Jeri sat quietly on a park bench, her thoughts in the sky and her mouth closing upon a freshly baked creme puff. It was funny, she only just recently eatten one yesterday, yet it felt like a life time, Takato's folks sure did know how to bake. It's just a shame that Takato wasn't there, he was a pretty hard face to catch as of late. Actually, everyone was pretty busy lately and break was almost over.
Setting down her white paper bag, the young girl leaned back and let her eyes stare up towards the clouds. Two years...It was hard to believe that so much time had gone by, and how much they had all grown since then. Everything had changed, she had changed. Or this more of a feeling than anything else? Why was she even thinking about this? She should be having fun, yet without the others...What was there to do?
".....He he...That one looks like a Gulimon's tail..."
It was rather random that Jeri would just say something like that, but the pictures in the skies seemed to draw out images of digimon from her memories. There was Gulimon's tail, Terriermon's head, even Impmon face was up there. But the last image she saw caused her to pause for a moment, it was that of a lion.
A single tear slide down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it away as she closed her eyes for a moment. The girl then whispered something, but then continued to smile as she continued her search for familar faces in the clouds.

"Diana! Wait!" Luna called. The small girl called, fixing her hat, she chased after her digimon who was floating around the path. Eventually passing over Jeri, not even noticing her. She flew straight down the hill. "Lunaaaaaaaaaa-chaaaaaaaaan! Hurrrrrrrrrrry!" Diana called waving a paw. Luna panted, pausing on the hill. It was then she noticed the girl. "Oh crap..." How would she explain that the creature was from another world? "I...I...uh..." Luna began to panick.

Jeri's cloud game was stopped the moment she heard the shout of the digimon's name. Turning her head towards the hilltop behind her, she felt her hair blow against the breeze that came from the soaring Lunamon. The girl then blinked, looking towards the fleeing digimon almost in shock.
"A...A digimon??"
Just as she was pushing herself up from the bench, she then turned her attention back to the hill, only to see a girl at its peak. She appeared almost in shock, though Jeri could probably understand why. So she did the only thing she could do, she giggled and then smiled while waving towards her.
"You may want to hurry! She headed towards an open part of the park..."

"T-Thanks!" Luna called running after Diana who was sitting on a bench. "D-Diana! You let a girl see you!" Luna said taking Diana and shaking the digimon silly. "I-Im sorrrrrrrrrry!" Diana cried. Clinging to her tamer, Luna held Diana close. "You idiot..." She murmured, burying her face into her digimon. She then turned in the direction of Jeri. "S-Sorry 'bout this...um...y'know...shes a...toy! Thats it! A toy!" Luna said as Diana went limp. [/color] |

Jeri just continued to smile as watched the girl hold her partner tight. She obviously cared for the little being, otherwise she wouldn't be so fearful about what she thought about the whole thing. Though really, the girl was more concerned about how exactly were digimon able to return to the real world at all? After all, Henry's dad had said that other what had been done, access to and from the digital world should be impossible.
But, there was time to think about that later, at the moment, it really didn't matter. Digimon were in the real world again! Maybe that meant that Calumon and the others would be able to come back as well...
"Its ok....see?"
Reaching into her skirt pocket, she pulled out her D-Arc. Though pretty much lifeless now, Jeri liked keeping it close to her. Mostly for a good luck charm...and a reminder...

" O-Oh! So your a digimon tamer too?" Luna asked as Diana moved out of her arms to float over to Jeri. " My names Diana, whats yours?" The digimon asked in a friendly tone. She proceeded to land on Jeri's head, she was incredibly lightweight, only about weighing as much as a feather. Luna came over, fixing her hat. " My names Luna." She grinned. " Diana and me are skipping school today...theres not much going on anyway..." She said shrugging. " I have one of those too." Luna pulled out hers.  |

The girl grinned as she then looked up towards her head as the creature landed on top of it. Jeri never thought she would find another digimon that was as light as Calumon, yet this bunny like digimon was just that. It was almost like a pillow had landed on her head, though she could still feel its small claws within her hair.
"Im Jeri..."
Looking towards Luna, the young girl leaned forwards to examine her D-arc. It was exactly like hers, except that it was purple instead of yellow. Not only that, but it appeared pretty new, while her's held many scratches and its cracked screen from two years back.
"Im just taking a break...Right now we're supposed to be looking for something out of nature to bring back for study..."

"Really?" Luna tilted her head. "My classes never do that...their always so boringggg!" She said flailing. Diana moved over to Luna, landing on top of her hat. "Dont worry! Be happppyyy!" Diana said cheerfully. "I know! I know!" Luna snorted. "So, Jeri-chan, do you have a digimon partner?" Luna asked looking to her. "I met a girl last night...she battled with a Renamon against a Sealsdramon! It was so cool!" Luna said eyes sparkling as she remembered the battle. [/color] |

Jeri grew silent, thoughts racing back to the past. Images flashing faster than she could see them. Her smile began to fade as well, it still wasn't easy for her to say that Leomon was dead, yet that was the case, he was gone. No matter how much she wished it not to be, that wasn't going to change. But just as she was about to say this, she over heard Luna mention something about a girl with a Renamon. Snapping instantly from her sad thoughts, the girl held a look of pure shock.
"Wait! Did this girl have red hair and a white and blue heart shaped t-shirt?!"
Could it have been Rika?

Luna watched Jeri's face turn sad. "Im sorry...did I say something wrong?" She asked. But when she asked about the girl, she nodded. "Yes! That was her. I didnt catch her name but hopefully i'll see her again..." She said nodding. Diana floated over to Jeri, hovering in front of her. "If your partner is gone, theres a chance you may find a new one. Dont lose hope." She said touching the girl's hand that held the digivice. [/color] |
