The woman loves her three daughters very much, but given their family's financial situation, Shana does not get to see much of her mother. Amano works three jobs to support her family. Firstly, and most importantly, she takes care of their family's flower shop which also doubles as their family's home. By the time Shana and her sisters return home from school, however, Amano is usually closing up shop to head to her second job as a factory worker for women's lingerie production. And if this wasn't enough, on weekends she works at her part-time job as a cleaning lady. Although Shana doesn't often show it, she realizes the sacrifices that her mother has made for her. Yuriko Hitoehi: Yuriko Hitoehi is Shana's older sister. Yuriko is just a bit more than five years older than Shana. This difference in maturity level is readily apparent. As their mother is so busy, Yuri is often in charge of the household, and thus she must babysit her little sisters almost every day. She's become somewhat of a mother figure to them and has full authority in the household. An angry Yuriko is one of the only people capable of scaring Shana enough to make her stop acting out. Despite this, Shana loves her sister and would go through any length to protect her. Hanako Hitoehi Hanako Hitoehi is Shana's younger sister by almost two years. Shana enjoys teasing her younger sister,and will sometimes go so far as to pick on her. She does think that Hanako is a bit silly and even more annoying. If Hanako does get too close, she may at times even tell her that she's the reason their father left (to get away from her). Despite her habitual bullying of Hanako though, Shana does care about her and would never allow someone else to pick on her. APPEARANCE: Shana is a small, and somewhat scrawny young girl, however she does have enough muscle to pack quite a punch Even though she is one of the smaller students in her class, it's not wise to pick a fight with her; something that some students figure out the hard way. Shana has long blonde hair which she will usually wear in pig tails. Her skin is smooth, and despite her many adventures and battles, it remains unscathed. This doesn't mean she hasn't gotten hurt, but even when she is, her young body has proved its resilience. Despite being a tomboy, Shana does not dress as such. She'll often wear skirts and dresses which result in her undergarments showing on many occasions due to her active nature. But what she hates most of all is being told what to wear. PERSONALITY: Shana has a highly mischievous nature and, as such, has deemed herself to be the Queen of Pranksters. She will go to great lengths to pull pranks on her peers, and even her family. Whether her prank works out well or not doesn't matter much to her. It isn't the success of a prank that she pulls that matters. The reason that she pulls the pranks in the first place isn't actually to prank people, but rather to get their attention. She craves attention. However, as she isn't very spectacular in anything that she thinks could get her positive attention (things such as sports, school etc.), she tries to get attention the easy way by pulling pranks. Despite Shana's mischievous nature she has shown herself to care deeply for her friends and family, going to any length to defend them. She cares just as much about protecting them as she does pranking them. She will not tolerate anyone saying anything bad about her family, especially her mother. At school, Shana is known to be a trouble maker. She has gotten suspended numerous times and has been known to start fights with other students. She starts these fights often to defend her honor. Even though she has given herself the reputation as the class clown and made herself a target for the jokes and unfriendly comments of her peers, she will not tolerate them saying anything bad about her. Even the slightest insult will get on Shana's bad side. While she doesn't lose her temper easily, she feels that she must defend herself in such situations. When she is at home and not pulling pranks, she'll usually spend most of her time playing video games, the majority of which are Digimon. She'll play her video games for hours at a time if she isn't stopped, only because she enjoys feeling as though she is escaping into some other world. Even more so because in videogames she feels like power is within her locus of control. On the inside, she is actually a very vulnerable girl who cares deeply about what others think about her, despite her thick exterior. Some nights, she will break down into tears crying, without seeming to have a reason for it. HISTORY: Only a bit more than a year after Shana's birth, Shana's father left the family. As such, Shana has no memory of him, although out of her sister's, everyone has agreed that she looks and acts the most like him. There are many uncanny similarities between herself and her father. She has his eyes, his face, his complexion, and even his strong sense of pride. Perhaps this is the reason that, even though she hasn't met him, she feels like she has a naturally strong connection with him, even more so than her sisters. At the same time, however, his disappearance has perhaps been the most painful for her. She has wondered for her entire life the reason why her father left. At times she wondered if she was at fault for it. He had stayed there for her older sister, Yuri, but shortly after her own birth, he had left. Signs pointed to her being the reason for it, although she would never vocalize this guilt she felt towards her mother and sister. She would always keep it bottled up inside. She didn't believe anyone else needed to be bothered by the likes of her own problems. When Shana entered school, she would continue attempting to hide her insecurities and vulnerabilities by keeping the composure of a thick-skinned and sometimes oblivious young girl. In her class, she became known as the clown. She was always pulling pranks on the students and teachers, which resulted in her getting in a lot of trouble. Still however, that trouble was nothing compared to the trouble she would get into because of her physical altercations. It wouldn't be much of an exaggeration to say that she had attempted to beat up everyone in her class once. The slightest provocation could result in her wrath. Luckily the principal was very forgiving, at least for her. Since she started grade school she has been suspended for seven different physical altercations.

Despite being a virus Digimon whose name propagates a variety of negative stereotypes, DemiDevimon is actually very kind and loving. He does as best he can to stick to Shana at almost all times and desires her affection. While fighting is always the last thing on his mind, if it comes down to it, he will put his life on the line to protect his tamer, Shana. Unfortunately, outside of protecting Shana he can be quite the coward. And when it comes to direct confrontation, he would rather cajole his enemies and avoid combat.
