Shana sat in her room at her computer. She had just now gotten home from school. However, now that she had left, she could begin preparing herself for something much more important than her education, Digimon Cards. She knew exactly how important it was for her to figure out how to improve her battle strategies, and it was for that reason she was searching the net to find the best and newest cards being sold. Granted, having to buy cards through booster packs made things so much harder. You never knew what you'd get!
"There are some nice cards on here, Aruraumon... Oh, and Palmon!" Shana said to the two of them with plenty of excitement. Granted, Palmon wouldn't have much to do with any new strategies Shana developed. Though Palmon had been a part of her family for a few days, Shana didn't exactly consider her to be the same as a partner, just a really good friend. She didn't want to see Palmon fighting, as without a human partner, it would be much more dangerous for her, and if she were forced to Digivolve... well, that wouldn't be good either.
"Hrmmm..."

"Wooow, and that is a car? That's so cool!"
Since the palmon joined the Hitoehi family, she had been having lots of fun learning from magazines and books about stuff from the human world, and right now she was in awe after reading a magazine with ads about a sports car, those things were really fast and for some reason had horses inside. She couldn't understand well how so many horses could enter inside the car and power it up ... horsepower, human technology was truly amazing. Her attention was diverted from the car ads and placed on Shana as she once more mentioned things about cards.
"Someday I want to see how you use those cards!"
What little she learned until now regarding those cards was that using that strange device Shana always carried with her, she could use them to somehow power up Aruraumon. It was even more strange than the horse power thing of cars, because she never heard before in the institute about cards that could improve digimon, it probably was another invention of those very smart humans who creates complex artifacts used for even more complex things.
"Aru aru, tell me how it feels when Shana-tan uses those cards!"
Her curiosity about the power of the cards grew more and more every time Shana acted like the cards were something so awesome that even a cool and spicy girl like Shana got excited just by the possibility of getting new ones. She looked back and forth between Aruraumon and Shana while she waited for answers that satisfied her very noticeable curiosity

Shana listened to Palmon who seemed rather interested in the Digimon cards. Shana, on the other hand hoped that Palmon wouldn't get dragged into any of her fights. She really didn't want to see anything happen to the poor digimon. She seemed pretty fragile as she was, and without being able to modify her... well, things could get ugly. Shana pondered for a moment... before an idea hit her.
Hrmm... We should find her a tamer! Shana thought, though she didn't say it out loud right now. She'd bring it up later. Nonetheless, she did think that it sounded like a rather good idea. It would not only provide Palmon with protection, but also she'd probably be happier. On the other hand, she knew Aruraumon wouldn't like it if she said something like that, because she wouldn't want Palmon to leave. So for now, it'd be best to keep such a thought to herself and let the two Digimon continue their conversation.
"Well... It's actually very different depending on which card Shana-chan uses. Some of them make me feel like power is surging through my body... while some of them, I don't even feel... It's odd, really."

OOC: Join us, that would make this even better! ------------------------------------- "Ohhh, that's so interesting, humans can create incredible things, not even a datamon could create stuff like this digi-something Shana uses!"She still thought that both the digivice and the card digimodify things were made by humans, so for her, humans were not only very powerful but also very smart, like Datamon smart but more. "Aru-chan aru-chan, tell me more about what you do with Shana-chan when you are outside, I bet you do all sorts of nice things like help lost digimon like me and fight against the bad guys and save the day!"The duo of tamer and digimon were so nice with her that she couldn't imagine them doing anything other than awesome and good things, after all without them she would still be lost in the forest and maybe ... end up captured and eaten by those evil digimon eating humans! She shivered a little just by thinking at how different her life would've been had she not met Shana and Aruraumon, probably by now she would be inside the stomach of a human who thought she was yummy and very tasty, the ideal ingredient for a healthy salad made out of palmon.

Hanako often avoided coming home, but she had to feed herself and Lala as her mother was often out. Grudingly, she headed up the stairs to her house. Fumbling for the keys, Hanako unlocked the front door. Swallowing, Hanako gently opened the door. "O-Okaasan? I-Im home...!" She called. Lala's sensors began to go off. "Two digimon." She reported. "Do you think it could be Oneesan...!?" She asked. "No...it is not Floramon...but I do sense Aruraumon..." Hanako immediatly froze. "Hanako...don't be afraid of Shana. Remember the pact we made?" Lala asked. Hanako stopped shaking and nodding. Closing the door behind her, she kicked off her shoes and headed upstairs. "Oneechan?" She asked in a firm voice.

