Soon after his klingon promotion, Hashim ordered to set up a staging camp for his newfound army on the borders with the dino land. He couldn't have picked up a better spot - they were still in black omnimon's space, and close enough to stage small raids into enemy territory. The troops were not complete newbies to warfare, thus it was not too dangerous to place the camps so close to the enemy...
- Dzzzzt! - Hashim's wings let out a sound as he performed somewhat an evasive maneuver from the blade of air Harley threw at him. He took what he promised by heart, and practiced flight and fight whenever he had spare time. And since Harley was pretty much the best flyer in their corps, it was a natural choice. He got better, but still was quite clumsy.
They were practicing this thing for about two hours now. He did not feel any tired, bug wings worked differently than a birds, so they can fly for who knows how long, and not feel tired. Abut the harpy ... well, he did not know, and simply hovered in the air, waiting for another attack.
- Hey! You ok for another round? - he called out...

"*gasp*, *gasp*"
The harpymon was almost out of air after having a non stop aerial control and aerial battle practice, whatever the triceramon did to their leader was brutally effective, he went from zero to hero in no time and now he even outlasted the stamina of somebody who had been flying since a few years ago. That data sphere was quite something and made of who once was a shamamon an efficient warrior.
She tried to unleash once more her wind blades, but her wings were exhausted and strained and she could do nothing but suddenly start descending because she ran out of energy.
"Commander ... can't ... anymore ..."
Harley descended to ground level and kneeled down in front of her beloved leader, humbly accepting his superiority as she remained immobile, gasping and slowly breathing normally again, her heart was beating intensely and her breaking was faster than usual due the intensity of the training and now she was in no shape to continue. She was a mere scout, not a frontline warrior who could go and continue all the time.

Hashim was kinda getting the idea the harpymon would be tired by now, but he got really worried when she suddenly went down, descending quickly. Fortunately, she did not hurt herself or anything, and managed to land safely. He followed, in a rather zig-zagging fashion - for some reason it was not easy for him to fly in a straight line, but, taking in consideration he was in this form only for a couple of days, that was a wast improvement.
- Jeez Harley, you could have just told me you were tired. No need to push yourself to the limit, tis I who should be pushed to it. not the other way around... - he sighed out. It was not his intention to work a perfectly good soldier to death. He passed her a water bottle - not really needed it much, because ... well, he had trouble figuring where his own mouth was. This new body sure was full of surprises.
- Enough for today, I think... You alright? - he asked, and looked away - there were still some things needed to be checked upon, but those would take place after his trusted lieutenant regains her breath - she looked pretty beat. There was no reason to force her like she did herself for no apparent reason. They had some other things to do, like checking on other troops, but that could wait... for now...

"Anything ... for the commander"
She quickly nabbed the water bottle and immediately started to drink desperately the precious liquid of life. She was completely exhausted but if she could, she would've continued until the flame of her life extinguished. Commander Hashim saved her life and the lives of everybody back when they were escaping and since then she decided to devote her entire life to satisfy him, she would give life and limb for him and would even degrade herself to become his personal sexual toy if that were what he wished for. The death of her sisters hit her real hard and the only thing worth living for was to bring succeeds to the stingmon
"Ahh ... ahh ... I'm better now ... don't worry sir, we can still continue if you wish"
In no less than a minute she finished the bottle and stand up, feigning well health when it was the opposite and she could collapse in any second. From all the troops under Hashim's command, Harley was the most loyal, nothing would make her abandon the side of the commander and always tried to look strong even if her body were torn to shreds or exhausted almost to death. For the glory of her savior, anything.
And so, she took flight again, it was more like an excuse of flight because it was unbalanced and erratic. The only thing that would make her rest would be a direct order from her superior and nothing else.

