"What was that about?"
Dorumon didn't want to go straight home. He was already fuming from his encounter with Lunamon, and he didn't really want to have to face the inevitable questioning from his tamer so soon after. However, he didn't much of a choice. If he didn't return soon, then she'd just go chasing after him, and things would have only been worse at that point.
"I had thought of him as a friend, but I know now I was mistaken." Dorumon grumbled, his voice low and showing clear annoyance. That Lunamon was no friend. What did the rodent hope to achieve? Did he think criticism would magically change his and Amber's situation? He spoke of other more peaceful ways, but when asked about it, he didn't even acknowledge the question.
"He sided with humans. What other hint do you need that he isn't your friend?" Amber spat crossly as she began stitching a hole in her second pair of pants. The green was a stark contrast to the black of the fabric, but other than pink that was all she had at the moment. "He's nothing but a traitor and next time you meet him you should not hesitate to eliminate him."
"Yes Ambermon." He grumbled. He was never going to be able to find a digi-gate fast enough. Life here was too difficult for a human on their own. In the digital world, they wouldn't have to concern themselves with food or other humans. But it was so far away.
Suddenly, Amber's digivice began to flash, and she snatched it up. "There's a digimon appearing nearby. Don't fail me this time." said Amber, as she crawled out of the hollow. Dorumon followed after her and they headed for the source of the signal.

The mist that accompanied the Digital Field began to grow with the emergence of the new Digimon. It was in the fetal position upon the beginning of its passing into the Real World, but it was now getting up and gearing up for a fight. It outstretched it's arms to loosen up it's rocky joints that it calls elbows. A chill filled the air as the Digimon began to move around in this new world, and with each footprint snow covered the ground.
It caught glimpse of a Digimon and a human, who appeared to know that it was coming. "So this is what a human and it's Digimon pet look like? I have to say that I am not impressed one bit." It cracked it's knuckles like one of those bouncers you find at one of those clubs would when a disgruntled drunk gets thrown out of a club comes back looking for trouble.
"Prepare to fall at the hands of Icemon." It raised it's hands above it's head and conjured up a snowy ball. "Iceball Boom!", it cried before flinging it towards the two of them without even batting an eyelash even though it lacked eyelashes.

Amber and Dorumon entered the digital field, and what they found within, appeared to be a digimon made out of ice, and it was called Icemon. Go figure. "Such criticism hardly means anything coming from an ice sculpture reject." Dorumon remarked dryly. There wasn't much time to be wasted on chatter however, as the Icemon sent a ball of ice at him. Though he tried to dodge out of the way, he still got hit by the explosion that followed its contact with the ground before him.
Meanwhile, Amber had taken out her digivice and was looking up the digimon they had encountered. Icemon, champion level, special attack -- Iceball Bomb. "Well I think we already figured that out." Amber mumbled as she glanced up at the ensuing battle between Dorumon and the Icemon. Well, it was a level above Dorumon. Dorumon was strong, but it was better for them if they leveled the playing field. "Digimodify! Digivolution activate!" She said, swiping the digivice card.
Dorumon began to glow in a blinding light, and his form began to change. When the light subsided, it revealed... Nothing! From what could be seen, Dorumon had completely disappeared. That of course, wasn't entirely true. He was still there, but as the digivolution's light subsided, he had melted his data into the shadows, and this was a forest. Shadows were all around and melted together, allowing him to move between them unseen. Once in position, he jumped out, and flipped in the air, hurling a rain of metal blades down on the Icemon. Dorumon had digivolved into Sangloupmon.

Icemon really liked the Iceball bomb attack for it's simple ability to still hit the enemy even after dodging. It made him feel more powerful to hurt someone for some weird reason. It could have done with out the sarcastic and insulting retort by the little furball, but it would have been a lot worse if the attack had done nothing. Now Icemon needed to plan its next move before the tamed one got his head in the game and began to counterattack. "Is this the life that you think a Digimon should lead? Being reliant on such weak creatures in order to grow stronger."
It's eyes were trying to focus on his actual opponent, so he did not see what the girl was doing with the contraption in her hand. What she had done became very clear to Icemon when Dorumon digivolved into something a little more fierce, which was not something that Icemon wanted to deal with when he came into this world. The attack that he sent at Icemon was several blades that were coming at him from above. "Solid State!" A ray of light came down upon the frosty Digimon that boosted the defense of his body so the blades didn't do that much damage.
"Is that the best you got, you ugly mutt? I have seen better fighters at a Digi-day care. How about a little bit more Iceball Bombs?" Icemon began to rapidly send his Christmas toys out for all little children to see and feel. It was going to be a painful winter indeed if everything went well. If luck was on his side, then maybe he could take out the disgusting human as well as the traitorous Digimon that she claimed as her own.

