Hyogamon being an Ogremon type species of digimon, wasn't particularly smart. However, even he knew it was unlikely that a Palmon would be able to use such an attack as shooting a metal ball. Someone was interfering with his fun. It didn't take long for the culprit to reveal himself. A Dorumon. Hmph. "Well if it isn't the hero. I'll squash you flat too!" he growled as he turned on his new opponent, while forgetting to keep track of the Palmon.
Then the Dorumon had the audacity to taunt him. This will be over quick! Stupid rat... He thought smugly. "You want it, you asked for it! Ice cudgel!" He roared, as he swung his club at the Dorumon.

"An opening!"
The palmon used to think that attacking an opponent in the back was bad and should be frowned upon, but big sis Renee explained her that the opponents who fights "fair" can be counted with the fingers of her hand and any opportunity for a good cheap strike should be taken advantage of.
An immobile enemy was an easy target, so Mirei decided to extend her ivy claws and caught with both of them the right leg of the hyogamon while he was busy swinging his club against the dorugmon, then she "rooted" her root-like legs on the ground and pulled the leg of the icy digimon with all her strength, hoping to be able to make him fall on the ground with his face and that way give the dorumon plenty of time to fill him with metal balls at point blank range

Oh, so predictable morons. The Hyogamon easily fell for his taunt, and as the chilly ogre swung his club, Dorumon jumped out of the way. Meanwhile Palmon had used its vines to trip up the Ogremon, giving him the perfect opportunity to deal some real damage. "Metal Cannon!" Dorumon barked, shooting several metal orbs at the fallen Ogremon.

"Stay still you little rat!" The Hyogamon snapped when Dorumon avoided his attack. He then raised his club for yet another attack, but before he could even swing, the Palmon's vines wrapped around his leg, and as he was completely taken by surprise and was unprepared for the sudden attempt at pulling his foot away, he fell over, landing face first in the snow. Then before he could even get up, he was hit by a barrage of metal orbs straight to the face.
The Hyogamon soon got up though. He wasn't about to lay there and take this. He. was. ANGRY. The Hyogamon pulled himself up, the palmon's vines useless to hold him down now that the element of surprise was gone. The cold ogre simply made to grab the Palmon's vines, with which he would use to twirl the Palmon around and hopefully send it flying right into the Dorumon. He was not over yet though. He was absolutely ticked, and he could feel his power growing rapidly with his fury.
Then out of no where he started to glow with a bright light, and against the white snow, it was almost blinding."Hyogamon digivolve to... IceLeomon!" When the light finally faded, there stood tall the anthromorphic lion, fur as white as snow. Despite being a Leomon now, he did not hold that air of a courageous hero, his expression still spoke rage and hatred for his opponents. The only difference was he no longer appeared as stupid as he was as a Hyogamon.

"Kyaaa!!!"
The little palmon was completely defenseless against the raw physical strength of a hyogamon and even rooted on the ground she was unable to fight back as he pulled her to him and then made her spin and spin and spin until she was too dizzy to even keep her balance, then he let her free and she went flying towards a tree that was near the dorumon. Needless to say, she left out a cry of pain as her back crashes with the tree and her entire body was hurt by the impact, that and she was still dizzy due the hyogamon shenanigans.
The situation was bad enough already like that, and things got even worse as the hyogamon evolved into iceleomon, an even stronger form. Mirei could only watch in horror how the strong foe become now invincible and despaired, tears flowing from her large eyes.
"Waaah .. *sob*, we are going to .. die, sis Renee, HELP!!!"
Alas, her cries for help remained unanswered and this time big sis super Renee wasn't going to save her from danger. This was truly her baptism of fire, and a really lethal one in which her very life could be lost ...

Dorumon flinched as Palmon was thrown towards him, only to narrowly miss and hit a tree instead. She shouldn't have held on so long! They could still win this though. Dorumon was far from giving up at the moment. No angry Hyogamon was going to stop him from giving all he could. However, if things weren't bad already, it was now a hundred times worse as the Hyogamon digivolved into IceLeomon.
Even the Dorumon knew this was bad. Amber wasn't there to help him, and even two rookies would stand no chance against an ultimate level digimon. He could only feel annoyance as the Palmon cried out, and was truly considering running until he realized Palmon had mentioned Renee. My ... stepchild is very good at tending to plants. The fox's words echoed in his mind. "Oh go figure." He growled as he came to realize that it must have been this Palmon that was growing the food that Renee had supplied him and Amber with.
With that knowledge, he couldn't back down now. The Palmon had been of help to him, and though he didn't consider her part of his pack, he couldn't just leave her to die here either. "SHUT UP!" The Dorumon barked, so loudly, so fiercely that the IceLeomon might have flinched. "Crying will not save your life. The enemy will not sympathize with you and will only use the opening you give it to end you there and then. If you want to live, if you want to survive to protect those you care about you need to fight and keep on fighting!"
Whether or not his little pep talk was getting through to the Palmon, it was doing wonders to his own morale. Once more he felt as he did facing BishopChessmon's army. Facing incredible odds, but empowered by his will to fight to protect his comrades. That power enveloped him, until he began to glow much like the IceLeomon had when he digivolved. "Dorumon digivolve to... Sangloupmon!" So he stood, digivolved to champion level. He still wasn't quite as strong as the IceLeomon, but now he stood something of a chance. He then opened with a head on attack, a barrage of sticker blades flying at the wintery feline.

