[Le Papillon]

Chou was in the library working on her homework, her sister had a dinner party that day and didn't want Chou causing any trouble. She cooked a wonderful meal, Chou though wouldn't get any of it. She was given a simple mac and cheese dinner instead. It was just as good though and she was content with it, she didn't want to be a part of their dinner party either way. She went to the library to spend sometime, sadly though it was quite empty. She entered the library that night alone to do some studying on the topic of Digimon, maybe she could learn something about them in there.

Sadly though she couldn't find much information on the topic, when the government had covered it up, they really had covered up any information on them. The only thing on digimon in the library had to do with the card game, some picture books, game guides, things of the sort, nothing truly useful for the search. She wondered if there was any information on a Calumon... From the looks of it, there wasn't. She finally gave up planning on just playing in the park instead of staying in this dark lonely library. Gizamon was with her, sleeping under the table, she shaked him trying to wake him up, no luck. She began to walk around though when she noticed something running along the shelves. "Who's there?!" she asked in a alerted tone, she was in a cautious position, ready to defend herself.

The library, a place Seito often went, he didn't have any friend and before meeting Candlemon it was the place he often hung out, it was quiet and he was away from most of the other kids, but he did have to be careful about papercuts. He often kept a pack of band-aids with him whenever he went to the library incase he did get cut. Of course papercuts didn't end up getting him rushed to the hospital, but they still made puddles of blood for him as the wounds wouldn't just close up. He usually needed to hold the wound shut and use the band-aid to hold it in place. He had gone to the library that night as his mother was out at some faculty staff dinner party. He had fixed himself a microwave dinner of macaroni and cheese and left for the library.

He had been ready for several hours, he didn't love reading all too much, but he loved reading stories about brave knights and adventures. He was happy that Demimeramon had fallen asleep in his closet, hopefully though she wasn't burning the house down at the moment, she was wild, but she was a tamable fire at least. He trusted her to keep the house safe. He ran across the shelves of the libraries second floor when suddenly he heard someone ask, "Who's there?!" he had startled someone when he ran past, he stopped running to avoid being detected by the other person in the library. Several times had he gotten in trouble for running in the library, he didn't want to get in trouble again. He quickly hid behind a bookshelf Keeping silent.

Chou listened again, she was certain that she had heard someone dash past, it was deathly quiet right now, was she the only one here? Maybe she was imagining things, as no response returned to her question. Soon she noticed as the lights went out, she didn't scream though, but she did jump at the sudden change of lighting from dimly lit to basically pitch black. She quickly began to look for the stairs down to the ground floor, maybe the lighting was broken, she went to the front door and tried to open it. It didn't budge, "If this is someones idea of a sick joke it's not funny!" Chou yelled out in a slightly worried voice, she listened again hearing that same gush of wind, someone had just ran behind her again.

She quickly ran up the stairs to where Gizamon was, shaking him violently to wake him up. There was something in here and she felt insecure at the moment, a nice strong digimon to protect her might be nice. "Come out show yourself! This isn't funny!" She yelled out, a sense of anger in her voice, but also a large amount of fear now. Gizamon looked carefully at the surrounding area, sniffing the air, he could smell another human behind the bookshelf. He quickly jumped out landing right on the boy, "Who are you?! Whats your problem?!"

Seito jumped when the lights suddenly went out, the girl ran down the stairs, he silently walked down keeping quiet, she tried to open the door, oh no they were locked in the library. This had actually happened to Seito several times, the library was so big that the librarians didn't even bother to check to see if anyone was left in there, usually they found him sleeping under a table, this must've been a first for the girl though. She turned around, but he quickly ran behind a bookshelf before she could get a good look at him. Seito had naturally good vision in the dark, so he didn't have as much trouble as her, she could barely see, him he could see the vague outlines of things.

He watched as the girl ran up the stairs moving what looked like a dog under the table. He liked the fact that the library allowed people to bring their dogs, as long as they were quiet and didn't destroy anything. Soon though he understood what she was doing, he was about to run when the dog had jumped from the second floor right to the first. It jumped right toward the bookshelf he was behind and landed right on top of him. It was talking! The dog was talking! Soon he looked at it, it wasn't a dog! It was a Gizamon, was this girl a tamer?! He quickly pushed it off, quickly getting off the ground and beginning to run. He stopped running, and turned around. He quickly shouted, "Wait, sorry, but it wasn't me who turned off the lights or locked you in here!" He hoped she would listen and wait for him to tell her about the librarian locking them in.

Chou watched as Gizamon landed on the boy, the boy quickly pushed the digimon off and began to run, he stopped though and turned around yelling out that it wasn't him who had turned off the lights and locked the door. She clapped her hands calling Gizamon back as she didn't know how to whistle. Gizamon came back to her immediately. She looked at the boy her vision was getting a bit more accustomed to the dim lighting, the only light in here was from the outside, the car lights from the street and street lights outside shone in through the windows, faintly illuminating the libraries interior. She looked at the boy, he seemed familiar...

