Tylomon couldn't have gotten more serious than he already was, especially after Ciel's words - she actually allowed him to come up with battle plan, or choose one of the default ones. Quickly forgetting about the bushes, he drifted over to the edge of the cliff, looking at the battle as it developed, observing, thinking, searching for a new way to defeat the enemy... Maybe he'd come up with something, he wasn't particularly book-smart, but he certainly was resourceful.
- They fight in tight formations... - this was the first thing the fishie noticed, and drew three squares on the ground, going against two - to demonstrate numerical supremacy. - My missiles would have a devastating effect on such formations... And they have long range, right? Or something like that... Or I don't know... - Tylomon hovered over the crude schematic on the ground he drew with his fin.
- They'd send some guys to kick me in the balls for that, right? Maybe the ones they have in surplus... And the defending people will have the same number as the attacking people... Ugh... my head hurts... - he scratched the head again, it was hard for him to think hard like that for ... whole 5 minutes! He was not supposed to do this, following orders was much easier.
- I will run, they will hunt me in vain. I will hide, they'll be searching... I'll regroup, feign retreat, they'll pursue... I will win but never fight. And while I keep those who are after me busy, you can go for bossman... So Teach ... will it work, or is it all a load of bull?

Tylo's idea ... it was actually a zero risk good one. They would play safe and the enemy would most likely fall for their trick. However, there was a fatal flaw in the otherwise good strategy.
"It is a good strategy, but I doubt the enemy would be stupid enough to continue ignoring their need for a rear guard after knowing an enemy is nearby. At least it would still remove some troops from the field and make the battle more balanced even if we failed to secure a path to the leader"
In the most ideal scenario, the enemy would both send troops after tylomon and continue marching without a rearguard defending their back, but odds were that the enemy was smarter than that .... but hey, it could still work and dinosaurs weren't known for being great tacticians.
"We can try your plan anyways and bet in the ineptitude of their leader, some leaders are chosen for their brawns, not their brains, and we could get lucky if the leader is that kind of digimon"
Again, it was tylomon's decision what would determine which plan was going to be used. As the third party with the surprise attack advantage, they had some very high odds of survival regardless of the outcome of any strategy they used. so they could get away with their lives even in the worst scenarios

- You think tis a good plan? I'm not that keen on planning, ya know? I'd rather follow someone's orders, someone who is smarter than me. Let them do the thinking... - the shark shrugged - he expected flaw upon flaw upon flaw in his "grand idea", but it was certainly good to know that there were fewer than he anticipated. But even still, the shark did not like inventing strategies - he'd rather copy some he knows.
- Well if they don't fall for it, we can charge head-on and have some fun, he-he. Anyhow, we come close enough and I will start blasting shticks. Those few missiles during our training were ... nothing really. Maybe your appearance can also bolster the defender's spirit? I mean ... you're an angel and all that, you know ... like in the fairy tales, an omen appeared and they shall smite the wicked... Pshaw, you know better what to do anyway... - Tylo giggled a bit, and made his way towards the battlefield...

The battle raged on upon the battlefield for who knows how long now. Forces of BlackOmnimon... No, that wouldn't be the right term, a rather large group of collaborators, traitors and antisocial elements, gathered in a junta by a powerful digimon, were fighting to seize control over a minor settlement, in order to pillage and destroy it. That junta had allied itself to BlackOmnimon in hopes to benefit from his power, and to stick with the winner, like cowards usually do.
Paildramon was the one to lead this horde of rejects into battle, where they could unleash their darkest impulses of the heart. He was a big, strong digimon. And he knew a thing or two about leadership and command, otherwise his numerous army would have lost itself during their trip here. And, as he oversaw the battle, he was annoyed. Very, very annoyed. If not outright angry. The frantic defenders did not give them ground, despite numerical supremacy.
- What's taking them so long? That line should have been broken ages ago! - he snorted, asking his assistant - who happened to be a shamanmon - at least a half if the junta was made of goblimon - they were numerous, stupid, and expendable. The shamanmon was the brightest of the goblins, and some said, even brighter than the leader himself, but that was not accounted for - Paildramon still had charisma and strength.
- I am so sorry master, but the enemy defense proves hard to break... We have lost much already trying to take them head-on, perhaps we should regroup and... - the shamanmon silenced when the paildramon smashed his fist against the table with the map.
- No! No regroup, no retreat! We have to take this city before nightfall, else they'd use someone to call for reinforcements from other settlements, or warn them. Continue the assault, and tell you pukes that I will gut everyone who will run personally. Now ... get out of my sight... - the angry dramon roared, and the shamanmon quickly ran off executing the order, and muttering curses of being put up with such an idiot commander...

