The clap of her heels against the floor echoed through the empty hall. Gaze focused down upon a piece of paper in her hands, the young woman smiled as she approached the meeting hall. Her problems for the month had decreased by 2, which made her remaining list at 97. Still, the lost of two issues had quite the impact. Megane was smiling after all. Which was a good thing for everyone that worked under her. When she was happy, they needn't fear her wrath. The two problems that had been solved was mostly due to the staff that worked within electronic security. They had managed to trace and delete about 100 possible bio-merging digimon before they had actually created a Digital field. It was a small victory when she considered the thousands that got through every day, but it was step in the right direction. They were a good group, fresh minds and quick thinking skills. She was almost envious that their abilities within that room surpassed her own. The second victory came from none other than Laurence. his mission had been a success in a sense. The girl had fallen in, just like she thought she would. Did she feel guilty for tricking her somewhat? Not in the least. It was her own fault, and likely the parents as well. They hadn't sought out better care for the child, her profile just screamed therapy. Besides, if she felt guilty for every hard choice she made, Megane would be in a psych ward. In the end, her decisions, cold as they were, benefited their agency and its efforts. Their work was to protect the world from these monsters, and to gather information on their world and structure. She had seen first hand the capabilities hidden within their data. Eternal life, no sickness, the cure for all diseases. But of course, she wasn't the sole reason for this knowledge. It was thanks to Yamaki and those fools that created these monsters. Their information upon the events of D-Reaper had been what gave them the knowledge that humans could merge with these creatures, if the right requirements were met. That was the reason she wanted Jeri. That and free labor isn't bad either....Walking into the room, Megane took her place at the head of the table, looking to the door as she awaited the rest of her team to enter.

Larry moved slowly down the corridor which lead to the boss's office, looking at the watch in his hand, his steps resonating with how the arrow moved. Step, click, step, click, step... No, he wasn't late, and he did not have plenty of time left either. He was coming right on time, second in second. There was a reason for that though, and a pretty good one at that, well, from his perspective. Other people would actually find it funny.
Larry did not want to come in first. The reason was laughable. If he were the first one to come inside, it would usually take others several minutes to come around, and spending this time alone with the boss ... well, he didn't like it. She usually would make several snide remarks about his work or make him remember that she knows about what he did, or something else. Add to that the death threat she gave him some time ago considering it, and you'll understand why he felt more alienated, and tried avoiding the woman if it was possible. However, now it wasn't possible.
Tick-tock-tick-tock... He was already at the door, but he still was a minute early. So he spent that time standing at the closed door, waiting, hoping someone else would show up. But his luck was dreadful today, nobody came, and those 60 seconds went by very quickly. Figuring he should enter, now Larry sighed and grabbed the door knob. Hello, face-eater... - he thought upon entering...
He entered exactly at 12.00 am, right on time, as usual. Unfortunately for him, the cabinet was empty, sae for his boss who sat at the head of the table, waiting obviously. Oh, how fortunate of me... - he thought warily, cursing his bad luck, and gave a military salute, before saying with a calm expression on his face:
- You summoned me, boss?

"Glad to see you arrive on time Laurence....Disappointing that its just you and the rest have yet to make an appearance..."
Megane looked towards the agent before pulling out a binder and looking through it. His previous mission had gone very well, which was impressive. She had expected him to choke under the pressure. But while he still had to keep in an eye on their newest agent, she had no intention of just letting him set around and do nothing.
"I was hoping to go over some progress reports with everyone, but if they don't wish to come in on time, I will not waste my time on them. I'll just deal with each of them separately and...harshly. But as for you...I would like you to perform another mission for our organization...if your up to it..."

- Tell me what I have to do, and I'll have it done, boss. - Larry replied with one of his stock phrases as he pulled a chair for himself and sat at the far corner of the table. His face did not change his expression in the slightest, he just kept his sarcastic remarks inside. - "If you're up for it...", yeah right. As if I can say "No". Rhetoric question really. Something like that could get me demoted ... or worse. - he thought, but kept it to himself.
- Akira and Alice are in the other part of the country regarding tracking digimon who managed to escape and went in that direction. As for Khrystaline ... I do not know where she is at the moment. Maybe she accidentally found herself alone on her way here ... with that crippling disability of hers... - he made an assumption for why the rest were missing. Still, he was here, so he shouldn't get in trouble.
- In any case ... what would my task be? - he asked, pulling his glasses back up and placing the hands on the table, looking at the boss again. She had his full attention now.

Was the the truth? Megane would like have to check on these reasons later to be sure. But Laurence was here at least. But even his talent was limited in his current position. After all, he had no digimon to protect him, and if trouble were to arise, he would only have a select few weapons to help. While there was the personal armed military, she didn't want a scene to be made over one wild one.
"Very well...Since it is just you...I want you to look into a certain digimon that has moved into the Slums. It ogre of some-kind, not the best looking creature to emerge, but then not all of them are lookers. At any rate, he needs to be captured and brought back here. I'd rather he were to arrive without getting noticed. But considering the fact that he is a rather big fellow, Im sending you with a monster that...volunteered it's service for a green card into our world..."
Standing up, the young woman pointed towards the door with her pen as she held a serious expression.
"I want the creature brought back alive....and don't lose it Laurence. You're already on thin ice....Wouldn't want you to fall through..."

