Jeri was just as surprised at the stranger, gasping as she held on hand close to her lips while she looked at Salamon while she hung within the hand of the man. The girl wasn't sure what to do? Why did Salamon attack like that? Just what was the small digimon thinking? Looking at the stranger with concern in her eyes, she began to notice some of the features of the Nohemon, one being the fact that the crow upon its shoulder was talking, and appeared to have small stitching around its body.
Is that.....a Digimon?
Salamon struggled within the digimon's grasp, frowning as she flung her legs within the air as a means to escape. Of course, considering her size and limited abilities, there was little she could do. All the same, she wasn't just going to let herself be man-handled by a puppet and some bird. Growling as she looked up towards Nohemon, the digimon continued to bare her teeth at him as she then shouted in his direction.
"My big idea!? You're about to hurt my tamer! Thats my idea! Let me go! I can take you on! Come on! Let me go!Grr!!"

The crow laughed a bit when it heard the tantrum of the small puppy digimon. It wanted to fight, and at the same moment, it was helpless, trying to free itself from the puppet's grip, yet without much success. The bird wasn't sure if it was supposed be angry at the puppy who pushed them like it did. It seemed just like a foolish and stubborn child. The crow moved along the arm of the puppet, looking at the digimon.
- Peck peck peck! - it said, poking the salamon in the head with it's beak. - Anybody home? Any brains there? - the bird asked with irritation.
- We were talking for half of an hour now, and we didn't do anything bad! - it added, and turned to the girl, who obviously didn't notice she was talking to a digimon until now. Still, digimon were no people. - 'Tis yours? - the crow asked, tossing the pup into her tamer's hands, but gently, not to hurt it.

"Hey! Cut that out! I'm serious!!"
Salamon frowned as she held her paws up to her head while glaring towards the bird. She didn't care that it was just talking, the fact that it had been so close to Jeri bugged her. There was no way she'd let something like that fly without at least questioning it. Why was it being so friendly? Wasn't more interested in trying to kill her? In fact, why wasn't the creature attacking right now?
There's no way this guy is being all chummy for no reason....
Holding one eye open as she continued to rub her head, the digimon watched as Jeri nodded her head slowly. The girl continued to hold a blank expression on her face, as if not sure whether to be scared, concerned, or even angry. Eyes remaining wide, the young teen finally spoke after it seemed that hours had past between them within the silence.
"You....aren't going to hurt her right?....She's really sorry..."
Jeri just stared up towards the creature, waiting for his answer as she wasn't sure what could do if he decided to try and cause the small creature harm. Could she actually fight him? With what kind of skills? The girl wasn't a fighter or held some kind of gift that could do something to effect the digimon's judgment. All she could do was hope that he was indeed just talking.

What neither the girl nor digimon knew, was that their presense, their noises, shouting and screaming attracted someone's attentio. It is said that water transfers sounds a lot better than air, so say laws of physics, and they are truthful. And deep in the waters of the sea, there lurked ... something, something that was restless, angry, ad hungry for blood. Fish didn' give enough sport for one that could be considered a prehistoric foccil or something... Upon hearing the sound, the creature went out there on full speed...
- Since when I am a puppy-kicker? You should really get a leash for her, and maybe teach a few lessons of how to behave in public. Does she always jumps people like that? Maybe 'tis mad? Maybe it needs a medicine? Kraa! - the crom exclaimed. Maybe for once in her life she decided not to do anything mean to anyone, and this is the thanks she gets?
She did not manage to say anything else, because the doll turned to face the ocean, and said monotonously: - Something ... coming... - and indeed, there was something that made a small wave once it approached. But before anyone could react, it reached the shoreline, jumping out of the water... It was a horrible, hideous creature, with giant jaws, ugly disformed fins, and weird fin-like legs. It was a Koelamon, and in it's leap it aimed right for the girl...

