"Hrmmmm... Aruraumon, I could have swore that I got a reading for a Digimon somewhere."
Shana was obviously quite upset by this. After all of this searching, she hadn't found a single Digimon for fighting. It really sucked. Finding Digimon was rare enough as it was, and here her Digivice was giving her false signals about where Digimon were only to let her down. Frankly, she didn't believe that there was a single Digimon in this forest anymore. The Digimon lock-on which she had seen on her Digivice earlier was so hazy that she couldn't even make out the form of the Digimon that was nearby.
"It's okay Shana-chan. You'll find one next time," Aruraumon said as she trailed behind Shana. Though, inwardly, she sighed in relief. She didn't want to be drawn into another one of Shana's pointless battles. She loved the girl so much, but even she could see that there was little point to Shana's addiction to real life Digi-Battles. The truth was, the girl had always been an addict to Digi-Battles... and the truth was the videogames were no longer good enough for her.
"No it won't be!" Shana pouted as she stomped her foot on the ground. She halted her walking and crossed her arms over her chest. She didn't want to leave here without a fight!

Two hours. It's been two long hours since Larry came around here searching for a newly-spawned wild one. He was told by Hypnos through commlink that there was something out there, yet still - nothing. Renee went around the place several times, eager to find something to kill, but so far found nothing but utter disappointment. No enemy, no fight, no nothing.
- Are you sure something spawned around here, TACCOM? We've been here for hours, and still no trace of a biomerge whatsoever, and my digivice detects nothing... - the young man said in the commlink.
- Hmm... 'Tis strange. Perhaps there was a glitch in the system or something... Keep looking, and, if you'll find nothing, report back and continue patrolling. - the voice came out of his headphones.
- Roger that, TACCOM. Over and out. - Larry replied and switched the radio off - there was no reason in wasting battery.
- Nothing? - A murmuring voice came from behind. Larry wasn't surprised - he knew who it was. An elegant fox-like creature, whose silvery fur shined in the moonlight, emerged from the shadows, taking her place at her tamer's side. She sounded a bit disappointed though.
- Not today, unfortunately. Come, let's not waste any more time here... - the young man replied, and moved towards the path that lead out of the forest.
- Pity... I was looking forward to cracking some skulls... - the renamon replied softly, but the comment made the agent shiver a bit inside. He wasn't quite the one to appreciate such ... bloodlust? He shrugged, and went down a stiff trail, moving around the trees, carefully, not to trample upon a root or something else. It was then when he suddenly saw something in the bushes.
It was very surprising to see that is was ... a girl. A little girl, about 11 of age, just wandering around in the forest. At first, Larry thought that she got lost, but his eyes narrowed when he spotted a ... moving plant near her. With eyes. Oh, how convenient... - he thought and looked at Renee, who had her eyes on the two as well. A nasty smirk appeared on her face. - Don't even think about it. - Larry whispered to her, coming out of the bushes.
- What are you doing here at this time at night? Don't you know 'tis dangerous to wander in the woods just like that? - he sounded a bit worried.

Aruraumon jumped out of her skin once she heard someone come out of no where and address herself as well as her tamer. Shana hadn't been expecting any company, especially unexpected company, but she couldn't say that she minded it too much, aside from the fact that her Digimon, Aruraumon, had now been spotted by another human. She definitely didn't want Aruraumon to be taken prisoner and studied or anything like that.
Shana faced her new enemy and clenched her fists. Yes. This person, Shana had now decided, was her enemy, and she wasn't going to play around. Though he did not have a Digimon visible to her, she had no intention of taking it easy on him now that he knew about her Digital Secret. She'd have to make sure that he didn't tell anyone.
"I'll be fine," she said stubbornly. "Don't you know that it is dangerous to talk to strangers in a place like this? Especially a ten year old girl and her little friend!"

- Uuu, an evil ten-year old, I'm so scared bu-hu-hu... - Larry replied teasingly. He never took that remark the little girl tossed at him, and was most certainly not scared of the little plant digimon with her. After all, he had backup, Renee kept herself out of sight, it seemed, and was not yet spotted. This was probably for the best, because such a creature suddenly appearing in the darkness would be ... startling.
- Ah, but seriously, you should go home. There's a wild digimon crawling around somewhere here, and I must find it before it kills somebody... - he added, looking around warily, as if that something would jump them this instant.
- Speaking of digimon, did you see any around here, besides yours, that is? - an inquiry followed. After all, he and his partner was here to hunt down malicious biomerges, and not dealing with little girls...

Listening to what the man said, it definitely sounded as though he had some connection to Digimon. If that were the case, then he had one. Rin had never met anyone who knew about the reality of Digimon who wasn't a tamer. Therefore, he most likely had a Digimon around here somewhere, though she couldn't be too sure as to where.
"Sir! You have a Digimon, don't you?!" Shana asked him quite stubbornly once again. She certainly didn't want to take no for an answer. She stomped her feet hard on the ground and clenched her fists at her side while she awaited his answer. She wanted a fight, that much was for sure, and she didn't want to let him leave without one.
Aruraumon subtly hid behind Shana, peeking out from behind her. She looked over at the man and shook her head in the hope of nudging him to answer the question in the negative. She knew what would happen if he said yes.

