"I never thought that I'd ever be using these again! I mean! I haven't even looked at half of these cards I found in my dad's room..."
Jeri sat on her knees under a tree, looking down at the small gathering of Digimon cards. They weren't much, especially considering the collection he had once before. But then, after what had happened, she understood why her father would attempt to get rid of everything related to digimon. Yet, right now the girl couldn't just sit by and let her friends take care of everything...Not when she could help out too.
Shifting her gaze towards Salamon, the digimon just smiled as it then lowered its head and sniffed at the paper cards scattered along the grass. The good thing about her partner's appearance was that it resembled a dog so perfectly. With this, it made talking to her much easier. Although, just to be safe, Jeri had made sure that they were seated a great distance away from any of the main attractions of the park. In fact...if she was right, they were right where everyone had said goodbye to their digmon partners....Where she last saw Calumon...
Calumon...Please be safe...I promise I'll find you...

Rika sat before Jeri with her legs folded. She too was carefully going through her deck. Now that Digimon had returned to the Human world, it was without a doubt that the group would have to fight once again as the tamers they were. The cards would be an integral part in completing this task. It was for this reason that they would need to get their decks to the strongest fighting capacity possible.
"Well, Jeri, if you need to borrow any of my cards, that's fine, but I really don't think I have anything that would help balance your deck anymore than what it already is," Rika said rather sincerely. Even she didn't have many cards to spare at the time. Although Digimon had once been a hobby of hers, and she had gained the title of the Digimon Queen, ever since Renamon had left she had stopped focusing on playing Digimon. It wasn't the same anymore, or maybe she was simply growing up
"You've got some really nice cards though," Rika said with a cheerful smile. She always seemed to be in a good mood, at least since Renamon had returned to her. It felt as though the hole in her heart had been filled, although Rika knew Renamon was always there with her, even when she couldn't see her. Still, it felt so much better when Renamon was actually there with her.

"You think so?"
Smiling back towards her friend, Jeri giggled as she picked up one of the cards, lifting it to the level of her eye. It was funny, it was exactly the same card she had used in her dream...No, it was way too real to be a dream. While she may have had a hard time believing it, Salamon had indeed appeared inside her mind, and it was through scaning this card that she'd had become a reality.
But then...does that mean there is more than one way to get from the digital world?
If anything, it didn't matter now. Her partner was here, and she had to become stronger. She made a promise to herself to do so. The girl wasn't sure if she could handle losing another close friend. It might lead to her losing her mind. Not to say that she didn't last time, but perhaps for good if repeated.
"Well...I did learn from the best teacher..."

"Thanks Jeri," Rika said warmly as she began to straighten her stakc of cards and get them organized again. Hopefully she wouldn't have to use them, although in all honesty, she was actually excited to get the chance to be a tamer and unite with Renamon once again. She had missed all of the adventures that they had had as a team and wanted nothing more than to get the chance to explore the world with Renamon for a second time.
"Where is that goggle-head?" Rika asked as she put her cards back into her deck-holster. She had been expecting to meet up with him for some time. They needed the whole team back together so they could discuss what was going on. She wondered how many of them had met their digimon. From what she knew so far, it was only herself, Jeri, Takato, and Henry, but perhaps more of the tamers had reunited with their Digimon. Suzie, Kenta, and Kazu were the three whom she did not yet know the specifics of their partner's location. Most importantly, they needed to know why the Digimon were returning to the human world.
"You two got out of school at the same time, didn't you?"

Takato walked through Shinjuku not really noticing anything. It was the same as usual. Why did it not seem strange to him that Guilmon was walking right next to him in the open. He once would have him hide in a box or dress him up as a human, but now, he saw no reason in it. Why have Guilmon pretend to be something that he wasn't? It was just making Guilmon self esteem lower.
Takato reached into his pocket and grabbed his digivice and scanned it over once. Digimon had returned. Did that mean something bad was happening again, or was it just the kids need for a companion that called them back. It was eating away at him, if he and Guilmon were meant to team up again to fight some evil, would it mean that he would leave him again?
Takato looked up when he heard the familiar phrase of Goggle head. There was only one person he had ever meet who said that phrase. Rika. He looked to the left then to the right to see Rika and Jeri both under a tree looking at their digimon cards. He slowly started to walk over there with Guilmon chasing a butterfly that caught his attention. "So who is this goggle-head that you speak of Digimon Queen?" said Takato speaking to Rika before looking at Jeri. "Hey Jeri, whatsup?"

Jeri was just about to answer Rika's question, but then the person in question had appeared before them. A smile appeared as she waved towards the boy. It only been a week since their little...talk, yet it still was fresh within her mind. What was it that she was trying to say before? Perhaps it would be best not to think of it right then. Maybe at another time.
"Hello Takato! Im glad you made it..."

"Well, speak of the Devil," Rika said, not taking a moment to look up from the card holster she held in her hand. She then placed her holster back onto her belt for safekeeping. Now that Takato was there, they would only need for Henry to show up as well, and the majority of the gang would be together. Considering Kazu and Kenta hadn't yet received their Digimon partners back yet, Rika didn't really think it was entirely necessary for them to be there yet. After all, they would only want to get involved in whatever was going on, and that could be dangerous. They really needed more information before they made such a decision, and they really needed to analyze this situation.
"So you finally decided to show up," Rika said to him, finally turning to see that he stood there with his Guilmon. She smirked momentarily, but it quickly faded away. She began to wonder what kind of things Takato and Guilmon had been up to recently. Hopefully they weren't parading around and letting everyone know that Digimon had returned, but simply judging by the fact that Guilmon wasn't already in the park before them, Rika had come to that deduction.

Takato faced a small shade of red when hearing Jeri's voice. It reminded him of his last conversation with her. It had ended rather quickly last time, but he wasn't sure exactly what was going on or what she was trying to say. But he just knew he needed to feel embarrassed. Heput his arms behind his head and said, "So why are you people here?"
Takato gave a slight shiver and looked over at Rika. he kept getting the feeling that his death was inevitable and the one who would kill him was Rika. Seriously, he just kept getting this bad feeling that she would attack him and he didn't even know why.

"Well, it has nothing to do with the digimon returning, I am sure." Another familliar voice said sarcastically. Henry was just coming upon the group, with Terriermon upon his sholder. Both were smiling as they approached the group. Ever since his digimon had came back, Henry could not help but be in a good mood. Before he had called his partner too carefree, but after losing that cheerfulness before, he had came to realize what he was missing. Now he joined in with the good spirits, even though the digimon returning probably wasn't as good of a sign as he would like it to be.
"Nice ta have everyone back together again, isnt it?" His partner said happily, greeting the others.

"Almost everyone...We still need Ryo, Kenta and Kazu to be a complete set..."
Jeri did love the regrouping of her friends. It seemed almost like forever since they'd been all in place. After the events of two years back, it was like they had all fallen apart, her especially. But, with things becoming as dangerous as before, as well as with the inclusion of the new uprising tamers, it seemed like they would all need to pull together once more.
I have to be stronger....I can't let Takato and the others down...
