Behind the Money

[Leo]

"So your not interested in where she is now?"

"Well, I am... but..."

"But what? Do you honestly believe that shes gonna just like you for your money?"

"All my other relationships seem to have gone that way..."

"Shes a childhood friend!"

"Shes probably not interested anymore. I mean, its been years since the last time I saw her..."

Gazimon let out a sigh as he listened to his new partner. The two were in the back of the Nihon Library, where very few customers treaded because it was so far away and the books were so uninteresting. Apparently Leo came here when he wanted to be alone, not that he didn't get enough of that at his mansion. They didn't have to worry much about people seeing his digimon though, so that was a good thing.

"Kid, ive been with you for a week, and you seem to have everything in the world beside friends." The digimon reasoned "Honestly, you don't seem happy just sitting there behind all your money. You gotta get out there and do something! Have some fun! Meet some people!"

"I can't believe a talking digital cat is giving me advice..." He said, flipping through a book before sliding it onto the shelf. It was true, he did want to meet her once again. See what she was up to nowadays, but he supposed that his uncertainty stopped him. He wasn't sure it was worth it.

[Jeremy Haynsworth]

None of the information Jeremy had begun looking for was located in the library. He had already spent an hour searching without any luck whatsoever, so he decided to look around some more. He had been holding on to his partner, Dorimon, so people would think he was some sort of toy. After some thinking, he had even begun calling him Kazu, so he could remember his name, and he quickly made his way through the library ‘till Kazu seemed to get enraged. His fur began to stand on its tips and he let out a weak, yet menacing growl.

“There’s a digimon here, Jeremy. I sense it.”

Jeremy gave Kazu a quick shove, and quickly, Kazu started calming down. It had only been a couple of days since they had joined together but Jeremy and Kazu were as close as anyone could be. Before he would take another step, he found himself all the way in the back of the library. There wasn’t really anyone here, but he stumbled upon a person and his partner and he froze, just staring at the Gazimon. Kazu quickly jumped on his four paws and landed near Jeremy.

“Oh…’ello.”

[Leo]

"Hey kid..." Gazimon said to his partner, his fur beginning to stand on edge as he sensed a digimon approaching "I think we may be getting some company real soon..."

Leo looked up from the book he had been reading ('reading' being a loose term, as he mainly was looking at pictures) and set it down on a table, picking up his D-Arc, looking at the screen as a blip of light was indeed near them. He assumed this was another digimon. Since Rhinomon, he hadn't dealt with any others. And in a library, where everyone was supposed to be quiet, how could he exactly keep a fight hidden? He was a bit relieved when he found the digimon to be tamed, and a small one at that.

"H... hey..." Leo said, looking down at the small digimon. Gazimon wasn't as formal.

"What do you want kid?" He asked in an annoyed tone, crossing his arms.

[Jeremy Haynsworth]

“Oh no, I was just wandering around, this is the first time I’ve seen another tamer and his partner.”

Jeremy kept close to Kazu. It had seemed that the digimon was willing to attack, but Kazu was not going to let him attack Jeremy. In an instant, Jeremy’s Digivice began to go on the fritz for some reason, as a light began to engulf Kazu. Jeremy wasn’t entirely sure what was going on but he was almost positive that Kazu was starting to digivolve, which had intrigued Jeremy to a point.

“Dodomon digivolve to!”



The light that had once engulfed Kazu instantly decapitated. In it’s place, Kazu had grown much longer. He had grown a tail, as well as the ability to walk on two of his legs. Hid strength had increased at an amazing pace and he had reached the stage of a Rookie. “Dorumon!”

Quickly running towards Jeremy’s side, Kazu had prepared himself, just in case the digimon was about to try something, as Jeremy stepped nearer to the boy and extended his hand. “Don’t mind Kazu, he’s a bit overprotective. ‘names Jeremy.”

OOC: Sorry I took so long, oh, and the digivolution wasn't that overly expressed, since it was Baby II to Rookie. .

"...Leo." The boy responded, not reaching out to return the handshake. He looked down at his digivice absentmindedly, watching as the dorumons stats appeared upon the screen. He was not the type that actively interacted with people.

Gazimon, on the other hand, scowled as the Dorumon evolved. He didn't care that the digimon was overprotective, he didn't like the attitude that he was giving them.

"Oh yah? Well you should teach the thing some manners." He retorted at the notion of him being overprotective "I don't like the look hes giving me. Besides, what makes him so sure he would be able to beat me in the first place?"

“If you dare lay a finger on Jeremy, I’d wipe the floor with you. You calling me a thing, when your another thing…”
Kazu quickly stuck his tongue out at the other digimon. He didn’t want to fight, but if he dared to attack Jeremy, he would rapidly go on the offensive and prepare to obliterate the opponent. Jeremy, on the other hand, was embarrassed by the way that Kazu had been acting and gave him another little slap on his head. He felt kind of sad, when the boy had unaccepted his hand shake, but he probably wasn’t the type of person that shook hands.

“Ah, what’re you doing in this library? Oh, and Gazimon, I don’t know if we could beat you or not, but it doesn’t matter, We’re not trying to pick a fight or anything…”

[Leo]

"'You calling me a thing, when your another thing…'" Gazimon repeated in a mocking tone "Great use of vocabulary kid. And the tongue? Really shows your maturity. Not trying to pick a fight? Your digimon sure had me fooled..."

"Were... not really doing anything here." Leo said, not caring much about the rash behavior his partner was exhibiting "Just came here to hang out really..."

It was true. He hadn't came for any particular reason. He barely did anything with a particular reason to it, actually. Most of the time, he found himself without a reason to do much anything.
