Hanging out(Darkness)

Brittany walked back to the table after filling her cup with Orange soda. Sitting across from Chaos, she smiled as he reminded her that it was still her turn to ask him something. She giggled as she placed her straw within the cup, taking a sip before speaking.

"Don't rush me...I have to make it count right?"

The girl smirked as she knew she was making him wait a long time, but she really did want to make each one of her questions count. So that would mean not just asking about something that was too obvious.

"Ok! How about this...What style of Martial arts do you do?"

Chaos smiled. There was something he could talk about that’s for sure. “I do Tai quan do.” he said “But I do know I bit of Wu Shu and Karate.” she said with a small smile. He loved to do the martial arts, not only because he liked fighting, but it was a great way to express himself. "I'm a black belt and train regularly to keep in shape and not get rusty." While they were on the topic of the arts he began to wonder about Brittany’s Kendo. “So Tell me about your Kendo training how good are you on that?” he asked before taking a small sip of his soda. He was enjoying being able to talk to some one like this. It was strange he felt like he was no longer alone even though he never really remember feeling alone.

Placing one hand under her head, she allowed the free one to swirl her straw within her as she thought about it. In all honesty, she wasn't as great as she could be. Especially if you counted her sessions this week, she'd had been so off focus that her Sensai had pretty much told her to go home.

"Im pretty decent...Im an first Kyu, yet this week hasn't exactly gone right. I haven't been able to focus like I need to be, and thats mostly due to all the things that have been happening as of late..."
The girl then looked away from her cup and out the window with a sad expression.

"Also, I've actually started to feel guilty about the whole thing...I shouldn't even be doing Kendo..."

Chaos listened to her as she spoke nodding his head to show he was paying attention. He raised an eyebrow when she said she felt guilty and shouldn’t be doing it. ”Why?” he asked. “It sounds like your really good when you apply yourself to it” he said with a soft smile to her. “Maybe if we talked about you would know what to do.” he said For a second when she was talking about how she shouldn’t be doing Kendo he saw the same sadness he had been trying to relive her of. “But if you don’t feel like talking about it then that’s okay too.” he said trying to seem more understanding of how she felt. Below his looks and his love of fighting, Chaos was actually a very sensitive guy when it came to talking to other people. He gave her another soft and caring smile to make her feel somewhat better.

Brittany looked towards Chaos, her expression blank as she wasn't sure why he would want to hear about her issues. She then smiled as she shook her head, she really didn't want to ruin this moment.

"No..Its ok. It doesn't matter anyway,besides...I don't want to ruin this with negative thoughts..."

The girl continued to smile as she took another sip from her straw, then gesturing her hand towards her friend across from her.

"Anyway...its your turn silly..."

Chaos could see it was something that was really bothering her, he decided he ask about it again later. Right now he just wanted her to have fun. He thought of a question that should be simple and not to hurtful to ask. But instead he asked the question that might have been the source of her sadness. “So what’s you family like, if you don’t mind me asking.” he said giving her a way out of the question if she didn’t want to talk about it. “I know my own family is a little crazy." he said but figured every teen in the world thought their own family was strange. He knew the pizza would be done soon and he wondered what they should do once they were done eating.

Brittany smiled as she once again placed her hands under her chin, looking directly towards Chaos while she answered his question. This wasn't really a hard thing to reply to, especially since she really didn't know much about her father's side of the family, only her grandmother there. But as for her mother, she would be there forever listing off uncles, aunts and cousins.

"Well, my dad is a traveling business executive for a major company, so I really don't get to see him much..."

A smile lingered as she thought about her father. He really was a great man, a proud one too. After all, he had to be if he was able to deal with her mother's father, who was a down right tyrant. But, she also knew that he had missed out on much of her childhood, keeping to his work in order to insure that the family was able to keep up with changing times.

"He's great...He gets a chance to come home about every month or so to visit. But for the most part, he's stuck in the states..."

The girl then looked towards the window as she knew that the answer to the boy's question wasn't complete. She still had to speak about her mother. This caused her to pause, trying to come up with words to describe her.

"My mother...shes a proud woman who is stead fast to keeping family traditions alive. She also likes to put up high expectations for me...being that Im the only child...and a girl..."

Reverting her gaze back to her cup, she smiled as she let one hand stir the contains within once more.

"Which at times, can be alittle much...especially when she puts up so many restrictions..."

Chaos let out a sigh. His mother was kind of like that, but only to a mild. The traditions she wanted to keep alive were merely just small celebrations that the family had kept going. “Must be tough to have such restictions on you.” he said before taking another sip of soda and thinking to himself. He wondered if this was why she seemed kind of down at times. He would have to ask about that as well as the kendo thing when they were closer and she’d fell more free to share her problems with him. Still it never hurt to make a window for her to talk to him about such things. “If you ever feel like there’s something you need to talk about I’ll be there for you.” he said It sounded a bit intamet but that was okay to him. It would help her know he really liked her.

Looking towards him, Brittany giggled as she smiled at him. Taking another sip from her cup, continued to look into his eyes.

"Im gonna hold you to that..."

The girl then leaned back against of her seat, looking towards the picture of a pizza on the ceiling.

Chaos Gave her a nodded and then herd the cashier say their pizza was ready. He got up and took their order and then placed it on their table. “Finally some good hot pizza to eat.” he said as he took a slice and placed it on his plate. He took a bite and made an “mmmm” sound. Chaos was glad that this date was going so well, epically since it wasn’t originally supposed to be one. Still he had to make sure he kept his word and listened to her whenever she had a problem. As he began to eat his first slice part of his mind wondered over to Goblimon. As annoying as the Digimon was, Chaos had a strange since of companionship with him. He sighed and looked out the window. “You know what I find sad, some people think that their Digimon are nothing but fighting tools. They think there’s no consequence to the whole thing that this is just some game.” he said remembering a girl that had tried to pick a fight with him and Goblimon.