Jeri smiled slightly as she heard the digimon comment about Salamon being put on a leash. It was something that she did as a disguise for the small creature, but she never considered the idea of having her placed on one all the time. She believed that Salamon was indeed well behaved, if not a little childish at times. If anything, the girl just believed that this was a phase and she'd eventually grow into a more mature digimon if she continued to scold her when she did wrong and praise her when she did right. Her method had shown some progress, but from the way Salamon had been talking towards the more powerful digimon, perhaps the teen still had her work cut out for her.
But as Jeri began to reach out to take the rookie digimon into her arms, she heard the Nohemon say something, causing her attention to be shifted to him. Though as she began to look around her, the girl jumped as a loud splashing noise could be heard from the water, causing her gaze to be turned towards the ocean. Yet as she did so, she felt a heavy force collide into her side, causing her to be knocked down upon her side, sliding along the side as she held a pain-stricken expression on her face. Eyes closed as she felt as if her ribs had been shattered, the young girl remained upon the beach floor.
"Jeri!"
Salamon looked towards the Coelamon and then up at the puppet digimon that still had his hand around the scruff of her neck.
"NOW WILL YOU LET ME GO!!?"

Nohemon didn't reply anything to the pup's accusatin'g request and just dropped the digimon down. The annoying pooch was not of his concern anymore, the giant coelamon was. It knocked the girl to the ground, and would have kept coming to finish her, if somebody wouldn't attract his attention.
The arrow puppet launched hit somewhere near the eye of the monster, but did not poke it out, was more than effective to detract the Koelamon's attention away from the girl. Nohemon did not consider the Salamon to be a great help, and did not expect himself to be strong enough to deal with this fanged prehistoric nightmare.
- Cover your ears! - the crow shouted to everyone and lifted into air. In the light of the moon only her silhouette became visible, and a big, sinister shadow was cast on the ground, covering half of the battlefield.
- Foul demon of the sea will fear the Crow! Mvahahaha! - a strange, unusually deep, croaking voice came from above, ending up in a bone-chilling, cawing laughter. It was so horrible that even a ferocious Koelamon stopped, closing it's eyes and covering it's head with fins, losing fighting spirit and being paralyzed by primal fear. This was a great opportunity to attack... or to flee...

Salamon didn't really get too much time to yell at the scarecrow, only frowning as she lifted herself off the ground and ran towards her tamer with as much speed that her small legs gave her. Arriving at her side, the digimon examined the teen quickly as she moved up towards her face to see if she was still conscious. The girl appeared to be very much awake, though the rate of her breathing indicated that she was terrified of what had just happened.
"Jeri....Jeri say something!...."
Standing down at the girl as she continued to hold her eyes shut, the Salamon looked up towards the sky, closing her eyes as well when the Nohemon used his mental attack to strike fear into the heart of the Coelamon. Opening one eye to see if the digimon was done, the rookie digimon then returned her gaze back to her tamer, nudging her with her front paws. They had to attack now, or at least run. But neither could be done if Jeri wasn't willing to make a move.
"Jeri! You have to make a move! If you don't, we're fish food!"
The girl continued to lay on her side, eyes closed tight as she wasn't sure what to do. If she fought back, there was a chance that Salamon might get her. If she didn't, then they might both die. Nohemon was risking his life as well, could she really just stand by and let him get hurt too? Jeri felt like such a coward. Lion's heart? More like the heart of a mouse.
What do I do....Can I really do this?
Fighting back her fear, the girl slowly rose from the ground, looking down towards the ground as the gentle wind slowly blew her hair to the side. She was silent, unsure of what to say. Maybe that was for the best. If she thought too much about what she was doing, she'd panic again. There was no time for that now, it was either fight or die. Reaching into her pocket, the girl pulled out her digi-vice as well as a card along with it.
"Salamon.....Go..."
The digimon looked up towards the young tamer, unable to see her eyes as her hair seemed to block them from view. But the tone of her voice, its mixture of a serious calm tone, it gave her the opinion that she was willing to fight. If that was so, than she was too. Nodding quickly the Salamon ran in the direction of the Coelamon, gritting her teeth as she had to trust that Jeri knew what she was doing. Because if she didn't do anything, the Salamon would be waste a good chance to lay heavy damage.
As her partner digimon raced off, Jeri turned her gaze towards the creature, lifting her card over her head as she scanned it down the side of her D-Arc.
"Digi-Modify!
Name: Digivice Duration: 5 Posts Color: Red Effect: If the digimon modified by this card is a "Vaccine" they may digivolve to Champion for the duration of this card.
Digi-vice Activate!"
Within moments the Salamon began to glow brightly as she jumped into the air. But as the light faded, a Gatomon appeared in her place as she cried out while reeling her paw back before extending it down towards the Coelamon's face.
"Lightning Paw!!"

