The past week was hell for Amber. She had once found reason to live with Dorumon, but it was all a sham. She should have known it would happen. Nobody could be trusted, they were all out to get her in some way or another. Now she was alone, and now she couldn't even figure out why she even bothered to keep living before the furred raptor came along.
She did contemplate killing herself a few times. She tried her claws to slice her throat, but found she couldn't bring herself to do it. Jumping off a bridge didn't quite work either. Nothing worked. It seemed regardless of how lost she felt in this world, her fear of death outweighed it all. She could rely on everyone to betray her here, but what would meet her when she died?
Over the course of the days since Dorumon's betrayal, she had only gotten worse, both mentally and physically. Appearance wise, she was a wreck. Her clothes were ripped, many of the buckles missing, but she didn't bother to repair them. Her hair was a tangled greasy mess, and her skin was caked with dirt, and she didn't bother trying to wash anymore.
Mentally, she had given up on pretty much everything beyond just barely covering the bare necessities. She lost interest in reading, was hardly eating much and spent a good deal of time holed up in her den, just curled up and staring at nothing in particular.

It's been a few days since Reijiro and his chesspiece companion met the strange raptor thingy that implored them to help his insane friend. These three days were spent in doubt, questions, and ... thinking. Thinking on how such situations can be resolved. The boy wanted for a few times to call the ambulance, the madhouse, whatever, but every time he stopped after dialing half a number. He couldn't do that, he gave a promise. So he needed to ... try at least. Despite common sense said no.
- Are you sure this is a good idea? - the pawnchessmon asked for a millionth time already, as they went to deeper into the forest, him carrying a basket with ... things, that one would need to survive in the forest. Food, blankets, some tools, stuff, the usual. They were going to the place the digimon pointed earlier... And the boy remembered the warning not to mention the raptor... It was not an option.
- Sure I'm sure. Look around, she may be nearby... - Reijiro replied as they finally reached the clearing. The hole in the tree, where the girl was supposed to live was here, but it was empty. Hnh, what sort of a place for a person to live in was this anyway?
- She isn't here... Maybe she left?
- I don't think so... Lets just leave this right here. I doubt she will be happy to see us anyway... - Rei replied, and put the basket on a branch of that tree where the hole was in. After that he began to write a note, which said that they will bring stuff next week too, and pawnchessmon was just looking around, her eyes searching for any possible threat...

Curled up in a heap on the floor, Amber was fairly easy to miss. She certainly was there, and it took her little time at all to catch on to the strangers just outside her home. She slipped on her claws and crouched just inside the entrance. "G-go AW-hack" She hissed, though her shout was ruined by a fit of coughing. "I said go away!" She repeated.
Even when trying to be intimidating, she looked absolutely pathetic, unable to even get a warning out without failing to hide her weakness. Her eyes darted wildly between the two. One was clearly human, but the other seemed to be... another digimon? Not that she cared anymore. They were just as horrible as humans and deserved no exception in her mind.

The human and the digimon had stopped almost immediately when they heard that sickly voice from the trunk. It was not like it was scary, just ... very very tired and unhealthy, that's all. Whoever it was, it sure must have been in a very bad state. The voice was also vaguely feminine, and it was not hard to figure out who it was, actually. There weren't many people who'd conveniently be around here, hiding out of sight.
The two turned to the source of the sound, only to see two gleaming eyes staring at them from the darkness of that trunk, much like an owl or something. Except that it was not an owl, the outline was human, and since they were pretty close, they were able to figure the image soon enough. It was a girl, who looked like she did not have a bath for a few weeks, in two words - very dirty and beat up. It was the girl they were looking for.
Reijiro did not even wince when he heard that weak notion of threat to his person. Not because he was exceptionally brave, or because the girl was not in any shape to sound or look threatening, he just ... was very used to all of it. He had it all before, the go aways, the I hate yous, the biting, the screaming, the insults... And did that stop him that time? No, so why would he fear now? A kind smile appeared on his face, he did not fear at all. What was the worst thing she could do to him? Nothing really, at worst he'd run away.
- Don't worry, we will leave soon and bother you not with our presence. We simply brought some stuff to the girl who lives alone in the forest, that's all. - Reijiro said kindly, and put the basket on the branch of her tree, so she could pick them later, when they are away. - Don't wanna be all hungry and messy and sad, right? - he sounded like he was talking to a little child, which was a bit off, considering the girl was about as old as he were...
As for Joan the pwnchessmon, she simply stood there and eyed the claw-wearing girl with an unfriendly glare. The tall human was certainly friendly, but she did remember what the raptor say. She was a crazy, and crazies have a thing on being unpredictable. She held her shield in front of her, and her spear ready to poak should the girl try something funny. Her stance was just telling her one thing: "Don't even think about it."

