”Caution is a rather good trait to have,” Tapirmon responded as the Gazimon backed off. The statement about evil being subjective threw Tapirmon off a little bit. He found things to be a bit more concrete in what good and evil were. He wasn’t too concrete in it, however; given time, he could usually figure out the ulterior motives of people he assisted. At the moment these two seem to be on the side of good as they had stepped in to save the human boy…speaking of which.
As Kichiro’s MP3 player glowed, Tapirmon turned to face it. The Gazimon made some comment on how he knew that he wasn’t a bad guy now, and as the glow faded Tapirmon could see why; the boy had a Digivice now. And since he was the only other Digimon around at the moment, he was most likely the boy’s partner. He knew it! By Azulongmon’s graces he had been brought here to find a human partner and defend the world from evil! Rushing over to the boy, who still seemed a little dumbstruck at the scene, he bowed down on his cloud-knee thing.
”I swear my loyalty to you and promise to serve you well Lord…what’s your name again?” he asked, wanting to finish off his oath but lacking the knowledge to do so.
”It’s, uhm, Kichiro, but please, don’t talk like that. It’s making me feel a little awkward,” Kichiro replied to what he found to be the over formal Tapirmon.
”I will Lord Kichiro.” he responded as he stood to salute his new partner, who was now giving a sigh of annoyance since, out of all the partners in the world, he had to get the one who thought himself a knight. Oh well, it could have been worse, and he seemed to be a decent enough fellow.
”All right Tapirmon, if you’re going to be my partner, we’ve got a few things to work on. First, no more of the Lord thing all right? Second….actually, I’m not sure what else we should be doing,” he turned towards Leo and Gazimon,”Do you have any suggestions?”

Gazimon looked onward as he saw the digimon interacting with the dumbfounded boy. He was rather skeptic at the monsters actions. Gazimon cared for his human much more then he let on, but he wouldn't make a fool of himself in the way this digimon was. Leo practically responded to his every beck and call. Sometimes he felt more like the tamer then Leo was.
Leo too observed these actions, noting how different the relationship was from he and Gazimons. The monster had pulled him out of his mundane rich boy life, and was starting to show him what it was like to truly live, even if he did not show it much. If anything, he was indebted to the digimon, not the other way around. Other people functioned differently, he supposed. Regardless, he was a bit taken aback by the sudden consultation given to him, but thankfully was saved, as usual, by his partner.
"You get stronger, kid." Gazimon responded "Its in a digimon's programming to fight and eliminate others, and weather you like it or not, eventually you will be pulled into it. Beat them to the punch. That digivice of yours has a radar that should tell you when a new one appears. Thats the signal to show you they are ripe for the picking." He smirked, and crossed his arms "And you may want to get some cards of your own... you wont always be able to borrow others, unfortunately."

Tapirmon really had no clue what everybody was looking at him oddly. Even his Lord, uhm, tamer Kichiro was acting strange. Was it that the ways of the chivalrous knight were not as popular in these lands? Then again, even in the Digital World Tapirmon had found himself looked at oddly. Ah, what did he care. As long as he was serving for the side of good and defeating evil, it didn’t matter how he acted. Still, he had received an order from his tamer, and he was going to follow it. He would no longer refer to him as Lord Kichiro.
”As you wish. Please, however, tell me what I can refer to you as?” he replied, wanting to figure out what would please his tamer.
Kichiro, however, was actually starting to get a bit annoyed by all this. While he was glad to have gotten a partner, but he really didn’t want to have a partner who acted more like, what would be an appropriate term, vassal? It fit very well with the whole knight theme the Digimon was giving off, but he didn’t want that at all. He knew how the relationship was supposed to work from the show; the human and Digimon were supposed be friends and equals, not master and servant. This was going to have to be the first thing he was going to work on with this Digimon.
”You can just call me Kichiro. Not Prince Kichiro, Lord Kichiro, not whatever kind of title you want to add to Kichiro. We’re partners, not master and servant. And I think you can get off your, uhm, knees?” he replied, noticing the Digimon was still bowing in front of him.
Tapirmon followed the order rather quickly, getting right back up in front of Kichiro. He did give another bow to let Kichiro know he had heard the order.
”As you wish Kichiro, I will not refer to you with any title.”
It was a good start at least. A bit too formal for Kichiro’s taste, but it was better than being referred to as Lord. With that, he listened as Gazimon explained what the deal was. So they were going to have to defend the city from rogue Digimon, and hopefully get the jump on any trying to get to the real world. Looking at his Digivice, he saw the slot for cards, and with a quick press of a button he got the radar. Nothing was popping up at the moment, but it was good to know how to get to it.
”I have a few cards at home I can use till I get the money to buy more. So just to ask, are there any other tamers out there? Or is it just you at the moment?” Kichiro asked, wondering if they were the only ones out there in this situation.

Leo and Gazimon just looked onward for a while, rather neutral to all this, the cat digimon smirking though, finding it a bit amusing, at least. He couldn't imagine living with someone like that all the time. He would take the emotionless ritch boy any day over the floating cloud monster. As per usual, Gazimon answered, Leo not being the sociable type.
"Eh, we've ran into a few..." he muttered, crossing his arms, thinking of the couple they had ran into, rather intresting occurances, "We arnt the only ones, I know that. Exactly how many there are is questionable though. There could be ones who arnt as active as we are, and are just trying to go about semi-normal lives. But we arnt the only two pairs in the world like this, that I am sure of."
(Ah, I feel like my posts are so small!)

