The Bad, Bad, Badlands

Dex and Mini wandered through the badlands, the human gazing around at all the rocky peaks that raised themselves up into the sky. He had never gotten outside tokyo much, so he hadn't really seen natural marvels such as these outside television and school books. Of course, the odd thing to think about was that none of this was 'natural'. The entire digital world was human-made, in a way.

"You know..." Mini told Dex as they walked along, aimlessly kicking a rock as they continued to no particular place "Maybe... Maybe we should just move here..."

"Live in the digital world full-time?" Dex said, glancing over at his partner "A city boy like you? Even the digital worlds civilized areas arn't too comparable with the ones you humans got goin for ya."

"Well, yah, I know that..." The boy said, chuckling a bit "But we got status, ya know? You said it yourself, after all. Ol' Omni wouldn't dare treat us bad, seeing as we are some of his most valuable assets. I see the way digimon act when the two of us are walking down the city streets. They don't even want to make eye contact with you. They know we are in charge here."

"Heh... true kid." The black-furred Dorumon replied "Kazai has managed for a hell of a lot longer then you have... god it bugged me, thinking of how having a tamer instantly made that rat with wings 'better' then me... Though I had an odd feeling I would get one too. Kind of wierd, like a small thought in the back of my head... but I felt like I would. If Omni' wasn't the only way into the human world to FIND said tamer, I never would have paired with him in the first place..."

"Because you like being your own boss." Mini continued off his partner "And thats why I want to stay here. Leave my idiot brother and parents behind. I don't need em. Especially that brother of mine..."

"Ah... you seem to be much more resentful then I recall when I first met you..." Dex said, chuckling "Perhaps my attitude is rubbing off on you?"

"Nah... I think ive always felt like this." Mini replied, and laughed a bit "But with you by my side, I guess I finally have the courage to come out and say it..."

[kusan]

Kusan was wandering around the lands, commonly known as the bad lands. He didn't like to travel in his rookie form as it looked less intimidating and wouldn't be able to destroy and slaughter his enemy. So because of that he was wandering as DexDorugamon and was holding a very large scythe, actually a total of 10 feet, and he holds it in the middle, two feet below the lower edge, and if he ever held it with both hands, there be four feet above that. He was currently holding it with just his left hand and was destroying rocks along the way. As he was walking, he noticed in the distance there was a Dorumon and, what was that... A TAMER!!!! How could someone of his own, team up with a useless tamer? He hid behind a large massive boulder, waiting for them to get close and he will them tear them both to shreds!

The digimon and his boy continued onward, conversing about random things, nothing of any importance. Dex could feel something... off, however. Kind of an eerie silence type of deal. They approached the boulder that Kusan was hiding behind, and Dex stopped, grabbing onto his humans sweater and pulling him back.

"Wait kid." He said plainly, the fur on his back standing up, his eyes narrowing. Minato could tell something was wrong, and reached into his pockets. This might seem like a harmless gesture, but he was gripping onto the digivice and cards within their respective pockets. Dex sniffed the air. He could tell something was near. "Whatever or whoever the hell you are, I advise you come out." He demanded, smelling something nearby "Or im gonna have to come in there and find you myself..."

Kusan grined, well, not really since their jaw ain't very flexible, but if he could he would, and he was kinda happy. So, they found me. Maybe this digimon ain't useless, I shall recruit him and have him be my underling. Maybe we can together take over the digital world and then destroy those pitiful humans. But first, he needs to test his strength. He walked out from out of hiding and looked down on the two people. "Yall are pathetic." [/b] [/color] He glared at the human. "You wouldn't be able survive in this world with your partner, we could easily rip your head off. So, I suggest both of you get down your knees, beg for your life, and pledge your allegience to me." [/b] [/color] He the glared at the at Dorumon and he swung his scythe at him, attempting to get him at the side and toss him into a giant rock. These people are weak, I shall destroy them both!

Mini observed as the digimon revealed itself. Indeed, it was quite fearsome looking, black furred and adorned with all types of metals, and yet, eerily familliar. Regardless, he was not afraid, because the look of determination on Dex's face had not faded.

"A member of my own race huh? I thought you smelled familliar..." Dex said, smirking as Kusan revealed himself "Ill have to agree with ya there. Humans are whimps. They hide in their little homes and let their machines do everything for them, never taking things into their own hands. But they got their uses." Mini smirked. He had to agree with his partner. Compared to digimon, he barely did anything. "You and I sound like we could be buddies... if it wernt for one problem..." Dex made a quick jump backwards, the Scythe only cutting through the air where his body had once been, now a foot or so behind the blast. "I don't beg. For anything. To anyone. Metal Cannon!" He shouted, and shot a metal sphere at his evolution.

Kusan looked at the little Dorumon. "I shall rip you to shreds then! You can't possibly defeat me!" [/color] He swung his scythe up and then downwards in a striaght motion, knocking the metal ball to the ground. He then tossed his scythe to the side and out of the way. "Your to weak to waste my weapon on!" [/color] He struck his arm down and tried to claw at him with arms and then snapped down to bite him and crush his neck. He hasn't even gone all out yet, he was still testing him. Once he was able to lay a decent hit on him, then he would go all out and destroy him.

Dex had never planned for his metal cannon to hit. Like the champion, he too was attempting to gage his opponents strength, and had doubted heavily the chances of his attack hitting. Mini's hands were still in his pockets, gripping his cards should he need them. He wouldn't aid until his digimon instructed him to though.

Dex gracefully avoided each of the claw swings, barely swooshing the air outside his body, but missing all the less, and when the champion came down to chomp on him, he ducked, Kusan's head flying above his, Dex aiming a headbutt right to the champions gut to knock him back a ways...