Hashim would have risen his eyebrow, if, you know, he had one, when the harpymon tried pulling herself up into air, despite the fact he told her not to, and said it was enough for today. The attempt was pitiful, she could barely keep herself in the air, let alone fight. The commander shook his head - he knew that needless beyond the limit effort never is good, and always has severe consequences. Plus, it's not like he ordered her, she did it herself.
- Enough is enough. Get down this instant. - he ordered strictly. This was one of the things he did not quite like - useless bravado when he clearly asked a question about status report. And there was a rather practical and sensible reason for that too.
- And do not lie to me. When you're hurt - say you're hurt, when tired - say you're tired. I do not need you to smile and carry on when falling apart, unless it's extremely necessary. Tis like saying to a commander that we're winning the battle, while in reality - losing. Both lead to bitter results. - he sighed out. Indeed, such "blatant lies" often hid the true state of things going on. There was a difference between "Yeah, do not worry, I'm okay" and "Yes, I'm deadbeat tired, but I can go on for a couple more miles".
- I think I'll forfeit my practices for the rest of the day... As for you ... take a breathe, and come with me. On foot.

"Commander ..."
As she spoke, tears began to flow, not visible at first but they were noticeable once they appeared from below her mask, she felt at the same time horrible for having her master worry so much but happy as well, knowing that he cared enough for her to request the flying session to end now. She slowly descended and let her wings hang on her shoulders, immobile until she could regain strength.
"I want to do anything to make commander's dreams a reality, but if master wants, I can rest a little ..."
Commander this, master that, sir etc, she never actually called him by his name, she saw him as a superior being of infinite wisdom whom lesser beings like herself should address properly and show the utmost respect. Since the death of her sisters she no longer had any dream of her own and all she could do is to devote her life to the only man who treated her with respect. She was used to work herself to death, after all that's what paildramon did to her and her sisters, so she thought the commander would want her to always be optimistic and energetic even if she were breathless. Fortunately, he was a lot more reasonable than her ex-boss and most likely Hashim knew well how paildramon treated his subordinates, he too once was one of them
She followed her master's orders and followed him on foot wherever he wanted, that's what she always did and only separated from him when he requested for that, remaining to attend all his needs.

... As it was said, the training camp was stirring with activity. Combat drill grounds were everywhere - unlike many warlords, Hashim knew natural affinity to fighting is a great bonus, but between two equals, the one with better training shall triumph. And considering the bulk of his forces were goblimon, who were not exactly pro fighters, They'd need all the training they can get. And not only in combat, but also in discipline, and tactics. Hashim had a long way to go before turning them from militia to army. Raiding helpless villages was one thing, fighting an open-field battle - completely different...
- The battle we lost a week ago... - Hashim said thoughtfully, as he watched the troopers train. He thought on reasons of that defeat. And how to prevent it in the future. It was obvious that the sudden arrival of unexpected allies was not the reason, but a catalyst. The real reason behind it was a number of mistakes paildramon did during his time of leadership. One of them was ... that he lacked competent officers almost completely.
- Fortunately, I was there, and we did not rout and break up formation to be hunted down and slaughtered like animals... But if I wasn't... - he kept voicing his ideas. Now, things did not change much. The army had a new general, but it still lacked structure that would support the army from falling like a card-house should he fall. For that ... he needed officers. Officers he can trust to get the job done. But where to find them? No one was qualified, no one had any knowledge of how to fight a proper war. Troops needed officers, in all ranks, from sergeant to colonels. And those were lacking...
It was then when his eyes were set upon Harly again. He noticed the water on her blue eyes. Poor thing, she had gone through a lot during this horrible week, and it left her scarred. Hashim and she were friends during their servitude under paildramon, but nothing special really, and now ... she was clinging to him, not literally, but still. She was present anywhere he went, like a stalker, and expressed so much devotion, both in words, and deeds. It was not very healthy for her, and maybe should be treated ... or exploited.
- Harley ... I've been thinking... During this hard times of forming a new army, I have to form a new command roster as well. I cannot multiply myself to be everywhere... So... considering I know you for quite some time now... Have you ... ever been interested in becoming an officer, rather than a simple soldier?

