"Ugh .."
The situation wasn't very good for the heroes. While Ciel was strong, the enemy vastly outnumbered her and finally a few fireballs managed to slip through her skilled sowrdsmanship and burned a little her skin. That wouldn't be that bad if only that were the case but also close combat troops were arriving to Tylo and hers' position. She excelled at single duel combat, but her lack of projectile attacks gave her pretty poor crowd control abilities and she had no other choice than descend and defeat one by one or sometimes two by two those vermins.
"Tylo, if you have recovered already try to shoot more missiles here where!"
Luckily while she lacked of attacks with area of effect, Tylo actually excelled in them and his missile party attack could easily rain death on a generous area, he was really a digimon built for war and everything about him screamed "all terrain strategic ballistic platform" with an added bonus of being quite fast. Hopefully he was recoverd enough to shoot a few missiles on the group of goblimon and if his sight wasn't healed yet, at least he could follow Ciel's voice, she could fly and dodge the missiles the moment Tylo shot them

- Who what where? - the Tylomon was still pretty confused as the fighting ravaged around him. However, he was soon becoming more attached to the surroundings and figured out they were inside the enemy base. There were goblimon everywhere, some shooting and some fighting... it all seemed very familiar. The troops... He thought they were to fight devil armies, but all he saw around were goblimons and their evolved forms.
Then he heard Ciel's voice again. Though he did not managed to figure out what she was saying in the heat of battle, but he figured she was in trouble and needed his help, badly. And such a plea completely switched off any consideration for self-preservation - f*ck danger, teh teacher was in trouble! The shark bore much superficial battle-damage from these weak fireballs, but he was able to fight for a very long tome still - his armor was charred, but not quite penetrated.
- C'MERE YOU SONS OF BASTARDS AND WHORES! - the shark roared as he charged right against the enemy goblimon platoon attack, both powers going in a head - on collision. Oooh, that would end up with a bang, big one - mass of a dozen smaller digimon versus mass of a one bigand fast armored champion... No pasaran...

- C'mon men! - the Ogremon lead the charge of the goblimon platoon against the two champions that broke through the fortifications. The onslaught was promising to give results, but, to great disappointment, the angel slipped into air at the last moment, trying to pick the troops off one by one, but did not succeed much, because the enemies simply picked another target for their charge - the shark digimon, who retaliated with exactly the same - charged against them. And those two forces went in collision...
The shark slammed right into the center of the enemy line, several troops got slashed with his razor fins, and the formation broke, The shark received several cuts and gashes on his body, which started to bleed - those halberds, if applied correctly, were a good armor-piercing weapon. But that was not the worst part. The shark rammed straight into the big ogremon, who was strong enough to stop the shark from pushing him back, and the tylomon's assault ended in a halt.
- AAARGH! - the ogremon sergeant roared when the shark pit him pn his shoulder, and tore aside, ripping flesh away with its razor teeth as they struggled, but refused to let go. Several surviving goblimon, who were just knocked down, picked their weapons up and joined back into the fray, one stabbing his halberd deep into the shark's back, making it drop the wounded ogremon and face new bastards.
- We're winning! Attack! - the other platoon that kept firing from cover mounted another charge to reinforce those who stopped the shark's advance, though their advance was not quite as epic as the charge of the first brigade. Meanwhile some more ranks of goblimon appeared on the walls, reinforcements came from other sectors, as well as several demons, who figured those they were looking for were already here... Things were not quite looking good, but then...
... The city defenders' attack on the part of the wall where they saw the fighting was sudden, yet unprepared. The walls looking to them were long-finished, and they came around only with couple of ladders to boot their advance. The angels that arrived encountered the demons in the air, and a bloodbath ensured above, as well as below. The goblimon reinforcements were forced to clash arms with the local ground force, who went over the top using whatever ladders they had, and soon frantic fighting ensued on the walls as well. More sirens were sounded as the point was about to become a major battle. Goblimon fought enemy ground troops, angels fought demons in the air, and suddenly, in between the bloodbath that began so suddenly a thunder-like voice was heard from above:
- To arms, warriors of light! God is with us!
And the only thing that responded to such a call was malicious screams of the devils that came to kill and destroy, and a volley of fire blasts shot by some goblimon platoon at the sound of the voice - the little guys sure had spunk to dare that...

