BlackKnightChessmon once again blocked Tapirmon’s attack, and Tapirmon growled a little in annoyance. While he was glad to find that the opponent wasn’t a push over, at the same time he wasn’t enjoying the fact that he was a little too powerful. Even with assistance from this Gazimon, they were barely getting through the Digimon’s defenses. He was out of attacks too; those were the only moves he had. If they weren’t going to get through, nothing else would. And charging the Digimon wouldn’t do much either. Tapirmon had tusk, but they weren’t really battle ready against such a large opponent.
”This battle is a little more difficult than I had anticipated. However, that is what makes it so invigorating. Now then, do you have a…”
The enemy Digimon interupted with a taunt, but Tapirmon ignored it. While yes it did anger him, he had to hold his temper. A good knight exhibited self control, even if he had some personal trouble with it at times. However, this was not one of those times; he knew he was weaker compared to this BlackKnightChessmon, and a good knight was aware of his weakness. There had to be something to give them an edge against this worthy foe.
His ally once again charged at the enemy, but Tapirmon noticed something was different. He seemed faster, stronger, more confident. What had happened this time around? Did his partner pull out another one of those cards? Looking over at the other human, who seemed to lack a partner, he hoped that the boy could pull something off.
”You there young lad, do you have one of those…uhm, what was it called, Digivices? I may require some extra power to fight this foe.”
”Okay then, so this isn’t normal for you then. That’s good to hear I guess…” Kichiro replied with some confusion.
Looking up, he saw that the two Digimon; the Tapirmon from who knows where and the boy’s Gazimon, were having some trouble. Their attacks weren’t getting through, though at least they weren’t being attacked back. The kid pulled out another card and slid it through, and soon the Gazimon was rushing at the enemy again. A second later the Tapirmon was talking to him asking him to pull out a card and do the same.
”I don’t have a Digivice or cards. I’m sorry but you’re on your own here…” he replied sadly. He wanted to help, but he really didn’t have a way to do so at the moment. The Digimon looked depressed for a second, but after a quick sigh he faced down the enemy again.
”All right, I may not have any fancy upgrades like Gazimon, but I can still fight. Prepare for another Nightmare Syndrome.”
Instead of releasing it right away, however, Tapirmon instead charged towards the enemy, hoping that Gazimon’s attack would knock him off balance. With that opening, he would release the attack at full blast…and close range. That way it would be a lot more powerful than it had been.

For once during this entire battle, the black digimon had been caught off his guard. This was especially due to the increase in power and speed for the Gazimon. As he had attempted to block the strike, he found himself knocked back by the impact of the collision. Then, as he attempted to regain his position, he was hit again by another powerful attack.
Shaking himself from the attacks, Blk.KnightChessmon glared towards the two digimon as he pointed his weapon down at them.
"You have truly tested my mercy....Now you will die because of it!!"
Leaping up into the air, the large figure disappeared into the pitch black sky, leaving nothing but a small cloud of dust in his wake.

Gazimon landed upon the ground after he had made his assault. He glared at the enemy, a rather serious expression upon his face, and watched the knight in armor dissapear. He was rather suprised at first, but that experssion quickly dissapeared. He closed his eyes, and his ears stood up, attempting to listen to his foe. He half-mindedly thought of going back to his partner to ensure his safety, but realized there was no need. This guy had values of his own, and was fairly certian he wouldn't play dirty by attacking his human. If he did, he would be able to protect him still. He was incredibly fast and strong in his current state, and his ears were bound to pick up some trace of him just before he would strike. It was only a matter of waiting now...
Leo too was waiting. His hands were gripping his cards, though he didn't swipe them. Now wasn't the time. He perhaps could call a barrier, but that would not be beneficial, as Gazimon would be unable to attack outside it, regardless of how much more defense it would give them. He had to trust that his partner could get this done, and wait, just like him...

