do it."

He said and then looked around at the shrine. It was an old place but could serve as a base if they needed it, but they could talk about that some other time.

"This place is amazing, I never even knew this was here. So we'll hang out here for a while huh?"

He said with a smile on his face still in awe over this new place she had shown him.

"Yup! You can even host your little tamer meetings here, since it hasn't been used in a long time. In fact, I think the monk that used to take care of it died a few years ago..."

Looking up towards the building behind her, she smiled as she continued to speak. While she wasn't sure about its electricity, or even its status inside, if they all worked together, she was positive they could make it work.

"It could use some cleaning up, but Im pretty sure we can pull it off. Think of it like alittle project, with lots of potienal..."

Brittany then grinned as she sat down on the steps, looking towards Chaos as she placed her hands on her lap. This had turned out alot better than she had thought. She hated that it was starting to get dark. Pretty soon, she'd have to make her way home.

Chaos nodded glad she had thought of the same thing he had. He had to admit though it would take some work to get the place up and running but he figured that if they really put some effort into it they could get the place to look as good as new. He looked up at the sky, it was getting a little late right now so the repairs to this place would have to wait till tomorrow. He sat down beside her and smiled softly.

“Mind if I walk you home, at least some of the way?” He asked as the date began to reach it’s end. It had been a very good date indeed and they had gotten to know each other pretty well. Chaos was tempted to ask her to be his girl friend but he still felt shy about finalizing it. Still Brittany was a very special girl to him and he wanted to spend much more time with her