”You don’t talk much, do you?” Kazuma replied, facing Leo. He had noticed that Gazimon had been doing almost all the talking, and that a bit odd. Gazimon’s statements, however, distracted Tapirmon. There were more pairs of Digimon and humans out there? That was rather interesting. Apparently it was more than just him that was sent into this world to gain a human. It might be a good idea to locate these fellow Digimon, and to join forces with them. They would become a group of knights, fighting against the forces of evil that were invading this world from the Digital World. It was making him rather pumped, and the eagerness was not unnoticed by Kichiro.
”Tapirmon, what you getting excited about?” he asked, wondering what it was that his partner could be getting eager about.
”Gazimon said there were others like us out there, and I thought it a most glorious idea that we should track them down and form some kind of band of, well maybe not knights, but something to that effect.” he politely replied.
Kichiro was tempted to get onto him for using the word ‘glorious’ like that, but he was going to let him go. At least he wasn’t referring to him as ‘Lord’, and his idea didn’t seem that bad. Getting to know the other humans with Digimon partners would be beneficial; they could train together, trade stories, work as teams against other invading Digimon. Yeah, that wasn’t a bad idea at all.
”So what do you say Leo, Gazimon. Want to follow Tapirmon’s suggestion and meet some of these others that you just mentioned?”

Leo was a bit taken aback by the questioning of him, usually not enjoying interacting with others much. It was true, Gazimon was essentially his voice, he just faded into the background. He scratched the back of his head and gave a bit of a shrug.
"I... I don't usually have much to say..." He said, listening to Trapirmon's fantasies.
"Well, its up to my partner here. Im good with either." Gazimon said, looking at Leo, drawing him into action again. He looked between his partner and the two newcomers and back again, as if trying to make up his mind.
"Uh... I..." He muttered "I think we were doing just fine by ourselves..."
Gazimon raised an eyebrow as he looked back at the boy. He didn't approve of his choice, but as his partner, he would back him up whenever needed...

”Hmm, okay then…” Kichiro replied as Leo backed off. The kid was rather introverted, wasn’t he? That was okay, Kichiro was like that himself at times. However, if they were to work together (as Kichiro assumed) then it could be an issue if they couldn’t communicate. Tapirmon seemed to notice the quietness as well, but before he could comment on anything Kichiro gave him a glare. This shut the Digimon up; while he wanted to give a speech on heroism, if his master wanted him silent, he’d be silent. One could tell he was itching to talk, however, as he seemed a bit squeamish and unable to stand still.
”Tapirmon, calm down. No speech of your is going to convince them to join up. It’s their choice after all.” Kichiro responded, putting a hand on top of Tapirmon’s head to force him to sit still. He had to smile a bit as he shook his head; the Digimon had the right spirit it seems. As long as he toned down the ‘chivalry’, he could get used to working with this Digimon. In response to teaming up with Leo and Gazimon, however, Kichiro showed some disappointment. Leo apparently didn’t want to, and Gazimon’s response made it look like he didn’t agree. Since he had just told Tapirmon it was their choice, however, Kichiro really couldn’t say anything. They would have to live with that decision, and hope that they found someone else to join up with. Theoretically they could go alone, but with something like this, Kichiro thought it would be better to team up with someone.
”All right then, your choice. Hopefully we’ll see you around then?” he asked.

Gazimon sighed, glancing back at his partner disappointingly, before shrugging a bit.
"Well, I suppose I will. Might stick around to show ya the ropes at least..." The cat said, looking over at the other two. "Cant say the same for him though... but if he wants ta go it alone, I can't blame him. Hes got his reasons..."
Of course, the way that he said the last bit did still sound rather disapproving. Gazimon knew very well why his partner did not wish to continue on with others, but thought it was a paranoia he really should get over. Regardless, he turned to the boy.
"Wanna head out then?" The cat asked, getting a nod from his partner. Gazimon looked back at the other two for a moment "I guess ill see you guys around then. Ill track you down later when I got time."
With that, the other two began to walk away. Leo did look a bit displeased about something. It was easy to imagine he had his reasons for not wishing to continue in a team, and maybe too had his own doubts about them...

”That would be nice. Obviously, I have no clue what it is that I’m doing” Kichiro replied with a weak laugh. He had just been standing there doing nothing during the fight, minus throwing the mp3 player turned Digivice (which reminded him; does that mean his Digivice could play music?). Kichiro wasn’t going to question Leo’s decision. If he didn’t want to stay and help, he couldn’t force him to. From the Gazimon’s tone of voice he could see he didn’t like it either, but he was loyal to his partner. Speaking of which, Kichiro glanced over to see how his partner was doing. Not surprisingly, he was just standing there at full attention. Was he ever lazy at all?
The other two soon turned to leave, giving them a quick good bye and a promise to track them down later.
”All right then, trust me, I won’t be hard to find.” Kichiro replied, giving them a quick wave. Turning back to his own partner, Kichiro realized that he was going to have to do something about Tapirmon. He obviously couldn’t keep him at home in his room. His parents were gone right now, though, so he could hide him there for a bit, get him something eat and all that. But they’d have to figure out something eventually.
”Well, time to head home Tapirmon. We’ll get you some food, and then figure out where you can stay. My parents probably wouldn’t want you hanging around at home.”
Tapirmon nodded, following behind his ‘partner’ (he was following Kichiro’s wishes and not saying ‘lord’). He wasn’t sure what he was talking about, but the talk of a meal was bringing up his spirits. After a battle one should always feast and celebrate the victory after all.
