Surprisingly, the renamon was strong enough to withstand a fierce rod smash and even managed to catch it between her hands. She truly had the devil's luck the angemon wondered as her pressed against his foe in a attempt to overpower her and teach the pitiful sinner the power of justice.
"To taint my sacred weapon with your filthy hands ... a quick and painless death is too good for you"
He continued holding his rod with his right hand and he relentlessly started to punch the fox digimon in the face with his free hand. A sequence of straight punches, back hand blows and at the end an attempt to grab her throat and choke her to death were the course of action the angelical digimon took, and he had every intention to either punch her enough times to make her fall on the ground and continue there or catch her throat and slowly press her neck until it snapped and she suffered a horrible and agonizing death, both scenarios satisfied the angemon and he wouldn't stop until the vulpine beast paid with her pain for her sins.

- Ugh... - Renee gave out a slight moan and tucked her head in her shoulders when the angel started punching her. She overestimated her own strength ... again - the enemy was able to hold his rod in one hand and still not allow her to tear it away. Time was running out, the flight card could only hold for so long, and once on the ground again - she would be done for. The fox started regretting already that she picked up a fight with such a foe, but she would not show fear - that meant certain defeat.
- For hate's sake, I spit at thee... - she hissed and spat right in the angel's self-righteous face, hoping that would distract him, at least for a moment. She couldn't take any more of those punches, and decided to let go of the staff - she was inside of his guard anyway, so she charged at him, her hands and legs ablaze in ghastly-blue flames, and delivered a volley of punches of her own, aiming at legs and torso... ------------

Ishaan couldn’t simply ignore the destruction of this shrine. It was a good place... a nice place... and if he helped in time, then it could still be saved, couldn’t it? Nevertheless, he couldn’t stand by and allow this fighting to continue, even if one of the creatures was that fox thing from before. Which could mean that the man with the gun was somewhere nearby...
The boy was foolish though, he didn’t believe that anyone could truly be a bad person. He wanted to help, maybe that was all they needed, to be shown some kindness. It was worth a try.
Cutting through the sky, Patamon flew toward the fighting while Ishaan ran at a slower pace behind him. The orange digimon didn’t appear as though he was very pleased with what he was witnessing right now, so much fighting, why...? ”Heeey! Stop fighting!!” he cried out as he neared the two digimon. And just as that was being said, the boy quickly swiped a card through his digivice, stopping hopefully just far enough away that he wouldn’t find himself in any immediate danger.
A barrier soon appeared like a bubble around Patamon and he wasted no time in swooping in to put himself between Renamon and Angemon. He could see that the fox digimon was hurt, and if she wanted to survive this then she would get out of here while she still had the chance! “Hurry, get out of here!” the monk called out to Renamon and Laurence. Did he think he could take the angel on? Well... no, but he was hoping that he could distract it long enough and then escape himself.
Name: Wizardmon's Spell Duration: 3 Posts Color: Gold Effect: Creates barrier around the digimon modified by this card which can easily withstand up to a Champion Level Attack. The radius of this barrier is variable. This barrier protects all those inside from all outside attacks, but also prevents those on the inside from attacking as well. If attacked by an Ultimate Level Attack, the shield is shattered but it defends that one attack. If attacked by a Mega Level or higher, the shield is not strong enough to defend.