"Tylo!"
Ohhh, now those goblins really did it, Ciel was already pissed off enough for parallelmon and the devils messing with her and didn't really care if more came and aimed their weapons to her, but those midgets dared to hurt her only one student and now had to be punished.
The angel digimon dived into the area where she heard Tylo's scream and the first thing she did was to plunged one of her sword into the skull of the foolish goblimon who stabbed the tylomon with a spear, the thing never realized that he was dead until it was too late, then she started slashing and stabbing all those midgets around Tylo and at the end decided to attack the ogremon squad leader. She swung her twin blades at him, attempting to decapitate him and paid no attention to the remaining goblimons around her, she had to save Tylo because he was her morality pet. Were he to die there ... she wouldn't take it nicely and this place would become an even bigger slaughterhouse.

Things weren't going too well for Tylomon - he did not have wings to fly away or swords to parry blows, so he had to face an overwhelming number of enemies on the ground. And despite killing and injuring many a goblimon, but he still was losing. The little midgets fought frantically, and the armored shark was weakening from injuries, and slowly losing ground to the ogremon. But then it happened...
Sone goblimon managed to stick his halberd deep into the armored shark's back, but it had the opposite results of what they expected. Pain did not make the tylomon weaker, only stronger, because now he was driven with rage, blinded with fury. After the teacher's blades decapitated the ogremon, the shark went berserk, his tail and fins tossing surrounding goblimon aside as he charged into ... anywhere really, spraying missiles everywhere as he went on...
- DIE DIE DIE! - the rage-filled roar was heard across the encampment...

When the ogremon sergeant fell, the goblimon of those two platoons that fought the darcmon and the tylomon lost much heart. They already lost at least a dozen goblimon to the enemy blows and blades, but the officer on the field kept drawing them forward to attack. With him dead in such a gruesome way ... the remains of platoons routed, only several times turning around to toss a random fireball, as they ran. Not that their absence would change anything...
Meanwhile the frenetic attack the defenders staged was ... not going well. The goblimon managed to push back the attackers everywhere from the walls, destroying several ladders, and was now raining fire on them from above the parapets. The locals were brave, but they weren't soldiers either, and without siege equipment they ultimately failed to take over even such a field fortification.
The air battle above was going with uncertain results. While the angels obviously fought more valiantly, the devils had reinforcements coming to them all the time, and the angels were slowly losing their numbers to them. And on the ground the goblimon were replaced with a group of devimon, who were clearly having an intent of ripping our two heroes apart. Stop playing with kiddies, friends, and take on someone your own size...
It was at that moment when a steel bird descended from the sky, positioning itself in between the two and the demon party that arrived. But it was not as a mere bird, oh no... Gleaming metal feathers, shining swords and magnificent armor - all that towered over the pitiful devils, who looked puny compared to this warrior marvel. Several angemon broke from the air battle as well to join their leader, but they were here not to battle. They extended their hands towards the gates, and the combined power of their holy hands managed to blast a hole through. Unfortunately that breach was not possible to be used for offence against the fortifications - their attack was exhausted already... This was a way of retreat for those who desperately fought within...
- Fall back! - a powerful, authoritative voice said to the shark and the darkmon, and then the slashangemon turned around to face the demons that just kept coming about. - And I will deal with this vermin...

