The move had worked, Palmon had been struck by his surprise metal cannon attack. It couldn't possibly take much longer to bring this sorry weed down. But then the Palmon unleashed her vines upward, grabbing onto the tree branches above. She had then made to pull herself, up, but Dorumon wouldn't let her get away that easily. He leaped at the plant, attempting to bite down on her foot... root? Whatever the case, where ever Palmon was going, Dorumon was bent on hitching a ride.

Palmon thought this time she would escape for sure, but the annoying Dorumon was very, very persistent. It jumped and bit her by the lower root, hoping to drag her down to the ground. This would not happen, since the digimon was light and nimble, and Palmon's wines possessed great strength, and were able to lift both off the ground.

Palmon gritted her teeth, or whatever she had in her mouth, and swung away from tree to tree, making distance between the girl at a rather quick pace, and tried to shake the Dorumon down, but to no avail. The annoying pest just didn't let go, and the pain was slowly becoming more and more insufferable. The plant looked down on him, with fury slowly taking control over her. Now she would rather have him drop from height and get killed or something - even her benevolence had limits.

- Let go of me you little bastard! Sleep spores! - she exclaimed and spat her sleepy saliva, aiming at the digimon, who kept dragging on her foot. Then she spat again, and again, and again, angrily, to make sure the murderous furry dragon thingy gets what he deserves...

Dorumon had successfully clamped down on the Palmon's feet, and now the plant digimon was swinging around right with him. Dorumon kept his jaws clamped shut, even as the Palmon tried to shake him free. He wasn't about to let the plant go. Below them, Amber didn't let them get out of her, site, chasing after them as Palmon swung away, managing to keep somewhat close.

Meanwhile, the Palmon was using another sleep spore attack... which wouldn't be good if it hit. There was no avoiding it up here though. He simply let go, and at the very second, his mouth not even away from the Palmon's foot yet, fired a Metal Cannon attack. Fired at point blank range, there'd be no way for the Palmon to escape it, and after already wearing it down, he wouldn't be surprised if the Palmon lost her grip on the branches.

But now Dorumon was falling, from quite a height. He flapped his wings fiercely, but they were far too small to do them any good. Ambermon saw what happened, and was quick to swipe her wizardmon's spell card. Instantly a barrier formed around the Dorumon. When he hit the ground, he slowed as the barrier hit the ground, bending slightly as it absorbed the blow, before shattering from the impact, dropping Dorumon. He got up, only having taken a bit of damage from the fall. He probably couldn't say much about the Palmon though.

Effect: Creates barrier around the digimon modified by this card which can easily withstand up to a Champion Level Attack. The radius of this barrier is variable. This barrier protects all those inside from all outside attacks, but also prevents those on the inside from attacking as well. If attacked by an Ultimate Level Attack, the shield is shattered but it defends that one attack. If attacked by a Mega Level or higher, the shield is not strong enough to defend.

That metal ball in the back was the last straw. The fatigued Palmon wasn't able to take much more of this. Her wounded wine snapped in two, and the other was not enough to hold her up off the ground. Still going at a pretty fast speed, she lost her balance, flying into a small ravine, covered with more bushes and grass. She was injured greatly by the fall - she lost one limb, and her leg was out of commission for good. There was no escape.

- They got me... But I won't let them ... deliver the final blow. Go out with dignity ... I will - she muttered to herself, looking at where her enemies should show up in a moment or too. Her decision was made. With her remaining claw she pierced her chest, committing literal suicide. Her eyes glowed dimmer, and in a puff she disappeared into a cloud of data. The battle was over...

Dorumon quickly shook off the pain from the fall, and looked up to see the Palmon plummit into a nearby ravine. He ran after her, intent on finishing her off if she wasn't dead already. Skidding down the slope, he slowly approached the Palmon, just barely catching her last words before she took her own life. "Hmph. Dignity? You die as you live, traitor. Disgracing your own kind for your own selfish desires." He snarled. The Palmon soon exploded into bits of data, and the Dorumon did not hesitate to absorb it all, increasing his own strength. "At least in death you serve a noble purpose in strengthening those who stand to protect our world. That's the most you can say for yourself" He muttered absently to the now dead Palmon, before turning to return to Ambermon.

"That was impressive." Ambermon noted of Dorumon as she looked down where the Palmon had killed itself. She could only think Palmon a coward for such a move. Too scared to let her opponent win his victory fairly, she took her own life instead. She was a disgrace to the name of digimon. No less pathetic than the humans the plant creature pined after. She got what she fully deserved.

"Thanks for the help, partner." Dorumon rumbled, pressing his head into Ambermon's leg affectionately. He knew he made an excellent choice with this girl. They would both be able to support eachother in their fight to put an end to the human's destructive path.
