There were two things that Kazu was not ready to get used to in this world: his mother's cooking and the lack of a flying partner anymore. Hagurumon was cool and all, but traveling around the city with a floating gear was rather lame in his mind. He shrugged though at this thought and remembered that he was still thankful that he had his Digimon buddy back at all. They had only been in one major scrape so far, and it had not turned out as he would have pictured it but no real complaints were made by any of his friends.
He shook his head as his mind was getting off track of what he was supposed to be doing on this wonderful day of his. Kazu was supposed to be picking up some groceries for his mom, who was going to try and cook an actual meal. There was something about this particular idea that made Kazu want to spend the night at Kenta's which was never the safest of things to do because Kenta's snoring could cause someone's head to explode. "Hagurumon, do you think my mom would buy the idea that he store was out of all the things that she asked for?"
The floating collection of gears next to him made this clicking noise, which Kazu assumed was either Hagurumon thinking or being annoying. "It could work, but would your mother make something else with whatever is available?" This was a very good point that Kazu hadn't thought of. The fridge at hsi house did not have much in it at the moment, which meant that his mom might make something out of nothing and that could lead to a few hospital visits.
"I guess we are doomed if we do and doomed if we don't." Kazu placed his hands behind his head as he continued to walk down the street. This day could not get anymore weird even if a random person fell out of the sky. "Doomed if we do and doomed if we don't" Now they were back to the whole repetition of lines by his partner, which was also annoying to Kazu but he just shrugged it off. At least Hagurumon was not trying to modify his sayings into grammatical nightmares.

Jeri walked slowly down the street, both hands holding a large paperbag infront of her. It was so large that she had to look over on the side of it to see where she was going. The day was almost over and the streets seemed pretty empty. It almost made her worry that something was going to jump at her from the darkness. Thankfully, her worries were minor as she knew that Gatomon wasn't too far away. Though the fear of a random digimon attack was never too far from her thoughts.
Yet, the young girl had managed to avoid them by thinking about something else. Like her previous conversation with Takato. She had never thought he would call her beautiful, it just didn't seem like something he would say. Cute maybe, but did he really think she looked beautiful? Jeri soon found herself closing her eyes and giggling while she continued to make her way towards the train station.
As she traveled down the sidewalk, she stopped as she could see a familar pair across the street. It looked like Kazu and Hagurumon, but why were they out in the open together like that? Was it really that dead out here? Struggling to hold the bag of items with one hand, the female waved rapidly towards them.
"Kazu! Hey Kazu!"
In her wave, Jeri quickly had to rebalance the food in both her hands to avoid them from falling to the ground.

Contrary to popular belief, Kazu was very observant of his surroundings. So when Jeri called out his name, he immediately looke her way in time to see her fumbling with the things that she was holding in her hand. He chose not to yell out a reply back that would draw any more attention to himself, but Hagurumon lacked that little bit of common sense that most other people had. "Hey look. It's Jeri. Hi Jeri!"
"Well that was about as conspicuous as a bullhorn. Come on. Lets go over there." Hagurumon had this bewildered look on his face from what Kazu could tell, but it was very hard to perceive any emotion coming from something that looked like Hagurumon. "What did I do wrong? Kazu just rolled his eyes and kept walking toward Jeri, while trying to think of good conversation starters that would be okay for talking to a girl.
Kazu was not really sure what were safe topics for talking to girls about. He remembered one guy in his class asked a girl if she had any chocolate and got a reply of one slap across his face. "So how are things treating you, Jeri? Seen any wild Digimon around lately?" Digimon should be a safe topic to discuss as they were both tamers, so it was sort of like talking about their jobs.

Looking at Kazu with a smile, she shook her head while continuing to hold the large bag up with both her hands. In fact, she had't had any wild digimon attack since the event at the park with Takato. Things had been very quiet, which was great for her. But for Gatomon, it seemed to put her on edge. She was such an overactive digimon. The feline couldn't really sit in her room all day, and at times wanted to go out at night to roam. Which was typical for most cats, but she really couldn't let her wonder off alone.
"Nothing yet...But Im not complaining either....It's getting harder to leave out of the house.."
Jeri still didn't tell her parents about what was happening. It just was something she already knew would start a conflict. It wasn't like she enjoyed lying to them, but it being silent kept the peace, then she would remain mute about the subject of digimon.
"What about you two? Has anything happened?"
Jeri held a blank expression as she looked at the duo from the side of the paper bag, blinking as she waited for a reply.