"It seems like you have found your ideal role in the battlefield. Some are better as leaders while others are better as soldiers"
Indeed, usually it was good to have warriors who would fit in any role, but it was even better to have specialists who excelled in a certain field of the art of war. Tylomon was far from being one of the sharpest minds of the digital world, but his innate talent for battle made of him a powerful digimon with potential to become one of the best.
"I am an angel, but my wings herald not peace but conflict. However, I can see my presence raising the morale of the defending troops given that many sees angel digimon as messengers of justice"
Following tylomon's plan, she flew above the enemy army and to her surprise, they were as fool as they looked: they mindlessly attacked and attacked head on with no clear strategy behind them and the digimon that seemed to be their their leader looked strong but stupid. Maybe tylomon's plan would work after all, so she prepared herself to descend from the heavens and on the paildramon as a goddess of victory for the city defendants as soon tylomon showered them with his missiles.

Tylomon got himself into position on the edge of the cliff, in range of the bulk of the enemy force, whom he was preparing to harass with his long-range attack. Indeed, whatever he had shown Ciel during training was nothing compared to the true extent of his firepower. Inclining his head up to a degree of 45, Tylo opened his mouth wide, showing the immense arsenal hidden there - missiles, of all shapes and sizes, big and small, were stashed there, more than eager to spell doom upon the enemies who would dare challenging the battleship. Next moment, the barrage was unleashed upon the unsuspecting saps...
There is a military term to describe what happened next. Steel rain. Yes, the perfect term. Missiles upon missiles landed amidst the enemy ranks, killing and injuring many with explosions and shrapnel, immediately sewing chaos in the ranks. Tylomon snickered, this was almost too easy, as he prepared to launch another volley - this one was only the first wave...

As presumed, the barrage of the missiles was completely unexpected by anyone in the enemy army - and the effects were disastrous. Packed in a tight formation, the goblimon, dinos and others who formed the bulk of the force, took serious injuries and casualties from the sudden attacks, and started panicking. Goblimon were the first to break the ranks - they were neither strong enough nor disciplined, nor brave. The dinos, however, had the bloody-minded guts not to run, and maybe because of them the whole thing didn't turn into a complete rout.
- Where the hell are you going, cowards? I said STOP! - a tremendous roar unleashed by the paildramon managed to halt the routing forces, and made them reluctantly return to positions. They may have been scared and demoralized by sudden attacks, but that voice was more scary than the enemies in front and the missiles above. Paildramon did not manage to react to who exactly send those attacks, being himself dazzled by the explosion.
- Who dares... - he hissed as he shook his head, and then suddenly saw a shadow cast on the ground, which was growing in size fast. This, and quick reaction managed to save him from the attack from above, as he dodged and rolled over, bringing himself back on the feet this instant. Then he spotted the enemy - an angelic being with swords in her hands - she would have impaled him should he not eade just in time. Paidramon growled, and his spikes on wrists extended to blades, making a decent melee weapon.
- So you're the enemy... bring it. - he raged and fired energy bullets from the two cannons weapon on his hips, like a machine-gun.