- Indeed, he has one. That would be me. - a murmuring, yet eerily calm voice was suddenly heard from behind the girl and her floral companion, before Larry could even reply or take in consideration those hints the flower digimon was giving him. His eye twitched a bit, even he did not expect such a sudden entrance. The renamon, obviously, just wanted to show off how easily she can creep out on people.
- Did you HAVE to do that? - the young man asked with a bit of irritation.
- I'm sorry, Laurence. I was always there, in case thing should go ... awkward. - the renamon replied softly, taking her place at her tamer's side. The icy-blue eyes scanned the two in front of her, before focusing on the face of the plant digimon, drilling through with a piercing stare.
- Well, meet Renee, my partner. But you didn't answer my question. Did you see any other digimon around here? - the question was reiterated again...

Aruraumon jumped out of her skin once again upon hearing the Fox Digimon approach from behind her. She quickly turned around to face the Digimon, dreading the fact that she had come. Aruraumon had no desire to fight her at all, but she knew that Shana wouldn't feel the same way. She was about to be forced into battle and there was nothing that she could do to get out of it at this point. Shana, however, turned to face the Digimon with a mischievous smirk. She held up her Digivice and pulled out a card, now having every intention of ignoring the questions which were being posed to her.
"Aruraumon, prepare for battle!" Shana said to her partner as she faced the SilverRenamon with her glare. She took a step back and kicked Aruraumon foreward to get in between herself and the Renamon. Aruraumon, however, landed on her butt and looked up at the SilverRenamon, there was an obvious fear in her eyes.
"Shana-chan... I don't think this is such a good idea," Aruraumon cowered as she got to her feet. "Lets... not do... this..."
"Shut up Aruraumon and prepare for battle!"

- Battle? - Larry looked at the girl and the poor flower digimon she pushed forward, without hiding amazement. Was she serious? Why, so out of the blue, she decided to fight? The unfortunate digimon, that was her partner, obviously did not wish to face such a fearsome opponent such as Renee, who was now sporting a malicious grin, as if the sight of a smiling renamon wasn't intimidating enough.
- Master, may I? - Renee asked with the same eerily calm voice, making a step forward, and looking at the poor plant as if it was dead already. The path was blocked by Larry's hand, who made her stop, without doing anything, but the malicious intentions were still there.
- You do not look like you want to fight for this heartless girl's amusement, do you? You do not have to fight, if you do not want to. - Larry asked Aruraumon with pity in his voice. Of course, he wasn't going to stir up a fight with ... heh, a ten-year old and her digimon - he had more important matters to attend to around here.
- I see you are sure you want to fight, little girl? But tell me, is this Arukenimon your friend? What if she will get hurt? Or even killed? Renee is not quite the ... - the young man began explaining, but was a bit interrupted:
- I do not have to kill. Torture, dismemberment, evisceration also work well. - the renamon added. Larry frowned. But this unexplained hostility will be something he'll deal with later. For now he had some explaining to do to the mischievous girl.
- You can take responsibility for your own life, but are you alright with sending your friend out to possible death?

Shana clenched her fists quite angrily and upset. How dare this man lecture her as though she were some little child! She knew what she wanted, and she would stomp her foot to emphasize that point. She glared up at him and then shifted her gaze to his Digimon momentarily. Aruraumon simply cowered, though she was now on her feet and preparing for the inevitable fight which was to come.
"First off, her name is Aruraumon!" Shana said with another stomp of her foot. "Second off, I'm the best tamer ever, and Aruraumon is the best Digimon! She won't get hurt because we're the best!"
Aruraumon nodded to Shana's statement. She would fight if that was what Shana wanted, and as of now she had no choice other than to trust in Shana's choice of action. She couldn't let the girl fight by herself, and Aruraumon knew that Shana wouldn't back out of a fight, regardless of whether or not she was there. Aruraumon knew that if she was to walk away, Shana would just attempt to fight the Renamon by herself and would most likely get killed. Aruraumon would feel guilty for the rest of her life if that happened. So she'd just have to swallow her courage and stand up to fight.
"So we are going to fight sir," at that instant, Shana reached into her backpack and pulled out what appeared to be a water balloon. Wasting no time, she threw it directly at the man's face. He wouldn't feel it until it popped, but it was actually filled with urine.
"Heheheh! Back away now," Shana taunted him. She reached back into her bag and pulled out her deck of cards. "It's fightin' time!"

Marik had been taking a simple walk through the forest. There had been a lot of digi-breachings here lately and not too many of the digimon were the good kind. He and Kudamon had been doing their best dispatching what evil digimon they met. He still wasn't too sure about Kudamon absorbing data though. What would happen if the data was allowed to just vanish? Did it go back to where it came from? Did absorbing them actually kill them? If they weren't absorbed would they reform and eventually return?
It was a bit of a personal debate. Killing a digimon seemed a bit overboard, but who was to say they would learn from being sent back to their own world? Who's to say they wouldn't just come back hungry for revenge? Plus, the digimon that they came across were getting stronger and stronger. Kudamon needed to become stronger so he could fight off the stronger digimon that threatened their world. Absorbing data was a significant part of a digimon's growth according to Kudamon, and what if that data just disintegrated into nothing? It'd be a horrible waste of life just to let it disappear. Over all, Marik was leaning towards just letting Kudamon absorb data. These evil digimon were a threat to their world and logic favored data absorption.
"There's a strange Renamon there." Kudamon whispered from his usual hiding spot curled up in the collar of his coat. Marik looked over, and sure enough it was indeed a Renamon, though its fur was silver instead of the typical yellow. He also spotted a human that was with it. Loud and clear she could hear the easily recognized shout of Shana. What has she gotten herself into now? He thought exasperatedly. He chose to hide behind a thick tree and wait and listen to what happened. So far it didn't seem too good...
