Sangloupmon listened carefully to what the Icemon had told him, a bit irritated by how long it was taking him to actually speak. What the Icemon said indeed made sense, and it was indeed true that digimon spawning in the digital world have been attacked by humans and tamers regardless of whether the digimon was hostile or not. "I'm well aware of the attacks on digimon arriving in the digital world, though I did not believe you would know that, just having come from the digital world yourself. I didn't think there had been anyone that made it back to the digital world that could have brought back that information, but if you are telling the truth, then it could be possible." He noted thoughtfully. That did bring him some hope that his search for a portal wasn't just a wild goose chase.
Amber watched, confused, and getting toward angered that Sangloupmon was hesitating in his attack. The effects of the cards she had used would not last forever and he was wasting time here. "Sangloupmon." She near growled as she glared at the battlefield. "What are you waiting for, finish it off!" She growled impatiently.
Sangloupmon paused in his discussion with the Icemon, and one of his clones rose from the shadows, and turn his gaze toward his tamer. "I do believe there is no need Amber. I can settle this peacefully." He said with certainty.
Amber however, was not impressed by the change of plan. Especially after the previous disaster. "Did you forget what happened last time you tried to make friends?" Amber shot back, completely unimpressed. How could he be making the same mistake twice? He'd turn on him, just like that Lunamon had done. She took her resist downgrade card and swiped it through her digivice.
Sangloupmon sighed in exasperation. "Not everyone is that Lunamon." Sangloupmon grumbled. Thanks a lot Lunamon. He thought savagely. If he hadn't run his mouth and started attacking their lifestyle, Amber wouldn't be like this. Now he was set back to a point he couldn't even make friends with other digimon without upsetting her. Just great, just great.
He turned back to Icemon and he sighed. "You'll have to forgive my partner. She's not entirely well to begin with and a recent encounter with one who I had thought to be a friend has left her even more mistrusting." He apologized, saying the latter half of his statement bitterly. "As for your question, I understand your attack, and in your position might have done the same. Especially being cornered here." He responded, gazing around the digital field. "We've obviously gotten off on the wrong foot here. Surely we can negotiate a friendship, or a truce at least."

Icemon was glad to hear that at least Sangloupmon was buying its story as well as giving it some great information about what went on in the human world. It had originally thought that the whole Digimon being destroyed upon arriving. So much for the story being made of a bunch of rumors. It also wondered why Sangloupmon had said it was possible for. Icemon did not know how any Digimon made it back to the world, but it could probably think of a few ideas that might seem realistic if it meant getting out of this situation without anymore bruising.
Icemon wanted to ask about Sangloupmon's meeting, but the human came over telling him to destroy the frosty Digimon. Sangloupmon began to explain to the girl that Icemon was not an enemy, but a scared Digimon in need of help. There had apparently been some bad experiences that had made her a little hesitant about becoming friends with Digimon. Icemon saw that as a comment that could be considered rude as well as some other words that Icemon didn't want to think about as it disliked them greatly. It just stayed out of the little spat and waited for time to pass before it knew it was safe to say something.
This moment was signaled by Sangloupmon explaining to Icemon what the problem was. " I understand completely. It appears that life has given us all good reason to be cautious around new people." There were many things that Icemon could do in this situation now that would still allow for it to leave the situation alive, but it meant doing something that it was unsure of. It had a strong dislike of humans, and this particular one was still ready to destroy him even though the misunderstanding had been handled. This did not bode well in Icemon's mind, so he had a choice that he needed to make.
"I think we could work out an agreement of some kind that would leave us both happy,but..." Icemon raised its hands in the air with what anyone would considered a depressed facial expression as it truly regretted having to do this, but there was no other choice in its mind for it. "...your friend might cause some problems for me while I stay here like all her species does. I am sorry about doing this, but I can't trust her and in your heart I know that you understand this. I truly believe that in another life we could have been what you called friends, but this fight will go on until one of us falls. Iceball Bomb!" A ball of ice formed over its head, which Icemon flung at Sangloupmon. If it's tear ducts were not frozen, then it would have been crying as it did this attack.

Amber was getting more and more frustrated every minute they continued sitting there, waiting for the Icemon to take advantage of Sangloupmon's hesitation. She swiped her second metal attack card through her digivice and brought Sangloupmon back up to strength to finish the Icemon off good, if only he'd hurry up and do it!
Sangloupmon's expression darkened as the Icemon's attitude towards him and Amber became more negative, and the Icemon's words ended in attack. Figures. Was the only thought that came through his mind as he was struck by the exploding ice ball attack. Fortunately though, the Icemon seemed to have forgotten about the second Sangloupmon that was still hidden in the shadows, which came up the second the Ice ball attack was called, and fired another barrage of sticker blades at the Icemon, just as the first went back into the shadows after being hit.
"If that's how its going to be with you, then you've sealed your fate." the Sangloupmon growled, as the first Sangloupmon appeared again and sent a second sticker blade assault at the Icemon.

Icemon watched as the attack hit it's mark only to feel the pain of the second assault from the clone. It's time in this world was coming to an end as it could feel itself begin to come apart at the digi-seams. One more attack was going to end it quickly, so it's next few moments were going to be important if it was going to cause any doubt in this Sangloupmon's mind.
"My fate was sealed the moment I stepped foot into this world, but you will soon find out about this yourself when your human turns on you. No human can be trusted in the end!" It watched the shadows waiting for the final assault to come and take it away from this world. Icemon was ready to go now that it had at least gotten a look at what the world of the humans was like.
The final blade attack came at from out of nowhere, and it knew that the game was over as data began to break off of it's body. "Goodbye, cruel world. And I hope that my data will rot you from the inside out." With that being said, Icemon broke up into little data particles as most Digimon did when they entered this world. **** DP awarded: 40

Sangloupmon snorted at the Icemon. Such a foolish digimon. "Just known your fate is only the result of your own actions. You need not have died, but whether it was decided when you arrived or later on; your path was the one you chose." He said somberly. His thoughts shifted to Amber, and he felt fear for her. He knew she may befall the same fate as Icemon, both driven by senseless hatred. Was he doing something wrong?
The Icemon through some more hateful words out, running his mouth right to the bitter end. He would have been a pain in the tail anyways. Sangloupmon thought bitterly. He simply watched the Icemon's data vanish into the sky, deciding that despite it's poor decisions, it deserved a second chance at life. He wasn't an enemy to be destroyed, just a misguided fool who might learn differently in a new life.
Sangloupmon's clone vanished as the card's effects wore off finally, and he turned to face his tamer. She wore an expression of distaste that pretty much said 'I told you so'. "There are friends out there Amber. Lunamon and Icemon may not be them, but we only find out by giving them a chance." Sangloupmon explained, hoping she would for once in her life, see sense.
"We have each other, we don't need to risk defeat for others." Amber growled, eyes flashing at her partner. She wished her partner would cut this out already. All this obsession with making friends with enemies. She gave him all he needed, what more did he want? He was really getting on her nerves lately.
Sangloupmon frowned, and followed Amber silently back to their den. It felt so hopeless being able to change Amber's mind about all of this, and his fears of Amber falling to Icemon's fate seemed even more real. What did he have to do differently to help her before it was too late?
