Why him?
He didn't know why, he didn't know what he'd done wrong. They just didn't like him as much as they did his brother. While they mooned over the handsome young Kapurimon, treating him like some amazing gem, the Frimon suddenly became part of the background. Nothing worth looking at. If it was necessary to eat in the digital world, he would have starved to death long before he reached rookie level.
Yet, when it seemed Frimon's life couldn't possibly get any worse, his digivolution to rookie level made things even more worse than worse. His resentful feelings for his caretakers had boiled inside him, and now the effects showed on the surface. He had digivolved into BlackLeormon. This evolution had him kicked out of their home completely, labeled as an evil digimon, a demon.
He had ran that night. As far as possible. Away from Jijimon and Babamon's house, away from everything. Now he was wandering the forest, alone. Away from his brother. He resented his brother for always being the favorite, but he knew he couldn't help it, and he couldn't bring himself to hate his brother, no matter what treatment he got.
The black lion like digimon sat down by a stream, staring dolefully at his reflection. Am I really a bad digimon? He wondered. He didn't feel like a bad digimon. He felt alone and unloved. He missed his brother, though he could not return to him. He wouldn't. He never wanted to see Babamon and Jijimon ever again. Stratimon may have thought they were great, but he sure didn't.

Salamon looked up at the trees which were towering over her, making her feel uncomfortably small. On her face she held a frown, which was usually her expression everyday, you rarely ever see her give a smile. She just didn't have it in her to do so. You can mostly say she was a depressed little Digimon, and also serious, which was a bad combination all together. Walking with her head held low, she followed the scent of water and food. She wanted to find both since she hadn't eaten much today. Her stomach kept growling, which annoyed her, and the pain from it did as well.
Seeing she wasn't really getting anywhere soon walking, she decided to quicken her pace a bit. And as she did, the scent of water became stronger, and she could feel the ground under her paws grow moist and soft even. This all indicated water, and she soon heard the sound of the river. These hints were enough to allow Salamon to go toward the direction of the river easily.
"Hm..." She crawled into a near by bush, wanting to make sure any Digimon were near before she drank. Peeking threw it she saw the shadowy figure of something in the distance. A Digimon, she thought. Salamon winced, straining her eyes to get a better view of the unknown Digimon. His appearance was cat like, and he was a black color. Salamon never saw a Digimon like this one, but she could tell it wasn't dangerous. She just hoped it wasn't. Being a small Digimon such as herself, she had to be wary of anything around her.
Taking a careful step out of the bush, she walked out of it slowly, and glanced toward the direction of the Digimon constantly. When she was sitting at the edge of the river now, she looked down at her reflection. What she saw was a Salamon, what she wanted to see was a Gatomon, but she would have to wait for that. Sighing, Salamon took a small drink of the water, hardly caring if the Digimon had noticed her yet.

BlackLeormon just sat there, not imagining having much else to do than feel sorry for himself. Why was he even alive? No one wanted him, he had no one. He was no one. Just some dark shadow shunned by those who had once taken him in. Frustrated, he swiped a paw at the water, causing his reflection to shatter in the resulting ripples to later reform again, showing the same black lion like digimon he was. I don't want to be a bad digimon. I won't
Having enough, he finally looked up from the water, to spot another digimon near him to his surprise. He thought he was alone here. He didn't think anyone wanted to be near him. Maybe she hadn't noticed him here? That was probably it. She was going to look up, then run away as far as she could get from him. BlackLeormon stood there quietly watching the Salamon drink, fearful of getting her attention in case she did run.
But it was killing him to just stand there and watch. He wanted friendship so much, but he was terrified of being called a demon. He wasn't a demon! He was a normal digimon just like his brother. But very few people seemed to see him for who he was. Just saw the black pelt and crimson eyes, and automatically assumed the worst. It was easier to just stand and watch. But he felt terribly alone, and he would always be alone if he didn't try. "Erm... H-hello. I'm BlackLeormon, w-what's your name?" he stammered, flicking his tail nervously.

Mushroomon had arrived into the forest after coming from a trip to the Badlands Oasis, he returned as quickly as he could, he couldn't leave the forest unattended for too long. When he entered he began to sniff the area, there were visitors... Visitors or intruders, it all depended on their reason for entering the forest, may it a good, non-destructive one they were welcome as long as they kept their respect for the forest. If it was a bad, destructive reason and defiled the forest they would be punished by the forest and all its inhabitants, including the Guardian of Wood. He caught the scent of the digimon who had just recently entered, despite being a overgrown mushroom he had an amazing sense of smell.
He saw the two near the river, they weren't doing anything evil looking, although one of them did seem the shady type, maybe he should ask before jumping to conclusions. Yet he was one to hastily judge and generalize digimon, Mushroomon had just come from a relaxing oasis though and wasn't all the alert at the moment, he decided rather than jumping to a possibly incorrect conclusion he would ask, hoping that no issues would arise. "Hello, I take that you two are new? How'ya doing?" He looked at them waiting for a response.

