Slipping through the sliding doors, Zhu made sure to take off her shoes before entering her home. Running down the hallway, she could hear her grandmother's soap operas playing in the room she passed by. Lao followed at a steady walk. he knew Zhu was in to much of a panic to walk calmly. Sweeping into her room, Zhu swept under her covers that lied over her bed like a small child would. Lao entered, frowning. "Zhu..." He said sitting down and watching her with his red gaze. Zhu shook under the covers, tears spilling down her cheeks. Lao lept onto the bed, rubbing up against her covered form. "Calm yourself. We're safe here." He said as she nodded slowly. A few hours later, Zhu sat on her front porch, wearing a tanktop and shorts, her black hair long and flowing behind her. Lao laid beside her, snoozing in the afternoon sun.
