It was that time of the year when the sakura bloomed all over japan and it's petals covered the soil with beautiful red-ish pink. Today a small group of people gathered in the shrine to enjoy in peace the display of nature's beauty and pray for a good year, however soon their joy become confusing as a strange fog covered the entire shrine and the nearby area, announcing the arrival of one of those entities known as digimon.
"Eek!"
Mirei the palmon finally bio-emerged into the real world and with her she brought the obligatory foggy digital field. She was still confused by the chaos within the institute where she once lived and as confused as she was were the humans in the shrine area, either departing with haste for the intense fog was of bad omen and memento of a two years old incident or investigating the area driven by their curiosity
"Rosemon-oneesan!, where is everybody?"
Her voice echoed through the forest and to the sons and daughters of Adan and Eve, it sounded like the voices of the dead, summoned by the blood soaked sakura trees and the ominous mist. Even the curious now retreated to the safety of the city as the disoriented palmon aimlessly wandered through the shrine looking for clues and the thick fog become less dense and now the palmon and anyone still within the area could see what was going on.
"This isn't the institute and it's all foggy and i'm alone ... but it's pretty ..."
Like a curious child who ignores the predicament of her own situation the moment something shiny caught her attention, she got distracted by the beauty of the sakura tree petals and wandered around the shrine ignoring the presence of the few humans left in the area, who had varied reactions after witnessing the arrival of this data-based lifeform alien to the human world but the most common one was to feel curiosity.

"Waaaah!"
"Don't worry, Shana-chan. It'll be okay," Aruraumon consoled the now crying girl who was sitting in front of her. She pat her gently on the back hoping to calm her down. It was surprising that Shana still hadn't even noticed the Digital Field which had emerged seemingly out of nowhere. The girl was obviously much too set over her break up with her boyfriend to even notice the one thing that she actually enjoyed.
Her teacher hadn't even noticed that they had left Shana behind. The reason that she was here in the first place was for a field trip. But after getting to the shrine, Shana had sneaked away for solo time. She simply couldn't get her eyes to stop watering.
"WAAAAAH!"

"This place is so nice ... I wonder where I'm ..."
She stopped wasting time and looked around for anything that helped her to determinate where she was, although with all that fog and the strange architecture and endless woods around it was hard to determine where she was, and it didn't help at all that she never left her hometown while she lived there.
The palmon attempted to get near one of those humanoid "digimon" to ask for directions but one of the bigger rosemon-shaped ones took with her the small palmon-sized one she wanted to talk with and left called her a monster. The nerve of that digimon, to call her a monster for no reason!
A bit shaken for the rudeness of the strange humanoid digimon, she continued looking for a familiar face and followed the cries of what probably was an in-training or fresh digimon, such kind of digimon would prove to be more friendly she hoped. Mirei followed the cry and to her surprise she actually found a familiar face next to a crying unknown digimon, an Aruraumon!
"A friend, a friend!"
How much rejoice she felt she finally found a familiar digimon! She made haste and in no time arrived where her fellow plant digimon was, and she wasn't alone, next to her there was another of those weird humanoid digimons of small size and she was the source of the crying.
"Hello! what is your name? where I'm? And what are those weird digimon around here? I have cake and I can share with you and the crying digimon if you help me!"
She asked a bit too many question, but to excuse herself and as proof of good will, she offered to the aruraumon and the small humanoid digimon a slice of the cake she had within her shoulder bag.

Uh-oh Aruraumon thought as she heard the Digimon who had just approached right next to her. Without a doubt, it was so unfortunate that this Digimon had met she and Shana, as there was no doubt that Shana was going to want to fight her and absorb her data. The fright was almost apparent in Aruraumon's eyes. She almost completely ignored the cake being offered to her, only looking at it for a second and then back up at the Palmon.
Shana, on the other hand, was not so much as thinking about fighting. She turned to the Palmon and looked at her momentarily. The tears were still flowing in her eyes, at least until she saw the cake. The cake, which had been offered to Aruraumon, was soon in Shana's hands. She began to eat it. Maybe this was just what she needed. Of course, she still felt terrible, but the sweet taste could at least help her get her mind off of being dumped. She stopped crying, at least for the time being.
"I-I'm Shana... and th-this... is my friend, Aruraumon..."
"You're in the Human World now."

