"How can you live in a place like this? Doesn't he ever want to roam around? This shed is like a cage..."
Balancing herself upon the roof of the old shed that Guilmon called home, Gatomon frowned while looking around as Jeri seemed to be doing the same. The two of them appeared to be looking for Takato and Guilmon or at least Jeri was. Gatomon couldn't understand her reasons for doing so, it wasn't as if there was some kind of trouble of anything. Unless, she wanted to speak to him about Nohemon. It had actually been a day since the girl started talking to her again.
Shes so strange...I thought she knew all about digimon and how half of them want nothing more than to kill. Yet, she got all bent out of shape about one digimon dying in attempt to help her. I mean....does it have to do with Leomon?
Staring at Jeri as she seemed to hold a calm expression on her face, the feline continued to frown as she thought about how much the girl seemed to love her former partner. The noble Leomon that had helped her and died for her two years ago. Not that she really cared, the truth was that if he was so great, he wouldn't have got himself killed.
There a word for digimon that just jump into the way of an attack....instant data...
While Gatomon continued to think to herself, Jeri sighed as she realized it was probably hopeless to look for them here. If anything, the two of them were out with the others. It wouldn't even be surprising if they were and had not told her about it. At this point, Jeri wasn't strong enough to help too much. Maybe she could get information from time to time, but other than that, she was waste of space. The only reason she wanted to talk to Takato was to tell him that she didn't want to go back to the digital world.
I just can't go back there......I'm not sure if I could take it....What if I lose Gatomon?

Takato had mixed feelings about going to the digital world. Sure, he jumped right into the idea when Calumon was taken there, but that was to rescue Calumon. There was nothing he wouldn't do to save a friend in trouble. This time? It was entirely different. There was no one to rescue, but still all the danger they could run into and he really didn't want to put Guilmon or any of his friends in danger if it wasn't absolutely necessary.
He himself still didn't quite think this venture would be necessary. So far, they had no problem dealing with the digimon that were emerging into the real world, and they had no clue what was going on in the digital world. Surely it wasn't that big of a problem? They were after Calumon sure, but it wouldn't be better to just hide the little guy and keep the bad digimon off him?
Takato had to run a few errands for his Mom, so he had left Guilmon at Shinjuku Park. He may have passed if as a kid in a costume on the streets, but he couldn't bring him into a grocery store, he'd look a lot more suspicious in there, plus, well... Guilmon plus food usually equated out to no food. At least he'd still get some fresh air being in the shed than inside the house, though he didn't leave him there nearly as often as he used to anymore. After dropping the groceries he had bought back at home, he was now on his way to Shinjuku Park to pick up Guilmon.
Meanwhile, Guilmon had been resting far back in the shed. The moment he caught a familiar scent though, he bolted upright. It wasn't Takato, but it was definitely a friend! Sure enough, Jeri was there, and he could hear Gatomon speak from up on the roof. "Its easy. Takato takes me here and leaves me lots of yummy bread to eat, I dug this hole to sleep in, and after eat, I sleep and Takato wakes me up when he comes back!" said Guilmon cheerfully. "Roaming around is okay, but Takato doesn't like it when I do that, so I stay in here. Its more fun when I'm with Takato anyways. Don't you have more fun when you are with Jeri?"
Guilmon then turned to Jeri, blinking at her fairly neutral expression. It hadn't gone over Guilmon's head that Jeri was wasn't as happy as she used to be. He missed the days when she always smiled. "Jeri, am I still cute?" He asked, smiling at her, doing his best to try and look the same as he had been the first time Jeri called him cute. She had smiled then, maybe she would smile now?