"Hrmm..."
Shana continued clicking around on her computer. She was looking for something that would make both herself and Aruraumon unmatchable by every other tamer. She knew there had to be a card like that out there, she just wasn't looking in the right places. She turned back to face Aruraumon and Palmon, who still seemed to be talking about something, though she soon interrupted them.
"I'll show you a card combo Aruraumon and I have just made," she then said to them as she rolled her chair around. She picked up her digivice and two of her cards. She heard Hanako coming in, but decided to ignore her for now. Shana's door was closed, and Hanako should know that meant "don't come in." In any case, Shana swiped her cards.
"Digimodify! Red offensive activate! Digimodify! Digivice Activate!" At the second swipe, Aruraumon would begin to shine as she felt a strange feeling go through her body.
"Aruraumon digivolve tooooooooo...."
Woodmon
Shana then smiled and turned to face her partner and Palmon. She then gave them both the thumbs up, knowing that the strategy she had just used was one of her ultimate ones, and the best one she had come up with to date.
"Nice, eh?"

The sweet and caring voice from outside Shana's room did nothing to stop the small girl's "card combo", however the newest member of the Hitoehi actually paid attention to the voice and thought that Shana-chan was too focused in her card combo thingy to notice that somebody was going upstairs.
"Shana-chan, somebody is yelling from ... Eeek!"
The palmon was startled by the evolution of her friend, it was so sudden and unexpected that she completely forgot what she was about to tell to Shana and instead all her attention was in the digimon that once was an aruraumon.
"Aru-chan, aru-chan, are you still there?"
She still couldn't believe what she just saw with her own eyes, Shana-tan did something with the strange device she was holding and two cards and now Aru-can was no longer, instead a woodmon standing where she once was.
"Please aru-can, answer me, tell me that you didn't change, that you are still my friend!"
The palmon was definitively agitated by the strange situation, she always found evolution as a scary thing for which not everybody was ready, and the human she thought was the nicest human in the world forced her aruraumon friend to evolve against her own will. Was she still the cute and gentle plant digimon she considered an important friend, or her personality was replaced by another one more suitable for a scary looking woodmon? She looked at Shana and spoke with the naivety of a child who inspired by the adventures of Peter Pan, truly believed there was a way to forever be kids free of the responsibilities and worries of the grown ups.
"Evolution is no good, growing up is scary and I still want to be friends with aruraumon, change her back before she stops being aruraumon and acts and thinks like an adult digimon; and you don't become an adult too Shana-chan, they eat digimon!"
The small palmon didn't look like that, but any digimon who knew how to measure the data within other digimon could tell that she had more than enough data to naturally evolve into her champion form, yet she didn't do it for fear of change. Would she become a good adult digimon or a bad adult digimon when she evolved? The only sure thing was that she was not ready to evolve, at least not until she accepted that growing up was part of every living being's life, be a digital monster like her or a human like Shana.

Lala's spinner began spinning like crazy. "Power level rising! Digivilution in progress!" Once the digivilution was done, a small child-like voice filled the air from inside Shana's room. "Oneechan! I'm coming in!" Hanako said opening the door. She let out a small shriek when she saw the Woodmon and Palmon. Lala floated in, blinking in surprise. "You digivolved Aruraumon? Congratulations!" Lala chided. Hanako moved inside, staying far away from Woodmon and her sister. "Little digimon, are you okay?" Hanako asked, offering her hand to the Palmon. "My name is Hanako, and this is my partner, Lala." She said in a kind voice.

"Don't worry, Palmon," Woodmon then said to the concerned Digimon. "Digivolution by cards is only temporary."
Shana nodded in agreement with Woodmon, though as she finished speaking, she noticed that her little sister, Hanako, had just come into her room... without permission at that. How rude! She had the door closed for a reason. Her little sister couldn't have been silly enough to not notice that. Shana stood up from her chair and stubbornly placed her hands on her hips and turning toward her little sister.
"Hanako-chan! You know better than to walk into my room without knocking!" Shana said as she took another step toward her sister, she then pushed her, hoping to make her lose balance and fall onto her bottom.
"It's rude! I need privacy!"

"A temporal evolution? Then aru-chan will be back soon, yay!"
The palmon felt relieved after both of her new friends told her about how card-induced evolution was temporal. She couldn't stop getting more and more impressed by what Shana and mankind in general can do, they can even control evolution and evolve-devolve digimon at will, truly an incredible thing.
And then, out of nowhere, another human girl appeared and shrieked the moment she saw woodmon and palmon. She was really cute and happy and next to her there was a lalamon. That could only mean something, she was a tamer too!
"I'm fine now, I bet you are Shana's sister, because you are super cute like her!"
She waved one of her hands at the lalamon to greet her and accepted Hanako's handshake proposal ... or at least that was the plan because for some reason Shana pushed her before she could shake hands and acted like the other human girl offended her. The puzzled palmon looked at the lalamon and wondered what was going on.
"Umm ... aren't they sisters? Shouldn't they get along and smile together all the time? Because that's how I act with other plant digimon, we are all family and need to get along and have lots of fun."
She always believed that everybody should get along if they shared a special relationship, and there's no more special relationship than the one of direct relatives. Regardless of what could happen after this, she was interested in becoming friends with the new human girl and the lalamon.
