"Alright Gaomon, don't lose control......." Nova whispered, Nova didn't want his talking to distract Gaomon from battle, he hoped that Gaomon had heard his voice but it would have been likely that he didn't. Nova's three cards were still in his hand and so was his digivice; Nova knew that this battle had just started and Gaomon would need all the help he could get to fight this champion digimon.

A smile came upon Gaomon's face as he once went into anticipation mode, waiting for Gatomon to make her move. But the smile was not from his recent success in damaging and cleverly dodging Gatomon's attack but from what Nova had said. The wind did indeed carry over Nova's voice and it was comforting to have there for him. Gaomon raised in gloves in anticipation of what was to come next. Gatomon was fast, clever, and strong but she was also a champion level digimon so she would not be defeated so easily but he would have to find a way.

Gatomon remained where she was, her thoughts still planning her next move. It would be alittle difficult, judging by the previous attack, the Gaomon was pretty strong for its level. She would have to be careful when getting up close to the creature, for fear of getting tossed again. But, that would only happen, if he managed to catch her.

"Lets see you dodge this one! Lightning Paw!!"

Within moments, the feline launched herself forwards. But then, she disappeared, almost as if she were invisible. But, in truth, she was only moving at such a great speed, it became almost impossible to see her. That was, intill she reappeared at the side of him. But even then, it would give him only so little time to block or avoid the strike, which was just a few inches away from the creature's face.

Speed was the main factor that Gatomon had on her side, and Gaomon knew it. He knew that it would be impossible to get off as easily as he did last time. Gaomon was not a champion like her, his abilities were not a pronounced but he was stronger by far. If this battle was to be won then he would have to utilize his strength. There was a moment where Gatomon could not be seen, it was then that Gaomon closed his eyes and looked for any abnormal sound during the silent night sky.

Nova was on edge, the cards were in his hand but he didn't have the mind to use them. Gaomon could have used a boost but Nova was not able to be to activate a card because Nova was waiting and hoping Gaomon would forgive him for any damage that Gaomon received. As this was his first battle, Nova was very scared for the health of Gaomon.

Gaomon sensed Gatomon near him but it was too late to dodge the attack at all so Gaomon did the next best thing. As soon as Gaomon felt the pain of Gatomon's paw on his shoulder, Gaomon went into a rapid spin known as the double backhand. His hands were in fists and they were spinning as fast as they could since the moment Gatomon struck Gaomon. The spinning expanded the pain that was inflicted upon Gaomon but he was warrior and he would bear the pain as long as he attained victory.

The force of the Gaomon's counter had caught the cat by surprise. So much in fact, that as soon as it connected with her, she was knocked to the side, sliding along the ground intill her body halted near the grassy side of the park.

"Gah! How the heck.....You're starting to get on my nerves mutt. But I know for sure that you can't predict where I am every time. Lightning Kick!"

As Gatomon rose to her feet, she glared towards the dog digimon, eyes flashing as she disappeared once more, this time appearing behind him as she attempted to kick him in the back.

Relief gripped Nova's heart as Gaomon once again proved his superiority in battle from the counter he had just performed. A smile wore onto Nova's face, he was glad that Gaomon was such a good fighter since Nova was useless right now. But he could see Gatomon recovering from the counter attack but Gaomon was just getting out of the spinning attack and would not have enough time to dodge. Nova's reflexes kicked in and he activated a card, at random, and it turned out to be the Teleport card.

As soon as Gaomon got out of his spinning attack, he was teleported a few feet away from where Gatomon was aiming to attack him from the back. A smile appeared on his face as he looked a Nova with a sense of pride. 'So this is what a tamer does.....' he thought as he smirked at how Gatomon would look after she tripped over her self in her attempt to attack Gaomon.

What a relief it was to Nova that he had activated a card that would actually help Gaomon. But he knew this battle would continue and he would help out. All of the nervousness was gone, Nova had a plan, a plan that would assure them victory.

As Gatomon kicked towards the digimon, her facial expression shifted to one of confusion. For before she could even connect her attack, the Gaomon had been teleported away from her. Quickly retracting her leg, the feline scanned the area intill she finally spotted the dog.

"I....but...you were..."

Her confusion was soon replaced with anger, as she couldn't believe that she had been so easily surprised by this. After all, it was only a simple card trick. She had heard that humans did seem to use special tools to help advance the abilities of their partners. Though this knowledge did not change the fact that it was somewhat annoying.

"I hate card tricks...."

"Then you will hate this!" Nova said raising his digivice and swiping the speed card. At first Nova did not notice the sparks that emitted from the digivice when he activated the card. Nova's plan was in action, his only concern was that Gaomon would not recognize what he was tying to do and the plan would fail.

"Hmmmm....."Gaomon said as for the first time in his life he felt himself get lighter despite not losing any of his physique. It was an amazing feeling, he was more confident and he could feel the card taking effect every second after the card was swiped. Gaomon knew his strategy now that he was a lot faster. Gaomon ran as fast as he could towards Gatomon, performing his tornado attack. The attack further increase his velocity as he went zipping through the battlefield in a matter of two seconds and was almost face to face with Gatomon, his fist positioned to attack. His speed was amazing, there was an after image, and his attack would be quick and deadly. If the attack didn't hit Gatomon, which was unlikely, he was mentally ready for a counterattack.

His movements had become so fast. The Gatomon couldn't believe what her own eyes were showing her. Was this guy, moving as fast as she could?

The feline couldn't think about this for too long, for before she knew it, a strike slammed against her face, knocking her into the air, and causing her to land roughly upon the sidewalk.

"I..can't believe this...."

Rising slowly to her feet, Gatomon held her now red cheek for a moment, frowning as her eyes shifted towards Gaomon. That was it, there was no more playing around from here on out.

"Lets see if you can keep up dog boy! Lighning Paw!!"

With that, the cat disapppeared, moving swiftly towards the digimon at blinding speed. There was no way she would give up without a fight, not by a long shot. This digimon would fall today!!

(I am going to assume that Gatomon is speeding towards me in a straight line)

This time her speed was not as profound, his increase in speed came with the ability to view other things that were in speed. Gatomon definitely was not slow but she seemed slower than before as Gaomon also took off towards Gatomon, his left fist raised to strike the on coming Gatomon. He wasn't going to try and dodge this attack, it would be fist to fist. "We'll see who has the greater strength." Gaomon mumbled to himself as he approached Gatomon and Gatomon approached him.

Nova had his digivice gripped very steadily in hand, he was calm and relaxed now. his confidence in Gaomon was absolute now, even though it had wavered in the past, he put his trust in Gaomon's strength. Nova's last card was not held in his hand, if Gaomon could get a grab of Gatomon, they could finish Gatomon.

Gatomon saw the dog charging towards her as well. But, she wasn't upset by this daring move at all. In fact, she was rather impressed. Maybe this dog woudl give her the fight she'd been waiting for all this time? So far, he wasn't disappointing her.

"Ok Gaomon....Lets see whos the top fighter here..."

As they two collided into one another,the feline had sent a punch towards the digimon, just as he had sent a punch towards her. But with the force of speed and power of impact, the cat was sent sliding back, her feet screeching herself to a halt as she stood her ground.

Though she pretended not to be affected by the attack. It was apprant from the red mark on her face that she was indeed hurt. Not only that, but she was now holding the side of her hip with her paw.