Hearing a voice actually respond to her statement caused Gatomon to fall backwards upon the roof with a shocked expression on her face. But she wasn't the only one that had jumped at the voice, Jeri turned around as well, looking towards the interior of the shed as Guilmon's figure became clear. It never occurred to her that the creature just might be further back within the hide away, especially since the digimon did have a habit of digging holes.
Watching as the feline jumped down from on top of the shed, Jeri giggled as she watched Gatomon dust herself off with an annoyed expression on her face. She seemed to be somewhat upset at having been caught so off guard, but she really didn't think it was something to be mad about. After all, no one was perfect all the time.
Gatomon listened to the dinosaur's explanation for his living arrangement and why he never left. When asked if she had more fun when she was with Jeri, the feline smirked while she closed her eyes at the same time.
"Yea....I guess you have a point there...."
It was interesting to watch the two digimon interact with one another. Especially since Guilmon and Gatomon rarely were around each other. Perhaps maybe she should consider letting Gatomon come around here to keep Guilmon company? But before she could think too much about it, the red digimon appeared in front of her as he asked her a question that seemed rather strange.
"Of course you are? Why wouldn't you be?"
Kneeling down as she rubbed his head with a smile, Jeri giggled lightly as she looked at her partner as the feline leaned back against the entrance to the shed.
"But has Takato come by? I really wanted to ask him something.."

Guilmon grinned wider, and made a content sound as Jeri smiled and rubbed his head. There it was! "I like it when you smile Jeri!" He said, nuzzling his head into Jeri's hand. When she asked about Takato, he glanced back down the path to the shed. "Takato said he wouldn't be long. He should be back soon." He then looked down at Gatomon, then suddenly turned around back into the shed.
He found one bun that he had overlooked earlier. It had a small bit of dirt on it, but Guilmon never paid much attention to how clean his food was. Food was food to him no matter what kind of dust had fallen on it. He returned to Jeri and Gatomon. He ripped the bun in half, and offered each half to Jeri and Gatomon. "Hungry?"
Sure enough, Takato had been running up the path toward the shed. For a second he was alarmed to see someone else there, thinking Guilmon had been discovered, but he instantly relaxed when he saw it was Jeri. "Jeri! Its good to see you. Salamon digivolved?" He greeted, adding in the last part as he noticed the Gatomon with them.

Jeri blinked as she heard Guilmon say that he liked to see her smile, continuing to smile softly as she rubbed his face as it nuzzled her hand. It was weird hearing that, had she not always been smiling? Or perhaps, her fake smile wasn't as undetectable as she thought. If so, then at least it was by a friend. Watching as Guilmon walked back into the shed for a moment, the young girl stood back up with a blank look on her face. Gatomon seemed to share the same look, as both just waited to see what it was that the digimon was doing.
Upon his return, Guilmon revealed a somewhat dirty bun within his claws that he ripped in two and offered to both Gatomon and Jeri. The two females looked at each other as they both took one half and then returned their gazes towards the digimon as they nodded in thanks. Though just as Gatomon was about to hand it back to the dragon and explain why, a voice caught her ear as Takato appeared upon the path. Running towards them, the boy seemed to be tense for a moment, but then relaxed as he drew closer. But what really put the Gatomon off somewhat was that he seemed so shocked that she had digi-volved? Was it really that surprising that she had worked hard and gotten stronger?
"Well don't sound too surprised...."
"Gatomon...Thats rude..."
"Was just saying...."
Sighing at her partner's statement, Jeri looked towards Takato with a smile as she placed her hands behind her back.

Takato blinked when Gatomon acted less than pleased by his remark. "Sorry, I didn't mean offense, I just never seen you digivolve before. Congrats." He said, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. He hadn't expected the digimon to take it harshly, he had meant it as a compliment. Well, she was a new friend, and he guessed he'd still need to work on getting to know the feline digimon better.
He then turned to Jeri again. "Hey Jeri, what brings you up here?" He asked. Though it had been a frequent hideout for the tamers in the past, now that their parents knew about it and they could bring their digimon home, they just didn't hang out much here anymore. Takato only left Guilmon here sometimes during school or when he went somewhere he couldn't bring him but still didn't want to leave him cooped up in the house, which was small and stuffy for a large raptor like digimon.

