"Eeh?"

The puzzled palmon simply followed Shana's instructions and followed her and the aruraumon deeper into the forest until finding safety behind some bushes that concealed their small figures from the curious eyes of the grown up humans. She thought that this was some sort of hide and seek game, but the human girl's warning regarding adult humans sounded like it was something serious.

"Why are we hiding from them? Are they bad humans?"

Maybe ... adult humans were the dark evolution of kid humans! That explained why they were so mean the last time!

"Humans can evolve into scary things."

"Hrrmm..."

Shana didn't know how to answer the Palmon's question. Were they bad humans?... well, that was very hard for her to say. She knew that some of them were, while some of them were not. But in any case, she needed to keep the Palmon away from all of them, but she didn't exactly want to lie to her either. The only question was how would she keep this simple and get her to stay away from adults at the same time.

"Well, not all adults are bad... but some of them are, and they have super powers and want to eat you! Not even a Digimon can fight against those humans."

"Eek!" Aruraumon almost jumped out of her skin inn fright by what Shana had said. She hadn't expected the girl to say something so cruel, and she wasn't entirely sure whether Shana's words were truth or fiction. All Aruraumon knew was that it made her want to stay away from adults even more.

"Eeek!"

In unison with the aruraumon, the palmon let out a cry of surprise and hugged her fellow plant type digimon, slightly shaken by the terrible power adult humans had. Not even rosemon-oneesan could beat them and she was like the strongest digimon she ever meet!

"Y-you aren't going to become like them, right?"

She stared at the small girl and wondered about how much power she had in her little body. If adult humans were so powerful, surely this child was only slightly weaker and could beat digimon up to ultimate lever with ease.

"P-please don't evolve, evolution is not always good, you can become a bad digimon, like those evolved humans you mentioned"

This situation reminded to her own and further increased her fear for evolution. Many digimon completely changed their personality after evolving and she was imagining how this sweet human girl could become a digimon eating adult human once she evolved.

Shana nodded in agreement with the Palmon as a promise that she wouldn't digivolve into a bad adult like them. She hated to be so cruel with the Palmon, but she knew it was the only way to get the Palmon to stay away from adults, and what she said wasn't entirely false. If adults found her, bad things probably could happen, maybe they wouldn't eat her, but they may as well.

"Don't worry. I can help protect you," Shana finally said. Aruraumon turned to face Shana at that point. What could... Shana do? Aruraumon asked herself curiously as she awaited for Shana's explanation.

"You can come live with me, my sisters and my mom at the flowershop," Shana said somewhat enthusiastically.

"And me too!"

"Yaay, a new home with my new friends!"

She felt very relieved after Shana promised not to dark evolve into a digimon eating adult and her relief quickly become joy when she was promised to be protected and given a new place where to live along the aruraumon, the human girl and the girl's family in some sort of flowershop. Wasting no time, she showed her intense joy hugging her new friends and smiling as hard as she could

"You are my first friends that aren't from the institute, let's be friends forever, and I hope I can be friends with Shana's sisters and mom too!"

She couldn't be more happy. True, she lost her home in the digital world and probably could never go back, but now she found new friends and more importantly, a new family. To her, having people that she loved and loved her back was the most important part of life and while this lasted, she was going to treasure all the time she spent with her friends. Being stuck in the human world no longer felt like a traumatic experience, now it become a one in a lifetime experience.

So now it seemed that they had everything figured out. Shana didn't think that having Palmon staying with her would be too much trouble. After all, between she and her sisters, they already had three floral Digimon at the house, Floramon, Aruraumon, and Lalamon. An additional Palmon couldn't be too much trouble, could it? Well, Shana definitely hoped not. She'd be able to find a place for the Digimon somewhere.

"Oh, but you have to stay away from my mom too! I don't think she'd like to know that there was a walking talking plant in our house, it'd probably scare her," Shana finally added.

[Mirei]

" I could scare mom? But Aruraumon lives there too and she's a walking talking plant digimon like me ..."

Humans were hard to understand, first she said that she could live with her family and now she said that she had to avoid her mom. She looked at aruraumon and wondered if Shana's mom disliked her because she didn't have a purple flower on her head like aruraumon.

"I don't understand but I'm doing like Shana said"

Thinking too hard wasn't going to help her at all, so she simply accepted Shana's conditions and raised her arms as she smiled and shouted.

"Let's go to Shana's house! I want to meet my new family and make even more friends!"