It had been some time since Zero had traveled somewhere. He had left himself in his DemiVeemon form, since he had found no reason to digivolve otherwise. With each step he took, he found himself getting lost in the vast digi world. He wasn’t sure where exactly he would end up, but after a few more steps, he had found himself near a lake, and happily bounced near the edge of the lake.
“Tasty, Tasty, Tasty!~”
Zero pushed his face into the water and began to take gigantic gulps. It seemed as if he was slowly suffocating himself, but Zero was enjoying himself. Even though he was over the top, he had to stop at one point. After a good couple of drinks, Zero walked over towards the digimon that had grouped up. He hadn’t really seen that many digimon, but he quickly grasped his pendant and placed a cheerful smile on his own face.
“Hai! I’m Zero, nice to meet ya’!”

Ears perking at the sound of the Digimon's voice, the Salamon slowly slid into a sitting position. Wow, she thought. Now that she had time to look at the Digimon more, she soon realized it was a virus attribute Digimon. That breed of Digimon always caught her attention, and she gave a curious face as she gazed at him a little. His red eyes and black pelt seem to match him, she wasn't sure if ti matched his personality though.
"I'm Salamon," she said, she gave a nod of greeting, but didn't bother to smile. As she was about to say something else, she caught the strong scent of another Digimon. Salamon looked toward the direction the odd scent was coming from, and couldn't help but give a growl. Every time something came unexpectedly, she always was on the edge, it could be anyone or thing. She forced herself to quiet down as the Digimon appeared. She only blinked in surprised at what did appear, a Mushroomon? She gave a smirk.
"Well.. I suppose that's not any of your business, is it?" Salamon cooed. She suspected the Mushroomon was unsure of the BlackLeormon by his appearance. But just look at her, she was small, cute, and she didn't look like much of a threat, maybe. She then gave the Mushroomon a hateful look before turning away from both.
"Now, I better had get going, better things to do then talk to a mushroom," Salamon said, hoping to make a exit soon. It was then she noticed the small DemiVeemon taking a drink of water itself, then just got up and walked over to them. Hmm, maybe I could have fun with this. She did not realize at all that the Mushroomon was important, she just thought it was like any other Digimon in the forest, not important or needed, just like her.
"Grrr," Salamon then sprinted towards the cute Digimon without warning. "Sledge Crash!" She was aiming the head but it, maybe knock it out of her way. Her excuse? The little brat was in her way, what else could she do? Ask? Yeah right.

BlackLeormon waited anxiously for the Salamon's response, his tail flicking faster and faster by the second. Would she run from him? To his surprise, she didn't move at all when she saw him. Instead, she had responded to his question, calling herself Salamon. His tail stoped flicking and now curled higher with a new surge of confidence this success had given him. He opened his mouth to speak again, but was interrupted by the arrival of a fungus like digimon, who cut into the conversation.
Salamon however, didn't seem to happy to see the digimon though. She told him it wasn't his business, and said she had better things to do than talk to a mushroom before stalking off. BlackLeormon could only shrug at Mushroomon in regards to the female's behavior. He had only just met her, so he really didn't know what her problem was. "I'm okay I guess. Just walking around, I don't really have any place to go." He responded, his tail drooping again, as his confidence waned once more.
Their conversation however, was cut short, as Salamon had suddenly attacked a DemiVeemon who had come to the river to drink. BlackLeormon hadn't noticed him arrive, but he knew wrong from right, and this was definitely wrong. He dashed for the two as fast as his paws would allow. He wasn't in time to block the attack, but he was able to put himself between them to prevent Salamon from further abusing the smaller digimon. "Hey! That was uncalled for!" He growled, his fur beginning to stand on end, making him appear much larger.