*splash!*, the saliva of the vulpine digimon impacted right into the part of the angemon's face unprotected by his large metallic helmet. The sticky liquid mixed with blood slowly descended from near his mouth until it stopped on his chin, dripping and falling to the sacred soil behind them as rage invaded the angemon's soul, he was furious.
His muscles tensed and the angemon could only wipe away the saliva using his free hand while the renamon found again her lost freedom using her sticky distraction and started to punch and kick him with flaming intensity. However, no strike managed to even make the angemon flich for his body was hardened to the point of being as tough like an iron wall and the angemon himself felt no pain for the only emotion he could feel was anger ... an oddly calm anger.
"Move out, little one, this is not your battle"
Unlike in his previous bursts of weaker anger, this time his voice sounded like he was calm rather than permanently angry, and his mind seemed to be clean and focused, he didn't even bother with the patamon that got between he and the renamon and tossed him aside, barrier included, with a simple backhand punch. His barrier might be strong, but it didn't turn him into an unmovable force.
And then it happened, a loud voice from below calling at the renamon and somebody else ... it was a human, a human partnered with a digimon, a team of tamer and digimon.
"A human ... now I understand from where this renamon acquired her strength"
If the young human had as intention to distract the angemon, his actions actually spelled doom on the renamon and her helper. Now he knew that she was being supported by a human tamer as where there is one, there's bound to be more, and cutting her power source was the best method to get rid of her.
"So this is the reason why you become so aggressive, you had a human partner all the time and thought that I destroyed him. It is time to even the odds through a divine punishment"
Said that, the celestial being once again raised to the heavens, irradiating even more light than before and searching for the one who was giving strength to the renamon. Despite the interruption they caused, he was going to spare the kid and the patamon for patamon were creatures with holy potential, capable of becoming celestial beings like himself, but he was going to show no mercy for the fox digimon and whoever was her human partner. Not wasting more time, he released several low power (to save energy) hands of fate beams on anything that looked suspicious within the shrine area, with the sole intention of forcing the human to leave his hideout and face like a true man his fate.

Renee was close to becoming desperate in a true meaning of that word - her punches didn't really make much of a difference - she felt like punching into a stone wall - it didn't really bothered the fearsome foe at all - the only thing that managed to get to him was her spit, though she knew you can't harm anything with it, well, maybe pride. With every punch that did not work her faith wavered. She couldn't win this fight - that was obvious, and yet she couldn't leave, not yet - not with her tamer around...
The barrier-carrying patamon came just in time - the angel was probably going to backhand her again, but instead he had to deal with the nigh-invulnerable digimon, at least for the moment. At that time she did not expect how grimly their appearance would change the situation. And she was too dazed and damaged to realize she saw the patamon before, as well as the human - her mind bore little thoughts, most consumed by fear, rage and pain...
When the angel started blasting he surroundings again, Renee's eyes widened beyond any proportion. He knew her secret now, and he was after it, just like she would, were she in his place. The beams went left and right, but it wouldn't be long before these death rays would be pointed at the hiding place of her tamer... And he couldn't survive that blast, humans were not digimon, they were ... fragile. There, another blast, that went on way too close. The next one will hit the bullseye.
Swooping to the ground, using what remained of the flying card, renamon blocked the ray that was coming at her tamer with her body. The beam was underpowered, which was the only thing that saved her. It went right across her face, stopping for a little longer at the eye, and a horrible screech of pain was heard throughout the battlefield... When the attack stopped, half of the renamon's face was charred and burned.
- My eye ... where is my eye... I cannot feel it... - she whispered, barely standing on her two legs, being paralyzed by sudden pain that engulfed her mind, unable to do pretty much anything. Another hit like that and she was done for. Larry watched with horror as his digimon took the shot for him. Enough was enough, this fight was lost, she could not continue it. But he could, at least for a short while.
- You seek me, you filthy bastard? Here I am! - he shouted loud enough, and, shifting from cover to cover, the man started shooting at the flying nemesis, not hoping to actually do some damage, but to win enough time for Renee to gather her wits and escape.
And the helicopters were two minutes away...

Shoved aside by the Angemon’s powerful force, Patamon found himself flying backwards through the air with the bubble of protection still present around his body. ”Hmph...” the orange digimon huffed, bringing himself to a halt in mid-air. He didn’t know what else to do, as neither he nor Ishaan really wanted to fight this digimon, they only wanted to stop the fighting that they were currently witnessing. The monk watched as the attacks continued, back and forth. Now, however, from digimon to human, rather than from digimon to digimon. The fox one, it was injured, and there that man was with the gun again...
How was this going to end up? The boy had little to no knowledge about how this sort of thing... went. But he needed a strategy, some kind of way to stop the fighting. ...Nothing was coming though, it didn’t look as though the back and forth assault would end until someone ended up injured even more than Renamon was already.
“Get between them again, Patamon,” he called up to the flying digimon, his partner soon nodded to his advice and flew over toward the two digimon again. Suddenly, the monk saw movement and then quite a few loud banging noises in rapid succession. "...How's that gonna help?!" he called out to the trigger happy Hypnos member.
As Larry’s gunfire lit up the area, the orange digimon swooped down to where he saw the fox, stopping just in front of her and facing the angel digimon again. Determination was clear in his eyes, the little digimon didn’t intend to back down. And for now, the defense he had from the modify card still held as he stood in front of Renamon. ”You shouldn’t be fighting each other,” Patamon grumbled, truthfully, he was a bit annoyed.