IceLeomon looked down on his two opponents. What appeared to him as rodents in his previous form, now looked nothing more than insects waiting to be squashed, the palmon's cries for help were in vein and only assured him of a quick victory. As the Dorumon went on his little fight and keep fighting speech, IceLeomon drew his sword. The Dorumon could ramble on all he wanted, fight back until he was too tired to move, but he'd still destroy both of these digimon and have their data for dinner.
However, the unexpected happened. The Dorumon suddenly decided to digivolve, and the promise of a quick victory soon faded away as quickly as it came. IceLeomon held his sword up to defend himself from the fire of blades sent towards him. Most of them deflected harmlessly off his sword, only a few of them passing through the defense to pierce the lion's arms and legs. "Digivolve all you want, but it will never be enough! Fist of Ice!" The IceLeomon roared, sending a burst of cold, lion head shaped energy flying towards the Sangloupmon.

"*sobs*, b-but .."
She had almost no confidence in her fighting ability, this was the very first time she had a real fight and while hyogamon was sorta possible to beat with the help of dorumon, he become a foe so powerful that would be impossible to defeat as a iceleomon. However the dorumon was right in something: she had to fight to survive and live to protect those she loves, like her big sis Renee. She was still hesitating about what to do, but the opportune evolution of dorumon into sangloupmon restored her lost hope, she might not want to evolve, but she was going to do everything to help.
"I-I can try .."
Just like before, she took advantage of the iceleomon focusing his wrath on sangloupmon and sneaked away of his sight, then she look around for a tree piece she could handle and using all the strength she could muster, she picked a frozen tree log twice her height and tossed it at the iceleomon. That was all she could do without evolving and hopefully would at least hurt him a little if he doesn't dodge it, although due her not really that cool strength, the "log" traveled at slow speed and it would be a miracle if it hit the iceleomon, as much rolling on his legs and making him trip.

The attack came so fast, Sangloupmon didn't even have time to get out of the way. He got smacked head on by the fist of ice attack, and the piercing cold of the attack sent shivers down his spine. He caught Palmon moving around the field, positioning herself behind the IceLeomon again. Unfortunately, there were problems with that tactic now. Firstly being Palmon wasn't strong enough to deal any real damage to the ultimate level digimon on her own. It would also be too great a risk to have her play distraction. Most importantly, With her directly behind the IceLeomon, if he fired his sticker blade and any of those blades missed, he might end up hitting Palmon instead.
He guessed it was a bit much to expect the pacifist digimon to be able to digivolve. After all, it required a lot of power, and the palmon wasn't exactly brimming with it. With a little luck, he could take this overgrown kitten down on his own. However, the Palmon's presence currently, was quite detrimental to his efforts to fight this digimon. He had to do his very best though. Protect Palmon, and take this jerk down. He then ran circles around the IceLeomon, and as he came half way towards Palmon's position, he began firing his sticker blade attack, so the blades came at the enemy in a half circle.

IceLeomon smirked as the attack landed on the Sangloupmon. It would only take a couple of hits like that to finish the mutt off. Unfortunately for the Palmon, her movements had not escaped the IceLeomon's notice. While he may have been stupidly oblivious to his surroundings as a Hyogamon, his digivolution had granted him an increased awareness as well as power. When the log was thrown at him, he simply spun around and sliced the log mid air with his sword. "Child's play." He sneered.
He then raised his blade again to guard against the Sangloupmon's next sticker blade attack, but unfortunately the vampire wolf was getting a bit more tricky, moving around as he fired his attack. While it was little trouble to simple rotate the direction he was guarding in as the Sangloupmon moved around him, a little more blades hit him than what had resulted from the previous attack.
With the Sangloupmon moving as he was, it would be a bit trickier to try and hit him. "Blizzard breath!" He roared as he spun in place while breathing out a fiercely cold gust of wind and snow, so the attack fired in every direction. Sure, it wouldn't be as strong as a concentrated attack and its attack range was a bit shot, but he stood a greater chance of hitting the Sangloupmon, and perhaps the Palmon too if he was lucky.
