Hanging out(Darkness)

"Hmmm....I wonder if he's gonna stand me up?"

Brittany leaned against the back of a tree, her eyes closed as she waited for Chaos to arrive. After everything that had happened a few days ago, she was still unsure about her decision to meet up with him.

For one thing, they had only just met, and it was weird that he just instantly felt the need to hang out with her. Or, maybe she was just being paranoid about the whole thing. In fact, considering what she had planned for today, this was a pretty nice change of pace. Plus, it allowed her to wear something other than her school uniform.

Her light blue, one-piece skirt gently blew along with the breeze, making her regret her choice to not bring a jacket along with her. Looking up towards the sky, Brittany let her finger tips move slowly through her dark brown hair, smiling as she rubbed her yellow hair ribbon for luck.

"Maybe....I'll wait alittle longer..."

Chaos walked through the forest looking for the spot he and Brittany were going to meet at. He began to think he should have asked for more specific directions to the tree she was waiting for him at. He didn’t really do anything to change how he looked from the last time they met, but he did make sure that he washed up the night before and made sure there was nothing in his teeth with had made his Goblimon call him weird and that in turn led to Chaos hitting him on the head. He let out a sigh as he finally founder her leaning against a tree. She was dressed differently now and was in casual closes. He hoped he didn’t mess this up and he walked over to her. “Hey” he said with a small smile on his face. He walked over to the tree and rested against it as well. “I’m glad I found the place.” he said “Your dress looks nice” he said trying to think of something to say. He didn’t have much luck with girls and most girls though he was a delinquent or something.

Brittany giggled as she turned her head in the opposite direction, smiling as she heard his compliment about her clothes. She really didn't think it was of it as a big deal, after all, it was just something she picked out from her closet.

"He he...Thanks..."

Placing her hands behind her back, she turned to look at Chaos. She was actually starting to wonder if he was even going to come at all. In fact, she was sure that he wasn't, just shows you how confident she was.

"I was almost wondering if you were gonna make it..."

Chaos sighed. “Sorry that’s my fault I’m bad at reading directions.” he said rubbing the back of his head a little embarrassed. He laughed it off and stood next to her. “Well don’t worry I’m not the kind to stand people up.” he said looking into the sky through a clearing in the trees. It was a very lovely part of the forest they were in, the sun shone through the trees and made the place seem like a paradise. “So what do you want to do?” he asked her. “We could go to the movies, or I could buy you something to eat later.” He knew they were just hanging out together but part of it felt like it was a date. He turned his head to look at her once more and was awe struck. The sun was hitting her just right and she appeared to be the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in his life. A blush crepped over him as he looked into her eyes, and his heart began to beat a bit faster. He hoped he could some how get her to like him seeing as how he now seemed to have a crush on her. He was also still curious about the sadness he had seen in her, and hoped he could take that sadness from her.

The girl held a thoughtful expression, cupping one hand under her chin as she then stepped forwards, moving away from the tree. Brittany really didn't know what the say, after all, she really didn't care what they did. Her main focus was getting to know Chaos.

So, spinning around so that she was facing Chaos,she leaned herself and grinned as she answer his question.

"Well....You pick...It doesn't matter too much to me..."

The girl then placed her hands behind her back as she looked up at the sky once again, walking from one side of the boy, to the next.

Chaos thought to himself for a minute. He wanted to know her better and the movies wasn’t the best place to do that. “I’ll buy you lunch then, anything you want you can have.” he said smiling softly at her . In some ways this really could be a date due to the fact he was buying her lunch and stuff, but he didn’t care all he wanted was to know her better and he wanted to take away the pain he could see she was feeling. “So tell me about yourself.” he said in a soft voice as they began to walk to town to get something to eat. He liked the idea of talking to here hear where it was only them and they could say what they wanted without worrying what other people think.

Walking beside him, Brittany smiled as she looked at him. Where should she start? While this wasn't the first time she'd been on a date, she could never get used to the first dates.

"Wait....did I just think this was a date??"

Brittany smile disappeared for a brief moment as she began to wonder what exactly she should call this. Was it actually a date, or more along the lines of a meet and get to know. Maybe...No, she couldn't let something small like this concern her, she was here to have fun, not worry about the facts of this encounter.

Letting her smile return, she looked towards the ground as she began to talk.

"I'm a girl of many interests and many of them have nothing to do with what I really love..."

Chaos listened to her as she spoke. Not exactly the answer he was looking for but he was interested in what it was that she really loved to do. “What is it you love to do?” he asked her. He then thought it was only fair to tell her what he loved to do first. “Me, I love to play with my little brother as well and learning martial arts.” he said. He hoped that would break more ice and allow her to speak to him more freely about herself.

Neither of them seemed to have brought their Digimon with them so it would just be the two of them on this little date. Chaos didn’t care if it was a date or not that was what he was going to call it as. They weren’t in any big hurry to get there which was all the more time they had to get to know one another without the whole world being there as well. Every now and then he’d give a small blush whenever the sun hit her just right and she looked like and Angle.

"Oh! You have a little brother?"

Brittany grinned as she looked towards Chaos, interested in this. She had always wondered what it would be like to have a younger sibling, though maybe that was alittle childish. After all, her father was a pretty busy man, and her mother didn't look she wanted any more children.

"Well, I like Kendo....would that count as an interest?"

The young girl then giggled as she figured that she should be alittle more fair to the boy. While she was trying to milk information out of him, she had to at least help him do the same.

"I also like to read, play sports like soccer, and hang out with people I like...

Chaos chuckled he was glade to know she took Kendo it meant she wasn’t likely to lose her head in a fight. "So you like to play sports huh? That's good not many girls like sports for some reason, but I think girls can be quite good at them too.” It was a bit of flattery but it was also true. “I like reading too. It’s not something I do all the time but to me there’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book.”

She seemed to have an interest in his little brother. “Yeah Chase can be a handful some times but he’s really a good kid.” Chaos said as they crossed a small wooden bridge that ran above a small stream. “How about a small game to help us know each other better.” he said. “You ask me anything you want to know and I’ll ask you one okay?” he said. This way they both would get to know each other much better