Amber looked between the two. One was trying to act friendly toward her, while the digimon clearly trying to be defensive, and not even bothering to try and hide it. She could tell what these two were up to in a second. This boy was trying to do was lure her out so his digimon could stab her in the back. Well there was no way she was going to let that happen no matter what bait they offered! "I said go away! I don't want your junk!" She hissed pathetically.
Would he just flinch or something? Okay, she wasn't in the best condition and wasn't as intimidating as she could be, but this guy wasn't even reacting at all. That alone was unbelievably frustrating to her. Well, it's not like it's the only way to deal with them. She thought, digging her claws into the ground.

Reijiro only took a few steps back once he heard the weak notion of "RAWR go away!" again. As much as the girl was in bad state, she still could get angry, and he did not want it to come to that. He wanted to help, not get her pissed off and such. It was understandable she did not trust him, they have never met before. It would take time to earn trust, he hoped that time he will have. Only how much? It took years for him to get through to ... another certain patient. He sighed and shook his head.
- Alright... Alright. We're going. This is your place, we're not welcomed here. Let's go Joan. - he said, slowly backing away from the tree, still eyeing the girl, although not with fright. He kept his smile upon his face, and kept looking friendly. The pawnchessmon however, was not so, she had her spear pointed at the crazy clawing girl, eyes saying "Bring it, bitch!", and her facial expression probably so too, if she had a face. Upon backing out for long enough, Rei wavered friendly to the girl in a sign of good bye, and went back into the forest. Joan was not so nice, she only knocked her spear against her shield warmongeringly, and grudgingly followed, she did not like all of this "babysitting" at all...
... - Why you even bother with her? Sure you gave some word to some random digimon, so what? Who cares? You brought her stuff, and that bitch didn't even say thank you >/
- I care. And she was scared of us, didn't you see it? She was scared of you even though you're third her size and is armed with a poking stick...
- Hey! It's a spear thank you very much. And still, I respect holding word and all, but that guy practically forced you to give your word!
- Hey, I'm not dragging you along with me. You are not obliged to come with me if you don't like it. - Rei proposed in this discussion they had as they went out of the forest. Rei had to return home, and Joan ... stay in the forest. After all, Rei brought her supplies too, so it was understandable she was pissed about someone else he helps giving him such bad treatment. And maybe she was jelly of him helping out someone else too. However, the sudden proposition made her stop in her tracks, eyes blinking. She did not mean that! She did not want to sound offensive or anything...
- I DID NOT SAY THAT! Uh... I mean, who will protect you if she goes apeshit? And who will bring me stuff? - the pawnchessmon blushed heavily under the helmet, and thanked the maker she had it on. Rei only chuckled, as they went. The funny cardboard-armored girl was silly again...

And finally, the two intruders walked away. Good riddance. She thought, pulling herself out of the hole. Her gaze fell on the basket that had been left hanging from her tree. She pulled it off took it back into the den. If they were just going to leave their stuff, it was their loss. Blankets, food, tools. All very... useful stuff. Well, their idiotic trap failed, and she walked away with the goods. For that, she was feeling pretty good about herself. She didn't need some traitorous purple rat to make a living! She was fine on her own!