"That battle ..."
She quietly walked along her commander simply enjoying his company, but the moment he mentioned that battle ... no, better said the moment he mentioned that one sided massacre .... she began to walk slower and slower until she remained frozen a bit behind the stingmon, she was again reliving the horrible experience of seeing her sisters being torn apart, the head of one of them being squashed by the powerful stomp of a greymon who grounded her, another who was chomped to death by a monodramon while the less fortunate ones become roasted chicken, being ignited by the countless fire projectile launched at them, condemning the harpymon sisters to suffer a horrible agony as flames consumed their bodies; and there she was Harley, witnessing the horror as paralyzed by fear, her primal instinct for survival kicked in and she instinctively escapes like a a mere animal from the battlefield at the same time Hashim organized the escape. All she could hear was his voice as her body moved on its own guided by Hashim's words until finding safety in the forest, there she recovered control of herself and was consoled by the then shamamon.
The horror ... she couldn't bear with the pain and clinged to Hashim for support, that mere act of kindness shown completely convincing her to devote her entire life to him, her savior. He already get along well with the sisters in the past, but in that moment of absolute weakness that gesture felt as if he gave her a new life to live.
Then, she felt how her master was looking at her and said words that truly pulled her out of the trauma induced trance; she was being promoted, she was getting closer to him! She wiped the tears and her eyes showed nothing but eternal gratitude for him.
"Commander, it will be a great honor! I will do anything for you, I will train to become your best officer, I will become your eyes and ears when you cannot be here!"
Yes, yes! Commander was being nice with her again, commander maybe even liked her! She might never see her sisters again, but as long commander was with her and appreciated all she did for him she felt like she could do anything, ANYTHING!

Harley agreed, just like Hashim thought she would. He would have smiled, if he still was able to do it - this new face and body rendered his somewhat unable to show many emotions with his face expression. It was always those eyes, and hard facial exterior in a form of a helmet. That's how exoskeleton worked - it protected you like an armor suit, but had its drawbacks. Still, even though she accepted, and rather eagerly at that, there was still much work to be done.
- It will also be a great responsibility. At the moment you would not make a good officer even if it would have saved your life. You know very little about what a good officer need to know in order to be efficient. But that is changeable. I possess such knowledge, and I will teach you. But there are few base things that you must remember. Two, actually. First ... - anyone makes mistakes... - hr said and made a pause, to let the message sink in. The explanation came afterwards:
- Even I can make them. So ... as my officer, you will have the responsibility of informing me if I am making a mistake in my plans, also you'll be tasked to come up with ideas. You will have to accept that I am not infallible, and greatest favor you could ever do me is to save me from such mistakes... - the stingmon said, arms crossed behind him, as he focused on the soldiers training.
- And second - honesty. Just like I told you after our training. You will be obliged to tell the truth, no matter how harsh it would be. Lying will only only do our enemies a favor. But I believe you will become a great officer, you have potential. - he said encouragingly, while, in reality ... well, it was a half-truth. Harley had ... average talents required for an officer, there were some more apt than her, but she had some none of previous possessed. Loyalty and zeal. Zeal was enough to overcome lack of natural affinity to command, and loyalty ... that's why she wanted her for this position - he wanted a loyal officer, the one who would not be scheming behind his back. Such were hard to find.
- Come, there is someone I would like you to meet. I'll show you how a real officer should be like... - with that Hashim set his path forward, towards the training grounds that were the camp...

"I'm not good now, but I can learn from my mistakes to become an useful officer for you, teach me commander, teach me how to become a true leader like you!"
Her spirits were high again, her commander was PERSONALLY become her mentor and there was nothing better than that to cheep up the clingy harpymon. He said things about he being able to commit mistakes, but that was wrong, he was too perfect to commit mistakes, but she was still going to do what he asked in the case somehow he, most likely due incompetence of somebody else, made any mistake.
"From now on I'm not lying anymore, if I'm tired, I'm not hiding it, if somebody speaks bad about you, I will not hide it, there will be no lies here as long I'm here!"
She only wanted to help him ... but if being honest helped the commander, she was going to become the most honest digimon in the universe, no lie would be said while she was there and anyone who lied would be reported to Hashim for the crime of lying.
She blindly followed her commander as he promised to take her somewhere she could see how a real officer was. The road led to the training ground and the harpymon wondered who between all his troops was so awesome and epic to have the SUPER ULTIMATE honor of being worthy of Hashim's praise, in her imagination only the best of the best deserved Hashim's attention and the only one so far she saw as somebody like that was the triceramon who came here before, he was a bit rude with the commander at first, but the commander looked up to him so if the commander thought he was awesome, then Harley too thought he was awesome.