"Yea yea...."
Gatomon waved her paw towards him as she then shrugged her shoulders as she walked by Guilmon before handing him his piece of bread back. Then, she swiftly jumped back up onto the roof of the shed, lowering herself down so that she was laying down as if to take a nap. All the while, Jeri returned her attention from the actions of her partner to Takato, blinking as she closed her eyes for a moment to gather her thoughts together. She wasn't sure how to tell him what she was thinking, how scared she was. The boy always seemed so brave to her, and it was one of the reasons why she always knew she could count on him whenever she was in trouble. Of course, she didn't think of him as her knight in shinning armor or anything. Just simply a great friend.....or...maybe she was lying to herself again?
"....Well...I wanted to ask you something..."
Opening her eyes as she stared out towards the distance, she smiled while she seemed to be still trying to bring her thoughts around to the point where she could actually say them aloud. Of course, in the end, she seemed to say the exact opposite of what she was supposed to.
"Do you think.....I should maybe get my hair cut?"

Takato had always did his best to be patient with Jeri. He didn't always know the right things to say, but he was always a good listener. "Yeah?" He responded simply, when she said she wanted to ask him something. After a long hesitation, Jeri, finally asked... if she should get her hair cut? Takato blinked. "Well, if that's what you want Jeri, but I think you are beautiful the way you are." He said, smiling a bit.
However, his smile didn't last long, and was quickly replaced by a more concerned expression. He wasn't that oblivious, and even he knew getting one's hair cut wasn't something most people would hesitate so long over, or act so serious about. Something clearly was on Jeri's mind that she wasn't saying. "Was there anything else you wanted to talk about?" Takato asked, tilting his head.
Unfortunately though, before Jeri could respond, Guilmon suddenly began growling fiercely, pushing his head into the gate as he stared into the park. "Takato! Digimon!" He growled. Takato had turned his attention right to his partner when he started growling. He didn't need to be told, Guilmon only got like that when there was a digimon emerging. He looked back to Jeri. "We should check it out." He said, opening the gate, letting Guilmon out. The raptor instantly ran out, and Takato was forced to chase him.

Jeri hadn't expected him to give her that kind of answer, blushing somewhat as she looked to the side. Though then he followed with asking her if she had something else she wanted to tell him about. Yet before she could try and once more speak her mind, Guilmon seemed to cause all attention to be shifted towards him, even causing Jeri to snap out of any awkward position she might have been in.
"Um...Right..."
Blinking as she watched Takato and Guilmon run off, the girl turned towards the roof of the shed to see if Gatomon had heard what was happening. The feline was indeed on her feet and was already jumping down to the girl's side. Smiling at her tamer, the feline soon took off running as well, almost leaving Jeri behind as she pursued after the rest of them.

A digital field appeared in the center of the park which was slowly spreading outward, which most people would call a incoming fog. Only a select few would consider it as something much more concerning in nature. With this field, two entities emerged from another world to wreak havoc on its would be inhabitants. One of them looked like an overgrown chicken with red tipped feathers and a gaze that would send many hunters to their graves. "Caaaawww!!!!!" The first sound that Akatorimon made upon emerging in the human world before noticing the field that was surrounding him.
The second creature was something that resembled what most little girls dream of having except they preferred them to be stuffed. Grizzlymon was the size of an actual grizzly bear, but was more tame in nature than them. He was waiting for the field to disperse in order for him to get to finding someone worthy of fighting. The only problem was that Akatorimon wanted to battle now. "Akatori Kick." The bird slammed his foot into a playground toy, which sent it flying through the field. He was ready to cause chaos in the human world before looking for someone to challenge him.
Grizzlymon closed his eyes and waited for a challenger to approach him because he was not interested in wasting his energy on inanimate objects. "This place is as boring as the Digital World, and now I am stuck here with this dodo bird." The bird Digimon was creating enough noise to wake the dead at the moment. This was going to be a fun place to roost for a little while in his mind.