"Such a death wish, I shall honor your bravery by delivering to you a painless and quick death"
The angemon wanted to simply erase this human with a fully powered hands of fate, but the man had a gun with him and he didn't hesitate at all in using it. The celestial being attempted to stop the projectiles with his spinning rod movement, but the man was a quick shot and one of the man-made projectiles inserted itself in the right side of his abdomen, causing a rather nasty bullet injury. Luckily for the angemon, his rod defense managed to stop the rest of the bullets, although the one that hit him handicapped him.
"Such is the destructive and brutal power of mankind's cruel and cunning intellect, abominable weapons like that are the very first thing I shall destroy once I unleash the divine judgment on this world"
He noticed how the patamon was defending the renamon he previously injured, but he was no longer interested in the digimon, all he wanted was to destroy this human and all the other humans who dared to defy the will of the heavens creating such horrible weapons. Despite his bleeding wound, the angemon was still as capable of fighting as before, although his strength and vitality diminished. With nothing else to do other than quickly dispatch the human, he once more raised high in the sky to be a hard to hit target for those small bullets and charged energy within one of his fists to unleash a hand of fate capable not only of shatter the earth itself but to also completely burn the insolent human to ashes. Nothing short of a miracle could now save that human from death ... well, maybe a well timed teleport or a magical barrier, or even support fire from a battle chopper ... actually there were many things that could save the human, but the angemon was confident it was an inescapable situation for the son of adam and eve XD

- Ha! Hurt, didn't it?! There's more where that came from, you filthy scum! - Larry shouted, after seeing his shooting managed to make a dent on the bastard angel which seemed all but invincible until this moment. This was good, for if it can bleed - it can be killed too. And Larry was in high spirits upon seeing the digimon that hurt Renee so badly suffer. For what he did, he deserved to die, and Larry had lots of bullets to try his luck.
But, when the angel went higher, the young man figured an attack from above will come, one that would probably be aimed at him rather than at Renamon, who went out of commission for good. And after witnessing what the lasers angel shot were capable of, he figured he might need a more solid cover rather than tombstones. That's when he set his eyes upon the barrierized Patamon, and his nigh-invulnerable defense barrier. A perfect cover. Before the flying menace could launch another attack, Larry dashed towards the barrier, hiding behind it, and facing Renee, who still didn't quite shake off the pain shock.
- My eye... - she kept muttering, covering the ugly hole in her head with a palm. She had no fighting spirit left, her mind was consumed by fear and pain. Larry barely held himself not to turn away, and shook her by the shoulder.
- Snap out of it Renee! Run! Flee! I order you! - his shout made the fox return to this reality, her dazed glare replaced with some sort of a focus. He didn't have to tell her twice to run. She ... was scared of the powerful holy menace from the skies, the last attack leaving nothing of her self-confidence and pride. Not even thinking about what would happen to her tamer, she ran, as fast as she could, away. She had received an order to save herself, and so she did...
- Humanity is not defenseless you sick ****! - Larry shouted in rage, shooting at the angel frantically, emptying one clip after another. His job was to win time, just a bit more time. And soon, the time had come. From somewhere away, a familiar sound of chopper blades cutting through the wind was heard - the cavalry had arrived, finally. And packing a lot more firepower than a mere handgun.
- You're done for, angel! You hear that?! That's your doom approaching at 300 miles per hour! - Larry shouted once more upon hearing the sounds he waited so long for... ------------
Mireil, I'll leave it up to you to describe, how the angel was destroyed xD