"Hah ... ahh ..."
This was insane! They just recently completely bypassed most of the defensive buildings and troops, yet more and more goblimons continued appearing. What's more, now even some devils arrived to the battlefield thanks to how the goblimon and ogremon stalled the two intruders for enough time for other troops to arrive.
"Tylo .. you ok?"
Now Ciel's very eyes were blinded by the blood of his enemies and her own and her body showed a few bruises and cuts from the almost endless waves of goblimon, they had to hurry and abandon this hellhole before the devils sandwiched them against the goblimons and they had nowhere to run. But then, a steel-clad warrior appeared from the heavens and ordered the two heroes with an imposing voice to fall back, it was a slash angemon, one of the strongest angels in the world.
"Slash ... angemon ... Tylo, stop and march towards the city"
Both of them needed of a good rest and the frenzied Tylomon had to be calmed down, so Ciel once more flew and descended on the shark's back and quietly rubbed his head, hoping that would calm the fierce beast, at least enough to redirect his energies to escaping,

The tylomon continued his raging, yet quite aimless rampage across the small battlefield, but to little avail. Goblimons he fought all fled, instead replaced by much stronger foes, and his own blood went across his eyes, impairing vision once again, so he just shot his missiles and thrashed around aimlessly. He did not know the fight is over, he just wanted to kill somebody.
But then he felt a gentle touch of somebody's hand a very familiar voice, which was probably the only thing that was able to calm his rage at least a bit. Tylomon was more a dinosaur, and self-control over darker emotions was not one of their virtues. Ciel was more ... human-like, she was able to keep her face even when her mind was clouded by rage, while Tylo ... he was just degrading into a vicious animal every time. It was not exactly the thing he was proud for.
- I'm angry... You won't like me when I'm angry... - he hissed, slowly calming down under the angel's influence. He managed to whip the blood away with his fins and look around. His eyes focused on the magestic steel warrior that stood between them and a couple of devimon. He told them to leave, and ... it was pretty hard not to obey such a powerful voice.
- I'm alright Ciel, I'm battleship... - he answered with his stock phrase - he'd never admit he's hurt, not while he can move, and not to her especially. Or else she'd probably be worrying about his well - being even more, and Tylo hated when somebody got worried over him. He was a flying dreadnaught after all, he must never complain.
He went at the breach the angels made to escape into the city, or ... get trapped inside it along with the rest of the angles and inhabitants? They were really going into one huge trap, but apparently they didn't care. As they went through the breach and the sight of the slashangemon disappeared, the shark asked very shyly: - And... um... would you mind getting that pointy thing out of me teach? Tis annoying... - the last proposition was a huge uderstatement, but he had to act tough, right?

"Yes, you are a good battleship ..."
Funny, usually she acted a battle hardened veteran warrior but now that image looked like the one of a mother tending to her injured son, one that delicately removed a "splinter" the size of a spear out of his body. It was quite the odd sight in the middle of a battlefield and it didn't last for longer, once the tylomon was calmed down and no longer had that spear impaling him, she took flight again and continued moving towards the angel-controlled city along the prehistoric shark.
"Let's go in and take a well deserved rest. We barely reduced the number of enemies, but this chaos and the knowledge that only two digimon were enough to breakthrough their defenses will be a considerable hit to their morale"
There was nothing else to do, they already fulfilled their mission and that was all that mattered. Once inside, they had to relay lord Myotis's message to angewomon and their promise to the myotismon would be finally honored

The slashangemon and the horde of demons facing him looked at each other without any words, but hate was clearly visible in both their eyes. None dared to attack - the demon horde was too scared to attack the mighty champion of truth and justice, who was covered with blades sharp enough to slash through anything. The angel on the other hand was hesitating as well, but for reason other than cowardice - should he get injured in a pointless battle against an overwhelming foe - all would be lost, without him the defense will surely fall.
He hoped to see considerable reinforcements breaking the blockade from the other side, but all he saw were two champions, granted one of them was an angel, and another some shark monster. But what are two more when they face thousands? And in that charge he lost a lot of good people, maybe they lost even more than they managed to kill... Maybe it was a mistake...
The angels then soared into air and sounded the retreat, there was no reason to lead more into the slaughter against the devils and the goblimon up the walls, when the objective was completed, though it was not quite as rewarding as he hoped. Sighing on so many lives lost in a nearly pointless battle, the angel host and the local militia withdrew from the walls, disappearing back into the darkness of the city...