Kazu was sort of disappointed that there was no real action Digimon wise for the last couple of days. It was getting rather boring sitting around the house, staring at his Digimon cards, and eating food. He really needed to get out more, but there was nothing for him to do outside these days besides watch grass grow and clouds pass by. It seemed that Digimon attacks were isolating themselves to parts of the city that he rarely ventured in nowadays, which probably meant that he was going to have to go out of his way to find something entertaining.
"Nope. It has been as silent as Ms. Asaji's classroom is when she asks a history question."
Jeri's comment about getting out of her house made Kazu wonder what was so difficult about going outside to do stuff. It wasn't like the parents were going to tell them to not do the right thing and protect the city if they ever did find out what they were doing. Heck, his mom would probably be thankful that he was not out causing trouble or something.
"So I am guessing that your parents are not aware of the fact that you have a new Digimon or that Digimon appearances are getting to be as common as some pop diva throwing a tantrum? I wonder how your dad is going to take the news this time."

Jeri narrowed her eyes as she looked down towards the ground. She honestly didn't know how he would react, nor did she want to risk telling them. Jeri had worried him half to death when she was caught up in the D-Reaper, it was to the point where he had risked his life to come and save her. If anything, the girl was positive that his reaction to hearing about her being involved with digimon wouldn't be positive.
"Im...not telling him, so I won't have to find out...."
Her tone had almost been a whisper, though it was held up by a sense of confidence. Jeri wasn't going to tell her parents anything unless she really had to.

Kazu could understand that Jeri was a little hesitant about talking to her dad about Digimon. Nothing good had come from it last time around, so no need to repeat the act again. It was probably for the best anyway. Parents didn't need to be consulted on a matter that they were unfamiliar with anyway. It also meant he wasn't going to get grounded for having a Digimon in the house again, which didn't please his mom last time as Guardromon had squashed her flowers.
"Well that is your choice, but what are you going to do if we do go to the Digital World?"
If Jeri didn't tell her folks, then going to the Digital World would be out of the question for her. It was probably still out of the question for a lot of them, but it was still in the planning stages anyway. The major thing Kazu wondered about was who was going and who was staying behind at this point in the planning stages. They all couldn't go to the Digital World.
"So what are you doing on this lovely day?"

"I....I wasn't going?"
It was a choice she had made from the very start when the topic came up in their last meeting. Jeri had no intention on going back, not unless they really wanted her to go. Sadly, she was certain that they would rather have her here than with them after the events of previously. In truth, she hoped that would be what they said. Out of all the tamers, Jeri didn't consider herself the most capable. Kazu probably stood a better chance than she did on this return trip, they would likely do just fine without her there to cause trouble.
As the subject shifted to what it was that she was doing out, she smiled nervously while nodding her head towards her bag before laughing lightly.
"Just getting some stuff for my dad....What are you two doing?"

Jeri's response to his question seemed a little unsure to Kazu, which meant that she had either previously stated that she wasn't going or she didn't know if she was allowed to go. There was also the alternative that Kazu was just over thinking her response because he didn't know how to really understand what girls were thinking. It was like trying to figure out how to work his mom's new microwave.
He just shrugged off the idea like she did by answering his second question so quickly. It appeared that it was a tender subject that he shouldn't discuss with Jeri, so he would just forget that he brought it up.
"It seems that we are doing the same thing. We have to go and pick up groceries so that my mom can try to cook for us tonight. I have a feeling that I will be in the hospital before sunrise."

"She can't be that bad at cooking can she?"
Jeri smirked while finally sitting the bag down on the ground, stretching her arms in the process. After walking for so long with such a load in her arms, it was relieving to be able to feel somewhat weightless again. It wasn't as if she was going anywhere anytime soon, especially since she was talking. Not to mention that it was unlikely that something would happen to the bag while she was standing beside it. That would just be crazy.
Though as she placed her hands behind her back, she giggled as she could imagine Kazu in the hospital due to indigestion. It was quite the silly image.