Surprising as it was, despite he and Patamon's urging, the fighting still continued. The foolish adult assaulted the digimon with bullet clip after bullet clip, and the Angemon returned fire in his own way. Meanwhile, Ishaan was fresh out of ideas, but he decided to be closer to his partner would be his best option, so he ran over to the orange digimon as quickly as his feet would carry him to the little guy.
For only a short time more, the barrier remained to protect Patamon from, hopefully, any attack that would try to make its way toward him. They both watched as Renamon fled, the two of them concerned about her as she had kept asking about her eye before she finally ran away... The fox digimon was injured, no doubt, but the boy wondered if ... that kind of thing could even heal or not.
Great... now the monk could distinctly hear helicopters nearing their location. Well... he wasn't exactly sure what that would mean for him, in this case, but the first time he'd met this guy, he knew full well to avoid the siren's that were getting closer to him and his friends. So what was he to do this time? Not run... he couldn't. He wouldn't leave the man to get injured by the Angemon, not if he and Patamon could help to prevent it.

The human was faster than he thought and quickly hid himself like a coward behind the protection of the patamon. It was a painful choice, but the angemon had to delete the little holy beast to destroy once for all the human begging for punishment.
"Hand of fate!"
His fully powered holy beam of light hit dead on in the target. Alas, the barrier protecting the patamon was resilient and somehow managed to endure the attack, although anyone could see that just a single attack, even a weak one, could break the powerful barrier now. The angemon accumulated again power into his fist but the constant shooting of the human and the bullet wound sustained previously delayed his plan for the injury made charging energy slower and the shooting proved to be distracting.
Finally, he was ready to unleash heavenly punishment on the foul human when the wind currents become erratic and an annoying noise got closer and closer, heralding the arrival of man-made flying vehicles.
"ghost 24 here, stalker 1. Target confirmed, opening fire"
The two abominable flying objects that arrived spitted tongues of fire and soon the sky become the sad scenario of a play where the punisher become the punisher and the sinner killed the savior in an ironic twist of fate.
"Hellspawns, do not taint the skies with your, ack!!!"
He avoided as much as he could the bullet rain attempting against his life, but no matter how much he moved or how much he spun his defensive rod, the high rate of fire from the machineguns within the helicopters made sure many of them hit the angemon's body and slowly spelled death on him.
" Monsters .... horrible ... monsters ..."
"Ahhhh!"
Eve in the agony of the inevitable death, the angemon didn't give up and using the energy accumulated to kill the human, he unleashed a hand of fate which hit right into the cockpit of one of the flying machines with enough power to break even bulletproof glass, killing the one who called himself ghost 24 and causing the devil machine to fall not very far from the Larry and co's position, crashing on an old ceremonial stone of the shrine and causing yet more collateral damage on the already damaged shrine and burning like the blazes of hell, serving as testament of mankind destroying even what it considers sacred and holy.
"Ghost 24 is down, repeat, ghost 24 is down."
The remaining helicopter continued firing on the weakened digimon, who could no longer find the strength to wield his rod and let it fall and become data as he desperately begged to his god to give him the strength to kill those heathens before the flame of his life expired. And so, with his last strength he released yet another hand of fate that barely scratched the pain of the battle chopper, which made of the digimon swiss cheese in retaliation.
"I ... can see nor hear no more .... humans are ... really monsters ... mon"
He talked no more for one bullet hit him in the head, piercing his skull and leaving a corpse where once a proud angel digimon stood. During his fall, his body become feathers of light that dissipated into the darkness as a pillar of light appeared reclaimed his holy remains and granted him the possibility of a new life in the digital world while denying the digimon below the chance of absorbing his data. Only a single feather of light reached the grounds and landed right on the patamon, as if the angemon wished for the small digimon to do what he couldn't and bring the kingdom of god to this land of sinners. And that was how the angemon meet his end, destroyed by the very infernal machines he wanted to destroy and hating with every single bit of data in his body those horrible creatures known as humans.