Ah ha! Success was in Tapirmon’s grasp! The combined might of Gazimon and him had lead to the black knight falling in combat, at least for a little bit. Floating backwards away from the Digimon’s body, he waited for the Digimon to prepare his next strike. He was surprised to find that the Digimon disappeared into the air, after a little threatening because of it. Normally Tapirmon would have scoffed at such a cheap tactic, but in his mind, a true warrior prepares himself for anything. Just because he had more honor than this guy didn’t mean he shouldn’t consider the Digimon would use dirty tactics.
Keeping his ears sharp and ready, he tried to steady his breathing. However, he would have to wait on his ally Gazimon, who probably had better hearing skills than he did. Whenever he sensed something Tapirmon would join in the strike. Now all they had to do was wait for it.
Kichiro, meanwhile, was busy trying to spot the Digimon as well. He was getting tired of sitting in the back, doing nothing. The two Digimon were doing all the fighting, and the other boy was doing all the supporting. What had he done? Absolutely nothing. Sure, he really shouldn’t be getting involved in what was obviously not his fight (well, sort of), but he felt obligated to try and help these Digimon out somehow. They did intervene and helped to save his life. Actually, this entire thing was his fault to a degree since he was the one snooping around looking for Digimon. He had to make it up to them all somehow.

It was then that a figure could be seen falling from the sky. It was dark, so really only his red eyes could be seen through the darkness. As he continued to descend upon his foes, the black knight lowered his needle-like lance in the direction of Gazimon.
"Prepare to die! Naive!!!"

Gazimon sensed his opponents words, and quickly looked upwards to see the knight descending upon him with his lance. Quickly, much quicker then he normally would have at a rookie level, he raised his blade up and blocked the lance with its blunt end, holding the blade with two paws, keeping the lance away from his head though it got dangerously close.
"Leo! One more time!" The digimon called to his partner. The boy nodded, and slipped one, final card through his digivice. It was now or never. He would take this guy out with one shot. It was rare he used his actual special ability, as it traveled slow and thus was not good at long distance fighting, but augmented as much as he was, and with the opponent at this close of a distance, a point-blank attack would surely do damage, enough to hopefully finish him off.
"Electric Stun Blast!" He yelled, and opened his mouth, a brilliant yellow glow emitting from within, and he released a giant sphere of electricity, surely too much for a rookie to produce, upon the knight whos weapon was locked with his, almost sure to hit at this distance. It was now or never. This was his last powerful move before his cards wore off, and he was going to make it count.

When the enemy yelled out, Tapirmon was right on it. He was heading towards Gazimon, which hopefully meant he didn’t consider Taprimon’s ability to assist in the fight. At that speed of falling there was no way he’d be able to dodge, well, anything that was going on. With that in mind, Tapirmon took the time to aim a shot.
”I’m sorry to say BlackKnightChessmon, but it shall be you who will die tonight. Nightmare Syndrome.”
As Gazimon sent out a blast of yellow energy right at the Digimon, Tapirmon fired his own nightmare-powered energy towards him. Seeing as the other human had used another one of those cards, Tapirmon assumed that Gazimon’s strength was increased. Combined with his own attack, there was no way that this enemy of theirs would survive. Finally, WhiteKnightChessmon’s death would be avenged, and this world would be once again safe from the forces of darkness.
Off on the sidelines, Kichiro tried to figure out something to do. He had noticed that the other boy had kept using cards to enhance Gazimon’s strength using some card-reader thing that he assumed was some kind of Digivice. Kichiro obviously didn’t have anything like that; heck, the only electronics he had on his person was a cellphone and a digital music player. Sure, the later had some kind of add on that allowed him to scan stuff, but it wasn’t anything big. Still, it was worth a shot.
Running over to the other kid, he grabbed one of the cards, after a quick round of apologizing for the rudeness. He wasn’t sure what the card was, just that hopefully it would do something. This Tapirmon didn’t have any boosters, and probably would have been crushed by now if that Gazimon wasn’t helping. He had to do something to help the little guy out.
”All right, Tapirmon, let’s see if this helps.”
Whipping out the device, he started scanning over the card and…nothing happened. Grumbling, he kept trying and trying to see if anything would happen. Apparently, though, he wasn’t able to help Tapirmon at all. Still, he had to do something, so he kept at it in hopes that eventually it would work…ah screw it. Giving the kid back his card, Kichiro took aim and, knowing full well what he was about to do was probably stupid and not going to do anything, he threw the player at BlackKnightChessmon. Hey, it would at least distract him, right?