"Shana? Human world? So it exists!"She had a quite sheltered life in the institute and only from rumors and urban legends she knew of this "human world" of which the human girl spoke about. She heard in the legends that this was the place where digimon could partner with those "humans" to become stronger than a digimon could normally become under normal circumstances. She looked at Shana and the aruraumon and felt that for some reason her presence was unwanted in the area, with that thing about the aruraumon giving her a mean look and the human looking sad, so she decided to change the mood of both digimon and human to a better one. "Cheer up cheer up! Smiling can heal even the deepest wounds!"She stepped back a little and started performing some sort of basic acrobatic dancing involving regular dance steps mixed with jumps and performed a short song at top of a rock. "Smile and smile in this wonderful day ... dance and dance as the sakura petals fall ... let the soft breeze of spring take away the sadness and the tears and the shine of the sun pain a smile in your face"After her little performance, she stopped and looked back at the duo of human and digimon. "Aww ... I'm no good enough yet, I want to become an artist but my performance isn't good "Hopefully she managed to calm a bit more the sad human and the aruramon, she found strange that the plant digimon wasn't a happy one like her because all the plant digimon she met so far were cheerful and this one was a bit aggressive. Meanwhile, the fog that arrived along the palmon was fading away and soon what little cover it provided was going to be no longer, thus forcing the digimon to find a new hideout to not let other humans find about their whereabouts.

Aruraumon sighed in relief. It didn't appear that Shana wanted to fight Palmon. That was good, because Aruraumon didn't think that she had it in her to fight the poor Palmon. She seemed to simply be lost in the human world, and Aruraumon could certainly identify with that. She remembered very well how scary it was after she came to the human world before she met Shana. It was so scary.
Shana on the other hand continued to eat her piece of cake, which was gone in only a matter of seconds. It was good. She wondered where it came from and who made it, but even now, she really didn't even want to ask. She still felt terrible about the break up. At least, for the moment she was calm. She watched Palmon's dance, it didn't exactly cheer her up, but instead left her feeling rather confused.
"Oh... okay..."
"I thought it was nice," Aruraumon then added.

"Thankee"
She appreciated the aruraumon's compliment and looked at the human girl again, she didn't look any happier even after the palmon tried to cheer her up.
"Don't be sad, we are young and have to enjoy life to the fullest before evolving into grown ups, because they are all about doing things hard to understand and can't have fun any more!"
Well, at least she thought humans were like humans, they evolved into the bigger forms and their personality suddenly change along their bodies. She still couldn't overcome her fear for evolving into something that would change forever her lifestyle and that's why she always lived the present and enjoyed as much as she could her life as a child digimon without worries in the world.
"Have more cake, it was made by the rosemon caretaker of my group and it always makes people happier."
She offered to the small girl a second slice of cake, it was up to her if she wanted it or not, and then the palmon continued.
"Rosemon-oneesan always said that most of us nature types were good at healing other people's hearts, and when I become a good performer I'm going to dance and sing to make everybody in the digital world smile and be happy!"
She wanted to make this girl happy, after all she was friends with an aruraumon and anyone who is a friend of plant digimon must be a nice person.
"Cheer up, there's lots of thing in the world awaiting to be discovered, a good adventure always raises the spirits!"
She then looked at the aruraumon and hold hands with her.
"Let's become friends! we look alike and I bet we can get along if we try! After all our specialty is to make other people happy"

"Th-thank you."
Shana didn't hesitate in taking the second piece of cake and she soon began to eat that as well. Delicious. Shana certainly couldn't say that she didn't like the cake, nor that it wasn't making her feel better. Slowly but surely, the girl ate into the cake. At the very least, Palmon was making her feel better, though she didn't think anything could cure the hole that was left in her heart.
"Yeah! Lets be friends!" Aruraumon agreed to Palmon's proposal, still holding hands with Palmon. "Right Shana?"
At this point, Shana finally stood up and faced her partner as well as Palmon. Her eyes were still red and watery, but she finally showed a smile to them.
"Yeah... Friends."

"Yaay, let's be friends!"
The palmon danced around still holding hamds with the aruraumon and even extended her hand to the human girl to join them in to dancing .... or at least that was the plan, because the fog already completely dissipated and the trio was witnessed engaging into joyful activities by one or two humans that still were in the temple, hilarity ensued as one of them screamed.
"monsters captured a child, help!"
The palmon was once most puzzled about why those other humans considered her and her aruraumon friend monsters, after all the little human with them wasn't bothered at all by their presence.
"They are doing it again, they are calling me a monster and I don't know why!"
The situation was getting worse as more curious humans started appearing, and she didn't even know what was going on. She was the friendliest palmon EVER and those humans for some reasons feared her and aruraumon. This was so hard to understand ...

Shana had joined hands with the Digimon, but as she did this, she soon noticed that the fog was clearing and everyone was quickly coming to notice Aruraumon and Palmon. That wasn't good. Not good at all. She knew how much trouble everyone would get into if they all got caught. Someone would be likely to come and take Aruraumon away from her. She already had plans for Aruraumon hiding, but now that Palmon joined in with them, she thought it was best if she went with them.
"Out there by the trees now!" Shana said, quickly breaking hands with Palmon as she began to run, hand in hand with Aruraumon. Aruraumon's hand, on the other hand, was still latched onto Palmon. Shana quickly made her way to those trees. Once out of sight and behind a bush, she bent over and huddled with the two Digimon, paying special attention to Palmon.
"You are never to be seen by human adults, okay?"
