Marik gave a soft chuckle at her remark. "I don't think I'd want one if they think they expect me to spend my money on them after attacking me." He shot back playfully. He accepted the money, and went to get back in line. It was going a bit slow today, but he eventually got up to the front. "One kid's meal please, and an extra soda please." He ordered, handing the worker the money Shana had given him, as well as a bit of his own to pay for the soda.
Once the order was complete, he took it back to Shana. "Here you go. One kids meal." He said, setting the tray down in front of her, and taking the extra drink for himself. He took a sip of his drink, giving Shana some time to eat something before speaking up again. "So how is Aruraumon doing?" He asked conversationally.

"Thanks..."
She said, still a bit upset about what he had said to her before leaving the table. She wasn't that bad... was she? She suddenly didn't feel quite as hungry anymore. While it was true that she didn't want people to think she was weak, she didn't want them not to like her, but it seemed that... no one really did. She would even attest that out of her siblings, her own mother liked her the least... Maybe she was the reason her father left.
She unwrapped her hamburger from it's wrappings and just looked down at it for a second, before pulling it up to her mouth and taking a bite. She chewed for a bit, and swallowed before putting the sandwich down. She was so distracted that she had unintentionally ignored his question.
"I-I'm sorry for the other day..."

Marik watched her quietly. Something definitely seemed... off. Especially from between now and when he had gone to get her food. Was she upset? He thought back to the last thing he said to her. He hadn't meant to upset her like that. He was just trying to poke fun at the incident. Much less, he never expected her to apologize. Boy did he need a good slap in the face for judging people like that. "We all make mistakes. Its just important that we learn from them." He concluded, accepting her apology.

"I'm... not a bad person -er... I don't try to be..."
She averted her eyes away from his. She couldn't look at him. She felt tears coming out of her eyes as she began to cry again. She felt so weak. She didn't want him to see her like this. She wanted to just leave him now and run away, but unfortunately she was too injured to make any quick movements like that. Now that she couldn't escape, she had to share her feelings, as much as she didn't want to..
"I'm... sorry for crying... I-.. I just... don't want you to hate me too," she sniffled. "Like everyone else."
All of the sudden, she felt so full, despite how hungry she had been only a moment ago.

Marik's expression softened as tears began to run down her face. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her right now. Yeah, she made mistakes. Obviously he wasn't the first one she had made the mistakes with. But she obviously didn't want things to turn out the way they did for her. He reached over the table, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "It's alright." he said sympathetically.
He recalled the times when he'd slacken on his school work. His mom would yell at him, and sometimes even beat him with a belt when he did his work poorly. It didn't matter which it was, he always cried. He felt terrible pain from being yelled at and beaten. But he always felt better after he cried a bit. Much better than if he tried to hold it in. Doing so, it just felt like he might explode. "Want to go to the park? It'll be a bit less crowded there." He suggested, sensing that she didn't want to be seen crying in public. At least in the park they could find a private place to chat, and she could finish her meal there.

She wiped a tear from under her eye, looking up to him after he put a comforting hand on her shoulder. For some reason, she felt better already, though she still felt some sorrow for the way she had treated him. She hadn't expected him to forgive her so easily, but she was glad that he had forgiven her.
"Well... It's a long walk to the park... When you're on crutches..." she said to him in response. "Do you play Digimon Rumble Arena?... We can go to my house and play if you want... to come with me.."

He nodded, scratching his head sheepishly. Of course, it was a bit far from here. As for Digimon Rumble Arena? He had heard of it, but he wasn't able to get his hands on any video game consoles yet. "I haven't had a chance to get into the video games much, but I'd really like to try it." He said. He got up again, handing Shana her crutches. "My name is Marik, by the way. Not sure if you were paying attention when I introduced myself at the park." Once Shana was up on her crutches, he walked with her out of the restaurant, being careful not to walk too fast and making sure she didn't fall over again.

Shana was excited to hear that he would come to her house and play video games with her. She had never had a friend over at the house before, and she had never played video games with anyone besides her older sister and Aruraumon. She took her crutches from him after standing up. She took a look at the food. It felt like such a waste, she had only taken one bite.
After her food was all packed and in the bag, she followed him out of the building to lead him to her family's floral shop. .EXIT.
