The safe house was empty. Everybody was either at school, work, mission, or whatever. The door was locked, only one having a key could open it and go inside. It was good, very good indeed. For safe house was not quite as empty as one would thought, there was someone inside, and that someone needed ... privacy.
Renee was sitting at the computer for a while now. An hour, maybe two. She wasn't good at computers, not one bit, and this was why whatever she did was going very, very slow. Ever since she found out that Wizardmon was in a middle of encounter with Hypnos troops, she tried accessing data files concerning encounters during that night. No success so far - she needed a password, and only Larry knew the password. And she couldn't ask him ... she couldn't allow him to know...
She also tried looking for that girl whose clothes description she got from Biyomon. But she couldn't even get the head start there - where the hell would she look for a "clothes" database? And what was with those weird clothes anyway? Stumped, Renee hit her head against the keyboard.
- Seven ... six ... err... nine? No... - she frowned as she saw the same old picture saying: Password incorrect, access denied. She sucked at code-breaking too. But what else she could do? The information was needed desperately, and neither her strength, agility or stealth were of any use here. - Curses... - she hissed angrily, hitting her head against the keyboard again...

Khrys had left the safe house a couple hours ago on a simple trip to the grocery store to restock their fridge and stuff. It seemed she had a lot to do in mundane tasks such as this. She had initially left with BlackMonodramon, but the clone digimon had chose to wander off along the way on whatever business he did when he was on his own. Khrys had been pretty okay on her own. There were plenty of people around that it didn't really bother her that she was on this trip alone. She still functioned properly so long as there was someone around, and there were always people swarming the streets and stores.
It wasn't until she entered the apartment that the safe house was located in, that problems began to arise. As she walked down the hallways and up the flights of stairs, she became increasingly aware that there was no one around, and her usual happy-go-lucky attitude vanished to replaced by crippling fear. She managed to get to the floor the safe house was on, before her eremophobia fully set in, and she fell back on her rump, dropping the grocery bags she had carried and balling herself up into a fetal position. She began to cry softly, her cries growing steadily louder as time passed and she remained quite alone.

Renee kept sitting alone in the quietness, only clicking of buttons breaking the silence from time to time. She was annoyed, very annoyed. She hated computers, and stupid passwords, and small buttons, which she couldn't push with her big fingers. Everything was against her. She was close to the point of biting things and hitting walls in powerless anger, because she couldn't crack a lousy password, when she suddenly heard ... sounds, coming from behind the door...
Immediately ducking and leaning to the wall, Renee silenced. In the quietness she could figure what the sounds were. The sounds were of ... crying? Wait, she knew that crying pattern... Moment later, the fox facepalmed. Yep, that was she alright. The team's cry-baby. With a sigh she approached the door, opening it from the inside. Carefully peaking to see if there was anyone else around, and seeing no one, she opened the door wide open, only to see the most ... awkward picture ever.
- What a mess... - Renee stated, quickly picking up the packs with groceries, before focusing her only eye on the girl, who curled in a ball on the ground. She sure had one awkward phobia, the fox gave her that. Shaking her head, Renee knelt to be on the same level with the crying girl before saying:
- There, I'm here. Would you stop crying now before anyone else sees you? Or me?

Khrys crouched their sobbing for a while, but fortunately it wasn't long until someone finally came around. At the sound of Renee's voice, she instantly recovered, and without warning jumped forward and glomped Renee. "Yay! Renee, you're here!" Khrys exclaimed, though quickly letting go and darting inside the safe house, leaving the SilverRenamon to carry the groceries in.
She stood for a moment to wait for Renee to set the groceries down somewhere so they could unpack, but her poor attention span got the better of her when she noticed one of the computers was still on, though no one other than Renee seemed to be there. She quickly went and looked at the screen, noticing it seemed stuck being prompted for a password. "Reneeeee, were you doing something on the computer?" She asked curiously.

