Froth bubbled at the edge of the ocean as it battered relentlessly against the beach’s shore. The monotonous pattern it made soothed Kenta’s nerves, calming his fears and releasing some of his stress. The young teenager was sitting before the vast ocean, the water lapping at his feet and the sour air stabbing at his nose. Flailing around in the water was his Digimon, Gomamon. The two had been reunited barely two days ago. Of course, the last time Kenta had seen his dear friend, he had been a Pichimon. Now it seemed he was unable to uphold his MarineAngemon form, settling for his rookie form. “How awesome is this?” asked Kenta, closing his eyes to intake the fresh air yet again. There was a brief silence before Gomamon yelled from the water, “It’s really awesome! Come on in, Kenta! The water’s perfect!” The teenager then heard a large splash as Gomamon dove beneath the surface yet again. “No thanks,” murmured Kenta to himself, resting his chin onto his crossed arms, “I’m not one for water.” He stared at the murky liquid; nobody was for sure what rested at the ocean floor, waiting to prey on its next meal. Kenta shuddered. “Be careful, Gomamon!” Kenta choked, peering deeper into the liquid. When it appeared his Digimon hadn’t heard him, Gomamon poked his head through the water, hollering, “Don’t worry, Kenta! I’m a professional!” To emphasize his skill, he did a backstroke, giving his tamer a sly smile in the process. Kenta rolled his eyes, only to rest his head back on his arms. That Digimon. He wondered if the others had gotten their Digimon back as well. Since Gomamon’s reappearance, he hasn’t had any encounters with his friends. They seem to have all faded into the background, losing their close relationship upon losing their Digimon. Kenta hoped dearly that this would bring them closer, just like the old days.

Just yesterday did Tomonari obtain his new digimon partner. Though he and his sister were hesitant to tell their father at first, it ended up turning out just fine. Respect and responsibility were two of the biggest things in their household, which Tomonari was used to. In order to get connected with Kuramon more, a trip to the beach would most likely help. His sister bought a baby bottle, oddly, with which Tomonari could feed his baby digimon, and the little guy could eat quite a bit from what they discovered. Tomonari's pet siberian husky, Galhab, had also come with on their break at the beach, which would give the teenager more to work with. At first, he thoughts nobody else was there, and sat a short distance away from where Kenta and Gomamon were.
His dark blue trench coat was used as a blanket for them to sit on, and Tomonari set his bag down next to him. He rolled up the sleeves on his light blue, long sleeved shirt, and had Galhab sit next to him. Tomonari placed Kuramon on his lap, and the baby digimon was still a bit tired. Kuramon's eye slowly opened and closed in a repeated rythm of sorts, as it was still a little early in the morning. The teenage boy looked over at his bag, and decided to take out his D-Arc. Sighing, he thought to himself, "I hope I can find out what this is all about...what'll happen when Kuramon digivolves? I just don't know..." Tomonari was in his own thoughts, when Galhab barked over at something. A confused look came upon Tomonari's face, "Huh? What is it boy?"
Gently petting his dog to relax, the teenager looked around, and saw both Kenta and Gomamon. Tomonari jumped a little in surprise, just realizing they were there now. However, the fact that Gomamon was there made him relieved in the sense that he wouldn't have to explain a gray blob with an orange eyeball. Tomonari decided to leave Kenta and Gomamon for now.

Kenta lifted his chin as he stared out into the vast ocean yet again. He had to keep a close on that Gomamon, or he would find certainly place himself in some sort of trouble. That’s just how he was; curiosity was never safe. Kenta leaned forward a bit as he searched the surging water, looking for any trace of Gomamon. Nothing. Where had he gone? He hadn’t resurfaced to speak with Kenta yet, and it was the weekend, so the tides were more rapid than usual. Please; let me my Digimon be out of harm’s way. Kenta then rose to his feet, daintily stepping to the water that lapped at the beach’s shore. Should he disregard his fears and search for his Digimon on his own? What he didn’t know was that Gomamon had been swept up by an underwater wave, and was sent sprawling into shallower waters. The sudden shift had left him without air, leaving him useless against the fight with the tides. Eventually, he ended up on the shore yet again, where a human was as well. “Kenta?” coughed Gomamon, blinking his eyes slowly. Wait…that’s not Kenta. As his eyes adjusted, he realized it wasn't his beloved Kenta, but a boy—one a male that was slightly younger than Kenta—and two creatures. After closer evaluation, a Kuramon was in the hands of the boy, and the creature sitting next to him was dog. But of what breed, Gomamon could not tell. Perhaps Kenta could tell him later. “Hehe, hello there,” Gomamon chuckled, meeting the boy’s gaze sheepishly. Kenta was already nearing the group, having heard the barks of the Siberian Husky sitting obediently next to the boy. Before Kenta could apologize or cover up Gomamon’s existence or anything of the like, his lower jaw dropped. It was a Digimon in that boy’s hands! So other people are getting their own Digimon, too. Closing his mouth and rubbing the back of his head, Kenta sighed, “I’m sorry if Gomamon’s disturbing you. He’s…curious, to say the least.” Gomamon ignored his tamer and waddled over to the Kuramon, making sure to keep distance with the dog. He didn’t really like them.

Another bark came from Galhab as the puppy was the first to notice that Gomamon had resurfaced from the water. Tomonari looked up again at his dog's bark, and heard the rookie digimon speak. A confused look was on his face, since the digimon asked if he was Kenta. Of course, Tomonari didn't know who that was, and couldn't get himself to respond to that. However, after a few moments, Tomonari said to Gomamon, "U-um...er, hi?" His attention was diverted to a boy, however, and the teenager looked to see who it was. Jumping a little, since he didn't notice Kenta at first, Tomonari calmed himself down. "I-I-It's alright. My dog's kind of curious as well.", he said to Kenta.
Kuramon hopped off of his tamer's lap, and landed next to Gomamon. The baby digimon looked up at the rookie curiously, and bounced up and down for a few moments. He seemed to be a cute little guy, like any baby digimon. Tomonari remained quiet, and then looked back down at the D-Arc in his hand. He began to think for a while, and then sighed. Looking back up at Kenta, he said, "So.....um, since Gomamon is yours, I guess you have one of these, too?" He revealed the D-Arc in his hand to indicate what Tomonari was talking about.