Predictable. Sangloupmon thought as he leaped away from the ice bomb attack. He may have failed to avoid such an attack as Dorumon, but he was a lot more agile now, and he was able to jump much farther away to keep out of the attack's blast radius. "Humans have their own power and we lend our strength to each other. Its more than can be said for you, being reliant on petty insults that do nothing for you." He sneered, once again disappearing into the shadows, to stage his next attack.
Amber was unconcerned for the Icemon's increase in defense. He was only delaying the inevitable, and she had more than enough planned to take him down. Now they were on to step two -- digicopy. She swiped the card through her digivice, and now unknown to the Icemon, his problems just doubled.
Within the shadows, not one but two Sangloupmon now lurked, like sharks, minus the fin to giveaway position. The first Sangloupmon jumped up first, this time right in front of the Icemon, and rained another assault of sticker blades on him. Then up came the second Sangloupmon to deliver a surprise assault from behind.

Icemon didn't care about what his enemy was saying about humans giving strength to Digimon and vice versa. It just wanted to destroy this little fluff of scum before it began attacking the city. It's intention was to cause as much damage as possible before issuing demands to the human leaders, but none of this couldn't happen until he popped this little shadow mutt into oblivion. "If the human is giving you strength, then why do keep running back to the shadows for protection? It seems that she must only be giving you enough to run like a coward."
When the Sangloupmon jumped at Icemon directly from the shadows, it thought that it's statement had irritated his opponent. Icemon put up it's arms to block the attack only to feel the painful sensation of being stabbed in the back by what seemed to be another one. I'll admit. That was a pretty decent move. I didn't even think that you could do that. Is this the power that your human has given you?" It didn't know of any Champions that could clone themselves like that, but learning was part of the experience of a fight.
It needed only a second to think of what needed to be done now. It only had a brief moment to counterattack, which meant that now was the time for something a little more dangerous. "On the Block!" A giant lump of ice appeared overhead and came crashing down very fast. The attack should hit everyone, which meant that Icemon was not going to like itself when it was all said and done, but there was not point in wasting time as it might not even see tomorrow anyway.

"It is only a sampling of our power." Sangloupmon responded to the Icemon's question, choosing to ignore it's first remark about his tactics. If the Icemon was foolish enough to call strategy cowardice, then he preferred to leave him to it. It only served himself well to let his opponent continue believing such arrogant thoughts. Then the Icemon's attack came crashing down on the entire area, giving neither Sangloupmon chance to dodge and they ended up momentarily crushed, though they avoided further damage by melting back into the shadows.
Amber backed away as the ice came down, striking the entire field. "Sangloupmon..." She muttered in slight panic, but her partner and it's clone soon dissipated into the shadows, and Amber shoved the thoughts away. Now was not the time to panic. This was far from over. She took her next card -- Metal Attack and swiped it through her digivice.
Both Sangloupmon continued circling the Icemon, getting into position for their attack. First one came up from behind and to the left, and both its appearance, and following attack of another rain of sticker blades revealed that he'd been covered in metal, and his attack power had rose to that of an ultimate. The second Sangloupmon appeared again from behind, and a bit to the right, and it had also taken the effects of the metal attack card. It too fired a sticker blade attack on the Icemon.

