Amber ran. She knew she was being followed. She had been followed all day, though even though her pursuer was insistent on following her, so far who ever it was refused to show itself, even when she stopped moving. It had went from alarming to annoying rather quickly. "Come out now. I've had it enough with your foolery!" She hissed, dark eyes glaring at her surroundings. Despite her threats though, nothing appeared, her pursuer clearly seemed content to stay just out of view. "Hmph. I should have only expected such cowardice from a human." She growled.
"Who are you calling human?" Her pursuer finally spoke out. Amber who had turned to continue running in hopes of being able to psyche him out, paused and turned to see what was definitely not what she thought she was going to see. It was no human. It looked like a cross between a raptor and a wolf, and was covered in purple fur with white paws, muzzle, belly and tail tip, as well as black stripes on his ears, a pair of tiny, useless looking wings and an odd black and red triangular piece on his forehead.
"Sorry. I thought it was some idiot human trying to harass me. Wouldn't be the first." Amber responded calmly. Her annoyance had so far disappeared, but she wasn't entirely sure of this creature's intentions... whatever it was to begin with. "Why were you following me all day?"
The creature didn't respond for a moment, instead, thinking something over in his head as he stared intently at her. "You yourself are human are you not?" He questioned, so far ignoring Amber's own question.
Amber frowned, disconcerted by both the creature's failure to respond to her own question, and then asking quite an odd one, considering the obvious. "I am indeed ... human" she said, saying human in a very disgusted tone. "Though there is little I wish more for than to not be associated with such atrocious creatures." She added viciously. "So why have you been following me all day?"
The creature continued to stare some more, and Amber was beginning to become annoyed again. After a moment though the creature finally responded. "Very... intresting. Though I have been stalking you for quite a bit longer than one day." He said, beginning to pace around Amber, getting a better look at her. "I admit I was initially going after you the same reason I do any human -- to hunt them and put them down for their crimes against us Digimon, and pretty much everything else that isn't human as well." He then sniffed at Amber's cat tail, then gazed up at her cat ears, intrigued by her efforts to alter her appearance to separate herself from humans. "But you have proved yourself so very different from humans. You aren't like them, and you know what they've done wrong. You don't deserve to be associated with such fowl creatures."
Amber so far, wasn't quite sure what to think of this creature. So far all she knew about him that he was a digimon. She knew they were from some sort of card game, and she even had a few cards that she had caught with some other loose stuff. She mostly used them as bookmarks if anything. "Go on." She said.
"I have always been against accepting a human partner. Digimon who support the human race for the sheer strength human partners seem to give them. They are traitors and are no better than the humans themselves. But you. You aren't human. Not to me. You stand against them. You my friend are far more worthy of being called a digimon than a human. For that, I do think we have a future as partners. Two digimon partners together."
Amber thought for a moment, but didn't have much time to do so before a flash of light made a strange purple and black device appear before her. "What... is this?" She asked, looking from the device to the digimon, and back again. She wasn't sure how much she liked it. It looked like stuff humans made for their entertainment, only to throw away and add to the junk they dumped on the planet when they got bored of it.
"It your D-arc. A symbol of our bond and a device that allows you to grant me powers based on digimon cards you swipe through it." The creature explained.
Amber turned the D-arc around in her hand. Such an odd little thing. "You sure know a lot about this stuff." She noted out loud. She pressed a few buttons, setting off a few menus as she experimented with the device.
"I've been in the human world for quite some time. I've been keeping an eye on these 'partners' so I know some general information. on them."
"So I guess you aren't giving me much choice in this matter." She said, attaching her D-arc to one of her belts. "No matter. I think we'll work together perfectly." She said, smiling and patting the digimon on the head.
"You may call me Dorumon." He said, reacting little to the pat on the head. He may have made quite a huge exception for this girl, but it would still take some time to get used to such... contact.
"Call me..." Amber hesitated for a moment, thinking it over. "Ambermon." She said certainly. She then began to head through the forest again, this time with Dorumon tagging along with her.