She remembered! "I know you! Your that one quiet kid in class, Seito? What are you doing here?! And if you didn't lock the door and turn off the lights who did!?" she didn't expect the boy to be Seito, he was so quiet and never really got into much trouble. Although every once and a while he went into random bursts of anger, she didn't get it... he got into fights every once and a while for no reason, usually he ended up going to the hospital after these instances, she had no idea why, but it just happened every now and then. Beyond those skirmishes though he seemed like a nice kid, but what was he doing here? She waited for Seito's response about the lights and door.

Seito watched as the girl recalled her digimon, she said that she knew him from school, he looked at her, she vaguely had an idea of who she was, Chou that one foreign student who had recently entered their school. He watched her along with the other kids from the corner, watching them play and have fun, but he noticed her specifically, she never really had a good time during lunch, she was always alone and when she tried going up to the other kids they just picked on her, often times he went up and attacked those kids for stealing her things. He just couldn't help it. She must've seen him as a really weird and odd kid for being quiet and getting into fights...

She asked who had turned the lights off and who had locked the door, he began to speak, "It wasn't me, it was the librarians they never check to see if anyone is left, if it's quiet and no almost no ones around they turn off the lights, most people leave a hour or so before the library closes to avoid this, I sort of lost track of time, I guess you did too? There's no way out unless you jump through a window or something..." He never tried this because he knew how dangerous glass could be, if he ended up with a large cut he could end up bleeding to death with no one to come and save him. He just stayed in the library till the next day.

Chou looked at him, he was talking as if he had been locked in the library several times, like it was no big deal. It was for her! She had never been locked in a dark library, it was somewhat scary and she didn't like it, she wanted to get home, even if it meant breaking down the front door! Then again... she didn't want to cause trouble, if she broke open the door it would probably cost the library money to repair it, she didn't want to cause the librarians trouble... then again they had caused her trouble by locking her in the stupid library! Chou gave a sigh and began to think of a way to get out. She looked at the library... She looked at the windows and doors, the windows were all locked and she didn't want to go out and break those, The windows were all high up though, too high for their reach, maybe if Gizamon hopped up with her on his back she could get the lock though!

Chou quickly went to action, she ran to the window and clapped her hands signalling Gizamon to come over, "Let me on your back, you can hop me to the lock and I can unlock the window so we can hop out." She told Gizamon, she went on his back he quickly hopped as she went up to the top of the window where the lock was, she used her hands and unlocked the widow allowing them to leave the library, she jumped out with Gizamon, landing on the grass outside the library.

The two went and unlocked a window, they hopped out, now he was certain that it wasn't a dog. He jumped out of the window as well, closing it after her left. He looked at the girl and her partner. "Are you a digimon tamer? That looks like a Gizamon to me..." He looked at her with a curious look, he was interested about her and her partner, maybe he might just get out of his quiet little bubble and try and befriend her. Then again, he might not and just keep this whole event as a dream in his mind as if it had never happened... He looked at her then pulled out his D-arc, "I'm a tamer, see? My partners at home though at the moment." He looked at her to wait for her response.

Chou looked at the boy as he asked, she didn't want this kid going out and telling everyone she was a Digimon tamer, she quickly went in front of Gizamon poorly blocking him from view. "Oh him?! No no no! He's my pet dog!" She said this in a frantic voice trying to conceal him from view. Soon Gizamon began to speak, "Who you calling a dog? I'm Gizamon, did you forget Chou... I'm a digimon. I don't even look like a dog sheesh!" Chou quickly shut his mouth with her hands, "Shh, be quiet!" Soon enough the boy pulled out the D-arc, saying he was a tamer himself. She believed him, she had seen all the other tamers she had found with the same device as hers. Hopefully he wouldn't go blurting out things, he didn't do so about his own digimon, so maybe she wouldn't about hers? He was a quiet boy either way so it should be fine...

Chou nodded, "Yah I'm a tamer, sorry, but I'm trying to keep him a secret, I was able to sneak him into the library, then he stayed under the table, no one noticed him so I was lucky everyone was too busy to notice him coming in. My names Chou, nice to meet you!" She said in a somewhat happy voice, other tamers at her age! She was somewhat excited about this, most tamers she had seen so far were several years older than her. She looked at the nearby bread store there was a clock that was visible to her, it said 11:00 PM. By now it was over! She had to get home, her sister would be worried sick, at least she had a valid reason for being late this time, not a lie in any way. "I'm sorry I need to go home now! It was nice meeting you, see you at school!" Chou said this as she began running home, Gizamon went into the trees and bushes following along with Chou, except hiding among the shadows to avoid being seen.

The girl was trying to hide the digimon from him, but he knew as a fact that it was a Gizamon, she eventually admitted it when he showed the D-arc, she told her to keep him a secret, and he promised to do so. She said her name was Chou, had he made a friend? Maybe he had... maybe he wouldn't feel so lonely now, not that he needed friends, he began to go into denial. But soon watched as she said she needed to leave and that she would see him at school, she waved as she ran away. He waved back, soon he looked and saw the same clock she had, he needed to get home too, he began running back. Hopefully his aunt wouldn't be back from the dinner party yet.