Icemon was a little rattled by it's own attack it covered the frosty Digimon in ice as well as the area around it, but at least it had gotten the disastrous duo as well. It would have been better if it had been allotted more time to recover from the previous attacks. It was out numbered, and though it hated to admit the Sangloupmon was more powerful than was previously thought. There was no way that this battle was going to end in the destruction of his enemy. If this was just a sampling of their power, then Icemon pitied whatever being got the full blunt of whatever the two of them deemed full power.
All that Icemon had ever wanted to do was go to the human world to find a place where it wouldn't have to worry about being attacked by some stronger Digimon. When it had been given the opportunity to go to the real world, it thought that it's dream had come true, but now it knew the truth. Icemon saw that it's destiny was to fall in this world without actually seeing it. "So this is what they called the end? No wonder people are always depressed about it. My one chance at a peaceful existence is going by so quickly now. No wonder so many Digimon hate this world."
It slowly rose to it's feet to wait the oncoming attack that was most definitely coming at it from probably two sides again. Sangloupmon seemed like a Digimon that used the same moves over and over again, so it would only change which one would be coming at it. "Well if I die today, then I shall die fighting you with everything I am. You'll have to earn my data, back-stabbing devil hound. I hope that your demise is very painful. It is what you deserve." It scanned the shadows for any sign that would tell it where one of them was. The odds were against him, but he still had to try and survive.
As soon as one of the Sangloupmon appeared with an attack in front of it, Icemon closed it's eyes and called for another icy attack. "On the Block!" Another large amount of ice dropped down on top of them all. Icemon became covered in ice again which did block part of the knives attack, but it still damaged it a bit. It was like fighting with just the blade of a sword and no handle. Either way of fighting meant that Icemon was going to be injured, but this way the opponent might be hurt as well.

"Peaceful existence? If you wanted a chance for peace you shouldn't have attacked me in the first place." He growled, slightly urked that the Icemon would act as if he was the bad guy in this situation. Idiot little ice block. Then came another of those block attacks that came crashing down on himself and his clone. Again, they took the hit, feeling crushing pain from the attack before melting into the shadows again.
Amber glared as the Icemon continued with its giant ice block. How stupid could it be? Hurting itself in a battle where it was already getting hurt? Whatever. That digimon clearly was looking to die, so she and Sangloupmon would help it along. She grabbed her back up chip and swiped it through her digivice, extending the duration of her previous cards a little longer.
Once the ice block attack finished, both Sangloupmon circled the Icemon from within the shadows. He however, was taking longer than usual to decide on his move, as he thought over what to do with this Icemon. "So Icemon. If it is a peaceful existence you want, how about explaining why you attacked me." He asked, this time not coming up to attack at all. The Icemon had started off hostile, but he seemed to change his tune the moment he started losing. This could be a misunderstanding... or an act that he might walking right into. Well, if worse came to worse, he could just finish him off.

What Sangloupmon said to Icemon made sense to anyone that was new to the situation, but Icemon knew things that apparently Sangloupmon did not. This was turning into a fact finding mission, which was okay with the winter loving Digimon. It just gave it more time to recuperate from the previous assaults from this dangerous Digimon. Now all it needed to do was drag out the conversation long enough for it to actually build up enough energy to attack or defend itself again, but that could be harder to do than it thought. It wasn't the most informed Digimon of either world, so talking for very long times could prove to be the most difficult thing that it had ever done.
"Are you telling me that you are unaware of the tragedies that have occurred to wild Digimon that come to this world? If you are with a human, then you must know all about them for it is the humans that are performing these acts of cruelty." It took a moment to formulate the words that it could use that would make the sentences longer and therefore take more time to say. It may stood a chance of surviving if it could convince this enemy Digimon that it was not the enemy but merely another victim of the fear that humans had brought to all Digimon.
It tried to stare into it's opponents eyes before continuing, but only made it so far as below the mouth. "Countless innocent Digimon have been destroyed by the humans to the point that getting reconfigured is not an option, and this is not limited to just the hostile ones from before the D-Reaper's attack. Any Digimon that comes to this world gets attacked by a human, and some of these humans have Digimon that they use to battle for them like slaves."
Icemon was very proud of itself for talking this long about a subject that it sort of knew about. It was piecing together random rumors that it had heard throughout it's life, but some of them had to be true in it's mind as most rumors are based on facts. "My attack was only out of fear that you and your friend were like these other humans that seek to destroy all Digimon. I could risk my life asking you if you were friend or foe just to have you lie to me about it. If the positions were reversed, would you have walked over and asked if I was a bad Digimon?"
