It wasn't as if Doli hated sports and athletics or that she was bad at them. The girl was mostly indifferent to them. Her ability to perform was generally considered as a little above average by the coaches. However, she was nowhere near as good as her friend Yuriko.
Doli walked across the field to where the high jump mats were set up where the class would be training for the day. They warmed up, jumping up and down and stretching. Her face was neither excited, cocky, concentrated, or bored like the other faces. Hers was more observant than the rest. Once she was ready to run, Doli stood with her feet together and flexed her calves. Focusing on the bar, she stepped forward on her left foot, sprinted forward and flopped over the bar, barely scraping it with her bottom. Doli sighed, rolled off the mat and walked back to her place.
"Try not to show off," she teased Yuriko with a smile as they passed each other. Yuriko was next and Doli knew that the older, far more athletic girl would clear the bar by at least a whole foot. She was the star of the class.

Yuri's favorite period was P.E. Something about all the movement really got her excited! She just loved moving around and doing what she felt was something productive. She hated just sitting still in a classroom. And while Yuri was far from a 'bad' student, she found herself bored sitting in class. She loved being outside, in the crisp clean air, and running about! She took a deep breath as she smiled, looking around. She was wearing the school P.E. uniform, and while it was rather...reveiling to some of the girls, she liked that it allowed her maximum movement!
Yuri was on the ground stretching when Doli showed up behind her. She smiled at her with a chuckle. "Come now, I don't show off on purpose!" Yuri said as she stood up, stretching out her arms and back before shaking her body for a moment to release any tension. "Besides, that was a good jump you did there. Most girls dont seem to manage to make it over the bar." Yuri said with a grin as she took her place.
She had her eyes on the mark....3...2...1 and she was off. She got in a short run before she hit the mat and jumped, clearing the bar with ease as she landed, grinning as she turned around. She turn walked over to Doli, while rolling her shoulders. "I wish they would make the bar a little higher, it seems to easy. Then again, if they did that hardly anyone would make it over." Yuri said as she turned around, seeing a girl ram into the bar, seems she forgot to jump.