It was not clear weather or not the nightmare syndrome or the mp3 player had any effect from the enemy, who was screaming in pain as the large amount of electricity engulfed his body, becoming a shadow within the energy, before he split apart, becoming millions of little particles of data floating around in the air, scattered by the energy.
Leo was dumbstruck at how powerful his partner had became through the modifications by his cards. His sword and knuckles faded from his hands as his mouth fumed from the power of his last attack, leaning back, allowing the data of the fallen opponent to flow into his body. Eventually, it had vanished completely within him, and he let out a relieved sigh, falling forward onto his paws, panting.
"Told him..." He muttered, struggling to his feet "You alright kid?"
The digimon turned to Kichiro, looking over the boy and the digimon. Leo did as well. He hadn't payed a terrible amount of attention to them. He walked over and picked up the mp3 player, and handed it to the boy.
"Uh... here ya go... sorry you had to get caught up in all this..."
"Whats your story guy?" Gazimon asked, turning twords the new digimon "Generally, digimon are either here to cause trouble or find a partner... You helped us out just now but you never know... like just now. People arn't always how they seem..."

With the Digimon destroyed, Kichiro and Tapirmon could finally relax. Tapirmon collapsed on the ground, exhausted after such a massive fight. Kichiro was just glad that he wasn’t dead, though he was a bit sad that his MP3 player was probably damaged as it was thrown at a Digimon in the process of being destroyed.
”Well then, I promised that justice would prevail against evil, and it did. This a victory worthy of Azulongmon,” Tapirmon responded between breaths as he rested.
Now that the battle was over, Kichiro could actually talk with the duo that had basically rescued him from being a shishkabob on that BlackKnightChessmon’s lance. They asked if he was all right, and for the most part he was. A little scarped, but nothing big. After all, he wasn’t the one who had been doing all the fighting, was he? He just stood on the sidelines, throwing an MP3 player at the end for no good reason at all.
”I should be asking you all that. I didn’t do anything at all,” he replied, nervously laughing.
The other kid then returned with his MP3 player, handing it over to Kichiro. He had apologized for the mess, but Kichiro had been looking for this sort of thing anyway. Be careful with what you wish for and all that sort of thing. So he shook his head as the kid apologized.
”Don’t worry about it. I was hoping to find some Digimon anyway after I heard rumors of them popping up again. A little more than I bargained for though…”
Meanwhile, Tapirmon was finally starting to catch his breath, just in time for the Gazimon to begin questioning him. It was a bit insulting to the Digimon, but he let it go. He didn’t expect those who were not trained in the art of chivalry to realize that a person who was willing to risk in life in battle beside you was someone you could trust. Plus, and he hated to admit it, the Gazimon could probably beat him up if he back-talked. Politeness was the virtue of a good knight anyway.
”I’m not to sure myself why I am here. I was in the Digital world when suddenly a bright light appeared and whisked me away to this realm. As long as I am here, however, by Azulongmon’s name I will not let evil triumph without a fight.”
Nearby Kichiro was messing around with his MP3 player, trying to see if the thing would work anymore. He wasn’t having any luck, but as he pressed random buttons it came to life again with a rather annoying screech and beeping sound. Yep, it was ruined, but as he went to put it into his pocket a large light appeared from it, Turning away, he glanced over to find it shifting by some kind of unknown force. By the time it was over, his MP3 player was turned into a Digivice similar to the one the boy had.
”Okay, that isn’t something that happens everyday…”

Leo didn't really respond to Kichiro's words. He returned to being rather silent and reserved as he listened to the two talk. Gazimon was a bit rude to the new digimon, but he knew the cat was just looking out for him...
"You never can be too sure mister..." Gazimon said, though seeming to back off "Evil tends to be a subjective word, meaning different things depending on whos lips it comes out of. You don't seem like a bad guy though, so Ill lay off... for now."
Both the boy and his digimon turned to observe as Kichiro's mp3 player changed into a digivice, suprised by the event, though Gazimon's face soon had a smirk grow upon it.
"Well... I can be pretty sure you ain't a bad guy now..."