Mushroomon watched as things played out, the Salamon was quite rude... possibly rude enough to be kicked out of the forest, he didn't take kindly to impolite brats... Mushroomon was far more powerful than he often showed. Of course he just liked staying in his rookie form, it allowed him to bond more easily with the forest Digimon, they could feel more comfortable around a digimon aruond their same level, rather than fearing a powerful Guardian of the Forest. He wanted them to feel comfortable, the forest was suppose to be a relaxing place, which he tried to keep it as so. His job included though, keeping those who might very well disturb that peace... He tried his best to keep his identity as the Guardian of Wood a secret, so he would merely seem as a normal mushroomon, this wasn't a major issue and didn't require him to digivolve.
He was going to handle this in a non-violent way, afterall why fight when you can... Laugh? "I guess it is my buisness Salamon, I live here, as do several other Digimon, they won't take kindly to your behavior... it might lead to your own deletion... if they get angry enough, several ultimates and mega level digimon live here and dislike rude visitors..." He said this with a calm, neutral tone, not exactly threatening her, but rather just warning her that if she continued her behavior it might end badly. She contniued her rude behavior, even going out to attack a poor DemiVeemon, Mushroomon was going to take action, or rather laughter?
From the ground several mushrooms grew from his power, instantly growing from nowhere. Small mushrooms, mushrooms with a face on it, they had a devilish grin painted onto the stalk, he pulled them from the ground and as the Salamon was walking away he plucked all of them from the ground, holding them in his hands. He tossed them at the Salamon, in a large aerial barrage, she needed to loosen up and laugh. The Mushrooms fell directly in front of her exploding into humongous clouds of spores and gases. These clouds were of laughing gas, capable of making one laugh uncontrollably, it would hurt so bad to laugh without stop, she needed a good long laugh, possibly till he decided to hand over the antidote?

Holding on to his pendant, Zero quickly moved out of the Salamons attack. In his mind, he had believed that the pendant had always provided him with strength and courage, but it in reality, he was just as strong as he would never imagine. He quickly looked up towards the Salamon, with a mutual anger towards her. Rage had slowly began to consume him, who was she to attack him, a smaller, weaker digimon and the anger began to boil within him. “You big bully! If I could, I would…I would…” Strength had begun to tap inside of Zero’s body. It slowly began to engulf him, consume him in a way that he had never imagined. He wasn’t sure what was going on, but he was almost a hundred percent sure that he was digivolving. The pendant had begun to let out a faint glow as Zero began to slowly lose his color as well as his form. “DemiVeemon, digivolve to!”Zero’s data had begun to rip from his body. It quickly vanished into the air, releasing itself into the digital world, drifting slowly into the air. It had given him a strange sensation, somewhere between pain and release, but data had begun to rebirth into his body, as Zero had slowly had begun to absorb a different form. His body had begun to grow in stature and in form, and in a matter of seconds his body had taken a completely new form. “Veemon!” Zero stared down into his hands. He had never felt such power forcing inside of his body, and he felt like he could overcome any obstacle he had. He gave Salamon a stern look and let out a menacing howl towards her. “Picking on younger, weaker digimon is a sign of pure evil…”

Salamon forced herself to skid to a stop at the BlackLeormon, she glanced down at the water right next together then, knowing if she didn't watch where she was going she would slip in easily. She looked back at the BlackLeormon, narrowing his eyes at him. Why exactly would he care that she attacked a small Digimon such as this. She was bigger, and a little stronger even, she should at least have the right to abuse those weaker then her. Salamon's reason for doing this is mostly out of boredom, she had spent most of her time alone and doing nothing, at least this spiced up the day a little more.
Backing away, and starting to pass the Mushroomon gave her words of advise, but they looked like they fell on deaf ears. She wasn't fazed by his words at all, Salamon just stopped for a moment, then continued. She would do whatever she wanted while she was here, she was planning to cause at least some damage, maybe take what she needed before she left. She didn't show it, but she was tired, and didn't feel like a lecture right about now. So she just decided it was best to take her leave.
"Huh?" She felt something bop against her head, and almost automatically gave a scowl. Was that Digimon throwing stuff at her? "What are you-?" Salamon wasn't able to finish her question before she heard a miniature explosion, and then smelled the scent of it. It smelled oddly sweet, and she took the time to inhale it even unaware of it's effects. She felt herself have the urge to giggle then, and it came unexpectedly. Salamon had not laughed in a long while, you can mostly see why by her personality she showed all ready.
"Heh... heh..." Salamon's small giggles soon formed into a hearty uncontrollable laughter. "Hahahhahaha!" Realizing what was happening, she attempted to close her mouth and force the laughter to be shut off for a few moments, but when she couldn't hold it anymore she went into a fit of giggles and laughter. Tears starting to well in her eyes, she tried to think of a solution, or cure of these laughs soon. Forgetting all about the river beside her, she stumbled sideways.
"Hahahaha- Whoa!" Falling into the river, and hitting her shin in the process, the Salamon floundered for a moment in the water. Swallowing some much needed water, her laughing stopped and was soon replaced with irritated noises. Looking at the small Digimon, she soon saw it was Digivolving, but he didn't care about this one bit, someone was going to p most defiantly.
"Evil, eh?" Salamon pulled herself out of the water, giving a gasp of relief as she shook away the water. "I'll show you evil! You may be bigger but I'm still going to take-you-down," Salamon growled, and she meant every word of that. She was already close to the newly evolved Digimon, so she decided one move may be effective right now. "Petit Punch!" She turned on a dine, and then kicked at the Digimon with her hind legs to push him over.