Just great, the plan failed and the leader actually realized the missile attack was a distraction. Victory would've been achieved very easily had the paildramon not notice the arrival of the darcmon, but there was no time to cry for the spilled milk, it was time to get serious and face the enemy in an actual battle.
The angel digimon swiftly moved away from the area rained with energy bullets and beautifully soared through the skies as she easily dodge the enemy fire. The paildramon might have some serious rate of fire in those things, but it wasn't very fast and easy to turn around, so she flew around the paildramon and remained safe.
"Such rude and unpolished fighting style cannot belong to a true warrior!"
This paildramon was an offense against real warriors. I mean, how could he fail so much attacking the darcmon? her weapons had a high rate of fire and a well trained digimon would've hit her at least once with them. She decided to stop the source of the bullets and skillfully threw both of her swords not directly at the paildramon but at both of his hip cannons. She expected at least one of them to hit the target and further reduce the firepower of that brute digimon

What happened to the invading army, of course, did not go unnoticed by the force they were fighting against. The spirits rose as the enemy force went into disarray upon the rain of death from above, and the angel of light descended from heavens to fight the invaders. or at least that was how it seemed from their perspective. They need not to know all the details... The defenders figured it would be the perfect time for a counterattack, and started pushing the enemy back...
Shamanmon was among the troops when the bombardment started - he tried to rally the troops while the so-clled leader did nothing rather than shouting out contradictory orders. That one knew nothing of tactics, strategy, anything. He was just a big strong digimon, a good soldier maybe, but never a true leader. His authority was build on fear, not respect and ability.
- Ranks one to three! Hold formation! All others - disperse! All troops, pull back, pull back! - the Shamanmon ordered, trying to reduce damage from the missiles by spreading his troops on wider territory. The first three ranks were supposed to not let the enemy break the whole formation - best troops were assigned there, and the rest would reinforce it, should need arise. Retreat and regroup was necessary - if only to save the army, it was suicide to keep pressing on under such a barrage...
Paildramon did not care what was going around anymore, now that he had the enemy in front of him. He cared naught what she said, in the rumbling of battle, amidst the screams, explosions and shooting, it was very hard to hear anything anyway. He turned around to face the angel once again, as she descended down to earth. He wanted to shoot again, but what happened next was ... unexpected.
She threw her swords at his guns. What was the reason he didn't really find out - both swords hit the guns and bounced away with a metal clang. What did you expect? Swords were made of solid steel, just as swords were. Metal doesn't cut metal like that. Yo cannot chop off the barrel of a machine-gun with a katana, or any other sword for that matter. Besides, swords were not exactly the best choice for a throwing weapon ... they were swords after all, not throwing knifes.
- Dropped these? - he snickered as he picked the swords from the ground, holding them tightly in his hands - now she was weaponless against him, who had a whole bunch of armaments left to throw at her. The guns, for instance. He pointed both at her, and fired, but only one spray of bullets came around - the other gun was jammed. - Work you piece of sh*t! - he hissed angrily and slammed the gun with the butt end of the sword he held, and the next moment both guns were spraying bullets functionally...
--------- (( I skip Tylomon post, assume he resumes the bombardment.))

The situation in the battlefield was somehow contradictory: the leader was indeed a brute and let his troops fall in panic, thus proving that the plan did indeed succeed. However, the enemy troops soon reorganized not by the hand of that brute they had as leader but guided by a shanmamon who seemed to have a better grasp of the situation than the paildramon. For Ciel it would've been fairly easier to just defeat the "brains" of the enemy army, but her goal was to find a strong enemy to fight against, and the paildramon fitted her criteria. It was pointless to continue facing him, but she still needed to improve through battle.
Just as she expected, at least one of her swords hit the hip cannons in a delicate area, thus jamming it, so she dived after the man-dragon digimon while he stupidly wasted time picking her swords and trying to fire with both of her guns, of which one wasn't properly working.
The paildramon eventually somehow managed to hit the non-functional cannon with butt of the Darcmon's captured swords and reinitialized his attack. Alas, by the time he managed to do that the Darcmon already was at close quarter combat range and once more proved her rather good physical combat prowess as she quickly ducked to avoid the gunfire as soon she reached land and with a sweeping kick attempted to throw the brutish digimon off balance and fall on the ground. If the movement were a success, she would continue with devastating elbow strike right into his chest, leaving him breathless, but in the case he somehow avoided either her sweeping kick or counterattacked, she was prepared to perform a fast evasive maneuver to get away from danger. Against strong foes like Paildramon, it wasn't a bad idea to have a secondary plan in case things didn't work as expected, after all while he was as dumb as rocks, he had to be at least decent in battle given that he was the leader of a group of digimon