The sudden pain from Gatomon's attack managed to snap the Coelamon out of it's fear-induced paralysis. Whatever fright it had against the Crow was now replaced by sheer primal rage, as it swirled around, hitting everything which it could reach to with it's body, before setting her eyes on Nohemon again, who made a couple more shots at the monster.
With a wild roar, the prehistoric nightmare launched itself in another dash, managing to knock the Nohemon to the ground, and lunged to bite it's head off with those giant jaws, full of razor-sharp teeth. The puppet put it's hand in the way of the jaws, but could they be enough of a barrier to stop those choppers? Of course not.
- Aaaaa! - the Nohemon screamed as Coelamon's teeth plunged deep into his hand, and the next moment the monster simply tore off the hand out of it's socket. One wold thank God digimon had no blood whatsoever, because otherwise it would have been one bloody massacre. The fighting was horrible enough without the blood.
- No! I won't let you! - the crow screamed in horror, witnessing what the Coelemon was doing with her doll, her body. She would not allow anyone to do that, and was ready to fight to defend it, even though she wasn't much of a fighter. From above, she launched herself in an attack, aiming in the eye with it's beak. The attack hit, making Coelamon roar in rage an pain once more...

The whipping of the fish's body was so sudden, Gatomon didn't even have time to move out of the way. As such, as soon as it's tail moved towards her, the feline was smacked directly in the face, sending her into the air before landing roughly upon the sand. But she slowly rose back up, holding her paw to her face as she hissed towards the Coelamon. There was no way she'd let it get away with a move like that.
Though before anyone could do anything, the ancient fish was swiftly upon Nohemon, attacking him viciously. Jeri was silent as she couldn't even move anymore, her fear had got to her as she heard the creature scream out in pain. Holding both hands over her mouth, she then finally pulled herself together as she looked towards her partner.
"Gatomon! Help him!"
The white cat nodded as she ran towards the two digimon, attempting to punch at its back in order to turn its attention back to her. Perhaps that would give the puppet enough time to pull himself together.

Nohemon was just about finished. After one of his arms was simply torn off, there wasn't much he could do from stopping the monster from finishing him off. Well, that wasn't entirely true. When the crow came at the fish's eye, effectively poking it out, and Gatomon's attack that came later, the creature roared in pain and anguish, giving the Nohemon some room to reach for his arrow sack and grab an arrow, thrusting it into the remaining eye of the creature, effectively rendering it blind...
Coelamon's roar would have made glass shatter, if there were any around. In sheer rage, it grabbed the puppet by the head with it's teeth, and the next moment tore it off, dragging it in it's mouth like a sack, leaving the decapitated body on the ground. Next it spinned around itself, hoping to hit anything in the vicinity, and landed a heavy blow upon the bird, which didn't manage to fly away in time.
- Kraaaaaa... - a weak scream came out as the small bird was sent away flying, crashing into the ground and leaving a trace in it. Coelamon then tried to get to Gatomon, which was somewhere nearby, though without much success - it was now completely blind, thus vulnerable...
