does the blue card play a part in this rp?
does it still appear, or do we not need it anymore?

Its all up to you on whether you wise to use it or not. Considering that the blue card evolves digi-volution, you can use it when you can make it appear when you have the required amount of DP during your first attempt at digi-volving to a certain level. But I personally don't think you have to use it...
So its all up to you and how you want to play the game. But like I said, it should only appear only when you have the required amount of DP to actually digi-volve, outside of that...you can digi-volve with the cards they have in the shop and those are for limited periods of time.