- Capture a digimon? Alright, I can do that. You need him intact, or ... partially intact? - Larry asked, his voice sounded emotionless. So this was not one of the average missions she gave him recently, like "go scare that tamer" or something of such kind. This one promised to be a little more fun. He wasn't going to show any mercy to the vermin invader, and asked the question to know how badly he could damage the monster. If she needed to interrogate the creature ... well, she did not need his eyes, or legs, or arms... Or other parts of the body...
However, he did not expect his boss to say that ... a collaborator digimon would help him with this. Really? REALLY?! Why not just give him a squad of troops with stun guns to deal with it? How could she even think about cooperating with the enemy? If she weren't the leader of the organization, she probably would have been punished for treasonous actions. Larry gave her a bewildered glare before looking at the door, wishing to see what kind of vermin scum would be supposed to help him out...

Moment Music"Don't you pay attention human...She wants it alive. So of course, we bring it back fully in tact. Sometimes I can't help but wonder how it is I was captured by such pitiful creatures..You simply don't..."The digimon voice was silenced as she saw the gaze in Megane's eyes. Out of all the humans she had encountered, this one she did fear. Because it was Megane that had caught her, and brought her over into Hypnos side. She had been apart of the few digimon within the program, one of the Senior Six. But of course, she only trusted her this far because she had been keeping her end of their agreement. Arukenimon, the Spider Queen, forced to serve in order to stay alive. Placing her purple shades back over her eyes, the human-like digimon smirked as she turned her attention towards Laurence. Tilting her hat, she laughed before turning herself around as she walked out the door. "I'll be waiting by the car...I'll drive thank you...."

- Guess they need it for reasons other than interrogation. Unfortunately... - Larry sighed out upon seeing the weird creepy lady. It took all of his self-control to hold a clam expression and not grab a gun from his inner pocket and start shooting at this ... digimon. Yeah, that's for sure, she was a digimon. Since humans don't call other humans "humans", forgive me for redundancy. As for Larry, he started doubting boss's decisions from the moment she mentioned collaborators. THIS was a collaborator? Jesus freaking Christ! Was she serious? Keeping the screams inside, Larry took out his digivice, which beeped upon the woman's entrance, and soon it gave out the data regarding arukenimon. Larry whistled.
- What a ... charming specimen you have here working for you boss. I sincerely hope that one has a bomb planted somewhere on her. Because an ultimate is a hard thing to take down, especially one who knows where our HQ is... - he said with a bit of sarcasm, voicing his doubts about the whole masquerade. To offer an opinion - that was the least he could do. And if someone would ask even more for his opinion, he'd rather have that lady against the wall, with a firing squad behind her. But that was just him, fighting digimon on daily basis created a solid dislike for their species as a whole. Save for clones, of course. They were allies.
- So... - Larry started, and turned to face his boss again, who did not say a word since the appearance of the weird digimon. - ... I guess my job would be to come up with a tactical plan for arukenimon and oversee the target's capture? - he asked, voice calm and face expression to match. He was not playing silly with that question, it was just a more educated way of asking "why my presence is necessary?" since said digimon looked apt enough to come up with a plan of her own and execute it without him watching over her. Larry thought that this also might be either a test, or ... an elaborate way to get rid of him. Either way, he did not like it. But once more, all of his suspicions and complaints were left buried within him, mask of eerie calmness present at all times. Comes with being an officer within such an organization - they had no place for weaklings...

((Guys, I was waiting on observer to post before I posted for Khrys >_<.))
Oh crap. Oh crap crap crap.
Khrys was running at breakneck speed through the Hypnos HQ, with BlackMonodramon just barely keeping up with her as she bolted past numerous other workers. After an exhausting day yesterday dealing with a load of digimon spawns, Khrys and Monodramon had managed to sleep right through her alarm going off, and hadn't even gotten the message from the commander until after she had finally woken up hours after she should have been awake, and was now rushing to make this meeting.
She was late, very late. Why did Larry not wake her? Call her? SOMETHING? She shoved away the urge to slap her squad leader as she approached the door and crashed right through it, and stopping suddenly as she fell in next to Larry, hunched over so that her hands were planted on her knees as she attempted to catch her breath. Monodramon wasn't looking much better than her. "I'm... very... sorry! So much... work... Late night.... Alarm clock... is crap... Someone let me sleep in..." She gasped, darting a sharp look at Larry, before looking around the room and when she noticed the newcomer and she bolted straight up. "Uhhh... What did I miss?"

Just as Megane was about to explain just what it was Laurence was to do, another agent appeared through the doorway. Tapping her fingertips against the surface of the table while hearing the late female's excuse, the head of the agency rolled her eyes before putting one finger to her lips to silence her. Upon doing this, she then returned her gaze towards the senior operative.
"She's more than capable of handling things if thats what you mean, the issue is that I would like it to be returned alive. Most digimon prefer to simply take the data. Supervision is sometimes required to make sure that doesn't happen, which is where you come in. Think of it as.....baby sitting, except that the baby is able to kill you without a second thought....or would be able to..."
Megane smirked as she sat down before pointing towards a file infront of her.
"The Moderators have come up with some new techniques to ensure that they stay in line and do as their told...What the method is doesn't need to be disclosed, least of all to you Laurence. I'm afraid that my trust in you is...rather shaken...as of late"
Her tone was sarcastic. The older female didn't trust anyone really. But Laurence and his attempts at growing a conscience as of late had her questioning his abilities to be apart of Hypnos. He was good, of course, but there were plenty that could replace him if need be. Though as long as he did his work, she would allow him back within her good graces. Yet for the moment, she was watching him like a hawk.
"You better hurry Laurence...Its never a good first impression to be late...Digimon or not, she is a female..." With that said, Megane turned her attention towards Khrystalline and her Blk.Monodramon.
"As for you two.....Tardiness is tardiness. For that, you'll be helping within Adminstration room for a week...serving coffee. But talk of your punishment can be left for later...I have a mission for you..."