Renee rolled her eyes upon being glomped by the child. She was mulling over an idea for hiring someone to be with her at all times, to avoid such embarrassing situations like this in the future. What was so scary about being alone anyway? Renee enjoyed moments of loneliness from time to time. Hnh, mental disorders, go figure. As the girl darted inside, she followed silently, carrying the goods to the kitchen, leaving the girl in the room for a while. Upon return, however, she was welcomed with a rather curious question. - Damn, forgot to switch the accursed thing off... - she cursed mentally.
- Yes. I was trying to get access to some files, but the obstinate machine refuses to give me any without a password. - she replied evasively. If the girl were to proceed with more awkward questions as to why she needed access, the fox might have a bigger trouble thinking up a plausible explanation.
- And I forgot the password. Do you remember it, Khrys? - she asked, hoping that there would be a chance the girl would help her out with this without asking too many questions. Although, knowing Khrys, chances of that were ... slim.

Any hope of no awkward questions, were lost on Khrys. Her curiosity was already peaked. What the heck was there that Renamon was interested in? She thought of her more as a fighter, not someone who was interested in information. So there must have been something juicy Renamon wanted to find! "Of course I remember!" She said, leaning over the vacant chair, and she began to type the password. Before she shifted her finger over to the last key, she asked another question. "Soooo, why do you need access to these files? What are you looking up?"

So Khrys did agree to help out. This was good, very good indeed. Out of the 4 agents, she seemed to be the nicest one, anybody else would have already hung a lampshade for interrogation, for digimon were not allowed to dig in Hypnos's files, no matter what level of secrecy. Khrys surely asked a question, that one was expected, and Renee hoped her answer would be satisfying enough... But first...
- How about we press that little key right here... - she said mildly, though not knowing what exactly was the last letter in the code. Guess she had to answer the question after all. - Nothing too intrusive. I just wanted to see the list of the wild ones destroyed by troops in the northern part of residential district four days ago. Some things need to be cleared out for me.

Though Renamon answered the question, Khrys was still hesitant about completing the password. Northern District? Khrys hadn't heard much of anything about what that could have been, but then again, there were tons of small encounters that occurred that really weren't big enough to bother bringing up. It still raised one question though. She slid her fingers around in circles on the keyboard idly as she thought. "Why do you care about that particular encounter?" Khrys pressed on. She knew she was trying Renamon's patience, but she had the power in her hands, and she'd pry whatever she could from the silver fox.

Renee sighed. Guess natural curiosity and gossipness got the better of the girl this time. She wouldn't let go before she gets something of a coherent answer. Fortunately, Renee was a pretty good liar. And she could not allow Khrys to know the true reasons, otherwise everyone and their grandma would know. And Renee would kill rather than let it happen.
- I have information that during that encounter one of the wild digimon managed to escape. I wish to confirm if that is true or false. If true, I would find him. And end him. - she said coldly, putting on a mask of heartless, relentless assassin she used to wear as a face not too long ago. It was awfully comfortable in it, though it was Renee's decision to put it on as seldom as possible... Someone's influence showed...
- So... are you going to help me out? It is our job to get rid of the wild ones, you know... - she asked, trying to sound malicious. It wasn't too hard, old habits weren't quite dead yet...

Khrys narrowed her eyes. That explanation... didn't really add up. They would have been alerted if there was a wild one that had evaded them that needed to be put down. Even if they hadn't been alerted to it, Renamon could have just gone out anyways and searched for the digimon and struck down any wild ones she came across. There was no reason for her to access the computer and risk getting in trouble. Mega trouble. Khrys was going from curiosity to genuine suspicion rather quickly. "That's true and all, but if you think there might be a wild one loose, why don't you just go out and look? If there's a loose wild one, you'll find it eventually." She said, growing tired of leaning over the chair and sitting on it instead. "Why does Larry have you looking up stuff on the computer anyways? You aren't supposed to be on it. He knows that."
