I was looking at how many 'points' we need to get before we digivolve, but once we get there, would we really need a card to help? Or can they digivolve on their own once they reach the certain level?

For example:

You need 450 points to digivolve to champion.

After you have reached the level on your own, you don't need a card anymore, and you're not restricted to a short duration like with the card.
